Good morning!

Joy - PM me your blog link pretty please, I'd love to see your growing belly! And try this link for great layette/coming home stuff. I bought the newborn set in white and I think Nathalie did too. Also, some proceeds go to a global children's charity! Shopping for a good cause -- was there ever a better thing to do? http://www.teacollection.com/site/index.htm
Also try this one, I bought a bunch of things from this site and LOVE it, so well constructed and also comes in tiny sizes for your wee girls! Petit Patapon: Boutique designer clothing for your child - Fall/Winter 2007

Robin - I can't wait to look at your registry! I was so beat lastnight when I got home from mani/pedis with my sister and little nieces I totally crashed!

Tripp - Hi! Welcome back. I have tons of nieces and nephews and am getting some choice hand-me-down clothes, but as you're probably figuring out, I'm a little bit of a shopaholic, so I've also bought plenty of new things! As far as gear, we're buying all new - crib, stroller, dresser, glider, etc.

Peachy - Oh my goodness. I am swooning over little Aiden! Reid's foot pictures are my favorite too. I love his little round belly! Remind me, how much does he weigh and how long is he? At my 18w u/s Reid was measuring 18w4d at 10inches (soooo long!) and 8oz. Hibachi....yummmmmm. Glad that you girls had a good time!

Mirka - You're so welcome! And remember, I am happy to be your personal shopping consultant anytime! There's nothing wrong with naked babies and lots of blankets, so don't get overwhelmed! I'm so jealous you got a DVD of your potato boy....they don't even record via VHS tape at my place! No rain at all?!? Does that mean we don't get to hear from you so much anymore...I hope not.

Grits - I'm on your prayer wagon. Please stop by anytime and tell us how you're doing! I always felt excited before starting a cycle too.

Boston - I just signed up for my classes this week! If you go to Destination Maternity, do some shopping for me. There's not one anywhere near me!

Maybe - In honor of our not wanting to eat anything, and in an effort to EAT something "new".... I went to the Cheesecake Factory with my sister and her kids lastnight and shared a piece of key lime cheesecake with my niece. At around 11:00 p.m. I woke up with the worst heartburn ever! Maybe we keep eating the same boring stuff because the baby knows he won't like anything else!

Nathalie - How was the fair, girlfriend? Did you eat an elephant ear and a corndog? I know those would send me spinning right now but normally I would dig them in a serious way. How many dogs do you have (reading your screen name, I'd guess two?). I have begged for another dog and when the Humane Society got a big litter of Labradoodles I even tried to get another one, but my DH is totally against it! He thinks I'm out of my mind which I might very well be. Hehe. Oh and I meant to ask you - are you still flying? And, are people nice to pregnant ladies who have to get up and use the restroom all the time? I hope so! Six hours to Hawaii is going to mean at least four trips to the restroom!

I am putting on my bragging auntie hat again...here are some more shots of my nieces Eva and Paige. Eva you've seen before. They did family shots this weekend. Adorable! They couldn't be more different...yesterday at mani/pedis Eva got bright pink sparkly polish and a flower on her toes while Paige got only clear.

I haven't posted forever but have been keeping up with the thread. So...thought that I would finally pop into the conversation and say hello. It looks like everyone is doing great and it's such a relief to be far enough along to relax a bit.

Peachy... your u/s pics were adorable!

We still haven't registered or shopped for anything either. I am planning to start the online registry later this weekend.

I had an O/B appt yesterday. They had to do a culposcopy to look at my cervix. NOT comfortable. I had some very low grade abnormal cells on my pap at the beginning of pg. Anyway... after she looked she repeated the pap and said that she is just planning to repeat the pap again 6 weeks after delivery. WHEW. I was very crampy all night though.

I have my anatomy scan on Sept. 13th so we will know then if it is a boy or girl. DH and I are both thinking girl now so baby will probably be a boy. We are still stumped on boy names too...

On the weight gain I've gained 11 lbs so far. Seems like more but I guess not.
So glad to see that everyone is doing well! Sorry for the long post.

OMG Maggie... your nieces are gorgeous!

MM - your nieces are just SO adorable!! Love them!!!

Vanessa - it's good to see you here again! Ugh...colposcopies are uncomfortable...I've had one before....not fun at all. You have my sympathy on that one! It's great news that everything looks OK though and she'll just repeat the pap after delivery. Phew! It's good to have another lady here that is slow with the shopping.

Glad to see so many of our old friends!! We missed all of you. Maybebaby you are amazing. We're nominating you as group detective!

One forewarning about the classes at BabiesRUs. Some are just videotape classes with freebies like the one Tripp took. Just ask at the registry desk and they can tell you which classes are taught by live people. Also, if you are overwhelmed by registering, they do a once a month registry class after hours when the store is closed. They take you up and down each aisle and touch on the major items. I know ours here is on a Sunday evening.

As far as hospital classes, a lot of the classes at our hospital are full too! The earliest c-section class I could get was for the end of September and I'm expecting to be on bedrest by October. And, Havana and I have been trying to sign our hubbies up for Daddy Bootcamp at the hospital and it's full through October with no new classes opening up. Just a warning. And, there is a charge for all the classes at our hospital. Many do include free books though.

MM - Your nieces and nephews are so adorable! What wonderful pictures and memories. Great planning on their part to be taking lots of family pictures every year. I don't remember how long Aiden is and it doesn't say on the printouts. He was 11oz. so I think I've got a big boy growing!

Robin - Good work on the early signup for classes. Is there one major delivery hospital in Charlotte too? That's how it is here and that's why the classes fill up so quickly. I'm going to look back through the list today.

Mirka - I'm so glad your u/s went wonderfully yesterday! How fun that you got sent home with the dvd. Guess your little potato likes life on the tractor!

Peachy - your little Aiden is SO adorable! And, I love the feet!!! I don't have a shot like that, so I'm definitely going to ask for one at my next appt. So adorable!! Glad to hear the class went well...I need to get scheduled for some classes soon! I'm jealous of your class last night...sounds like you and Havana had such a great experience and learned a lot!

Welcome back Vanessa!!!

MM - wow...I would be bragging all the time about those nieces and nephews! ADORABLE! I love the Tea Collection...have a few things from them! I'm going to check out that other wesbite...looks great!

Mirka - sounds like your little man is really growing! How awesome that they gave you a 15 min DVD! Sorry you didn't get any of that rain...I'm sure you are ready for some!

Grits - you will definitely be in my prayers!!! We're thinking of you! Best wishes on everything!

Robin - our furniture came last night and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! It is perfect and so well built! I couldn't be more pleased! I was worried because earlier in the week I was thinking that maybe I should have bought white furniture since they are girls, but I'm really glad I went with the dark since their bedding has so much white in it!

I'm ordering this thing today and am so excited about it! I know they won't use it for a while, but I've heard such good things about it from multiples moms that since its on limited edition I'm buying one now. Tripp/LineaLi - you should order one too!

we have two major hospitals, Carolina Medical and Presbyterian... everyone i've talked to says Presby is better, we've toured both and decided to go with the Presby. They have a weekend class (Friday night then back all day Saturday) that covers everything from chilbirth to baby CPR to breastfeeding... that's the one we are taking...

question: which feeding bottles (esp. Avent or Dr. Brown) did you all pick?

Ah! The fact that the hospital classes are filling up so fast near you makes sense now. There are what seems like a zillion hospitals to choose from up here for delivery...so the pregnant population isn't trying to get into classes at the same hospital.

Robin - I registered for a small package of the 4oz bottles of each. The peditricians last night said those are the two most popular brands by far and they would recommend either one. Both peds said to start with the 4oz. bottles and get a few from each brand b/c your baby will probably prefer one over the other. That's what my friends had been saying too. They did not recommend buying one of those big starter kits until you know which bottle will work for you. That's a great class that you have that covers everything all at once!

Joy - I can't wait to check out your blog today!! I hope you have lots of belly pics. I'm so glad you love the furniture. It must be so exciting now. The feet picture just happened to work out but it is so cute and I wouldn't have thought of it. I guess the mean u/s tech was good for something

Cool

Grits!-- So happy to hear from you. I am always wondering about you. Of course I will send lots of prayers your way for a fantastic FET. Please keep in touch. I miss you!

Peachy- Awww...Aiden looks so adorable!! I especially love the one of his little feet. Too cute. Haha on the chef that felt guilty on not feeding you enough. Well, I guess that is flattering that he didn't think you guys "looked" pregnant! I cracked up at the visual of your dog Cooper lusting after his girlfriend Porshe from his car window! I love the dog stories.

Mirka- So jealous that you got a 15 min DVD!! Lucky girl!

Joy- LOVED your blog!! Great pictures of you & Dh & the girl's!! So happy for you. Thanks for sharing. I pm'd you too.

MM- Okay, how come the pics of your neices & nephews look like something from a Gap catalog??! I am jealous. They are so photogenic and what beautiful photography. Are they professionally done? Sounds like you had a fun day yesterday with the girl's day out. Fair was fun, got home at MIDNIGHT!! I ate lots but my favorite was onion strings with garlic sauce, yummmm!! Had an elephant ear too but could not finish it. Oh, Labradoodles are so cute! I heard that they don't shed. I do have 2 dogs but I had to put my third dog down back in April, Cody. He was a black Schnauzer mix, 14 yrs old. Had a tumor in his liver. The sweetest soul. He loved babies. I think he liked the fact that they smelled like food. I miss him so much I ache for him.

Vlinscott- back and hello! I've only been on this thread for over a month now. Great group of girl's. Don't feel bad about not buying anything, I haven't either.

Tripp- back as well & hello!

Have a great day everyone!

Nathalie

i figured that this baby will be the decision maker in the family... hehe... i registered for one of the starter kits since they have brushes... i also have both brands in my registry, i think i'll just leave it like that! Dr. Brown's have better reviews, i think..
