Boston-WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO TELL SOMEONE-ANYONE?? I was just thinking while catching up on the posts...What happened when Boston told people? Did I miss something?? How in the world can you hide it?? I feel like those chicks on tv who are obviously pregnant who are hiding behind lamps and holding their purses in front of their stomachs.

Hey so after my fab lunch with Peachy today I went to show some property (we're in real estate). GUESS what the buyer does for a living?? She's an UltraSound TECH! I was like drooling all over her. I made sure to do some extra a** kissing so she would love me and give me ultrasounds. Ohh.. I wonder if she has her own stuff at home (dreaming) that would be soooo cool! Peach, we would have to be like her new best friend, so we could go over to her house and get ultrasounds all the time. Robin, you're not THAT far from the ATL, you could drive down and we could have a party! haha!

Oh and you girls are cracking me up with the raw chicken and burnt popcorn stories. It does make me nervous, Im not having much nausea at all. Only every now and then when I get hungry, I start to feel sick...I hope everything is ok! My next u/s isnt for a whole WEEK! AHHHH!

An ultrasound tech??? Can we work a deal on commission Maybe a group discount for an ultrasound party? We need some inside contacts. I have a doctor brother and a nurse SIL and still no ultrasounds in the family. Hmmm... my brother does echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart)... too bad we don't need any of that equipment!

Guess we'll just have to do a couple of those 3D u/s once we get a little further along!

Well I guess I should jump in here since I'm due in January (January 17th). I have my first ob appointment tomorrow at 9 then I have to take my husband to a doctors appointment at noon in the city. Boy oh boy am I going to have a long day lol. I was reading some of your post but I haven't read all the 16 pages in this thread yet. I just started thinking of stretch marks and was wondering what some of you are using to keep from getting them?

Also, I will definitely take it easy on the trip, I plan to hang out with my month old nephew. My doctor gave me a note for my meds and I’m good to go!

hmm, Robin, if she knows you're pregnant, just tell her the truth and that you're not feeling upto it right now but hopefully will be able to do something soon and you're sorry you'll miss it! Otherwise, I could see vomit all over the floor and that wouldn't be a very good party for her!

Havana- you are too funny! An u/s party, huh? My friend is studying to be an u/s tech but I never thought that I'd be able to visit for updates on my baby, hmm, now you've got me thinking! And hiding behind fence posts and purses, huh? Did you watch Desperate housewives when they concealed bree's pregnancy? She had pillows

And Peachy, I have two friends who got that line- and it does disappear for most after the pregnancy is over...I found this info "There is no way to prevent or erase the linea negra. However, if it bothers you, here's what you can do:

• Reduce pigment changes by protecting yourself from the sun and avoiding bleaching products.
• Get enough folic acid. Folic acid deficiency may increase skin discoloration.
• If the line bothers you, try covering it up with some concealing makeup. "

Havana -- You CRACK ME UP!!!! And I am so very jealous that you and Peachy got to meet up. We are within days of each other, so now I feel left out! J/K. Teehee! I just can't stop laughing about the ultrasound tech and drooling. Hilarious. Too funny. It feels so good to laugh about how neurotic we are. It feels even better to know I'm not the only crazy lady out there!

Tomorrow I meet with my OB/GYN who isn't the original one that my RE recommended for me, but she's packed and can't take me on until I'm 20 weeks so I'm getting this other OB and get this -- he is an old fogey! I mean really old -- can you even guess? He's 86! No Kidding! The nurse was like "he just stopped delivering babies last year" and I'm like "yeah, because he can hardly see them anymore!" Jeepers! My only criteria for my OB/GYN was "somewhat young and hip." Oh well...I'm only with Dr. Old Eyes for two appointments at most. He's a very nice old fella, I'm sure.

Off to eat some more Jello which seems to be my latest obsession....

Maggie - You're cracking me up with the senior moment of an OB! Just think of all those years of experience. Maybe keep him away from the u/s until he's had his eyes checked

I wish we had more Southerners to keep us company down here. Anyone want to do a trip to Atlanta for their babymoon? We've got lots of room!

Well, I'm under the 48 hour count till the next u/s. Can you say stressed?? My poor DH is off the next two days and is stuck with me and my nervous habits. We're eating more ice cream at the moment. By Wed I'll either be fat or pregnant!

Peachy, i've been having my daily ice cream as well. Even when i'm feeling sick, I somehow manage to eat some Less than 48 hours to go for your u/s- hang in there!

MaggieMay-- 86??? OMG!!! I can't believe that. That'd be like my grandfather checking on you! You get to switch to the other dr at 20 weeks though? And if the 86 yr old doesn't deliver, does that mean the other dr does all the deliveries at that practice or are there other drs there as well?

Maybebaby-- WOW! Are you all packed? Sounds like it will be lots of fun. Are you going to get a wheelchair at the airport and make DH push you around? (kidding!, although I would so love that, walking the airport is sometimes quite a pain)

Havana - you crack me up! I guess we'll tell people after my first OB appointment (which is Monday afternoon). We still like having it as our secret. We don't see our family that often (mine lives about 45 minutes away and my DH's is usually at their beach house this time of year or in NC visiting their granddaughter). So, it's been a pretty easy secret to keep. I do have one girl friend that I've been friends with since we were 2 yrs old and I think she knows something is up...I saw her last weekend. But, she's discrete enough not to ask anything until I'm ready to tell her.

Hobokitty - We were all just talking about stretch marks yesterday! From what I've read in all the pregnancy books I bought, stretch marks are a genetic thing...so if your mom had them, you'll have them and their is no magic product that will prevent it. But, it's not stopping any of us from trying anyway!! hahaha

MaggieMay - 86 years old?! Seriously!? Can he even see well enough to know what he's looking at? hahaha
