Yeah, I'd imagine it would make things interesting! The end of those two weeks will be here before you know it though!

Lately I'm starving around 10am every day so you're not alone! I'm basically eating small things all day long now because when I get hungry, I feel SO sick.

I usually don't have much luck there but, I just got an e-mail from Ann Taylor LOFT about their new maternity line! Ann Taylor LOFT : Maternity Just thought I'd let you ladies know there is a new place to check out for maternity clothes. I was looking at their stuff on-line and it looks cute! The smallest maternity size they have (based on pre-pregnancy sizes) is a 4-6 though...so if you're an elf like me you may need to have some alterations done on what you buy. You ladies in the Atlanta area are lucky, there is a LOFT store in Atlanta that will be carrying the maternity line (Ann Taylor LOFT ). Happy shopping!!

Me too. I definately cannot let myself get hungry or else I'm not feeling so good. Unfortunately I've gained about 5 lbs, and I think alot of it is not baby weight-just from that constant need to eat. I just went shopping this weekend and went up a pants size to be comfy, and bought some roomy tops. Oh well, I guess it's bound to happen, but I'm going to try to up the activtity to keep in shape, anyway.

Hi everyone. Just stopped in for a quick mood pick-me-up reading all your fun posts. I'm feeling kinda down after all the sad results from some of our January due-date ladies. I'm now even more nervous about my u/s on Saturday and am almost too scared to go. I don't feel pregnant at all and I am now convinced its all over. Anyway, I don't mean to whinge...its just no-one else really understands how scary this can be. It feels like it took soooooo long to get my BFP that I don't know how I'm going to be if it all goes wrong. I know theres nothing I can do but still....at least in the meantime reading about happy pregnancy topics from all of you is helping me get through. Keep it up ladies!

I haven't gained any weight yet but, there is no way I can come CLOSE to buttoning my pants. Is it weird that I haven't gained weight but have gained inches in my waist? I still haven't purchased new clothes yet....though I know I probably should...these Bella Bands don't always look so hot with my work clothes. I'm waiting until I can buy maternity clothes...I can't bring myself to spend the money on a regular size larger to get me through the next couple weeks...especially when I factor in the cost of getting all the pants shortened and the other alternations I might need.

For the holidays, my DH hired a fashion consultant/personal shopper for me and she got me a whole new wardrobe (the clothes were part of the gift from him too). Now I try not to cry when I put on those nice clothes and I can't button them. I hope they'll be motivation for me to work hard to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight after I have the baby. hahaha

Please try not to worry, designdiva!! I am sure your u/s will show that everything is progressing well. I know it's hard not to worry...it's normal to worry! We're all here for you if you need to vent, air concerns/frustrations or share a laugh!

Alana, hang in there. I know how terrifying these first few weeks are, but try and remain hopeful!!! Also, your bfp was on a natural cycle and your cycles are long, so there is NO WAY that they can date that completely accurately unless you know that you only bd'd on one particular day! So, I really wouldn't worry about baby measuring a little small- completely normal.

Boston, thanks for the info on ann taylor loft. Funny that they carry 0-2 in petites in the stores and not in maternity. But you said you don't have much luck there? My other boston friend is a size 0 petite and I know 2 of her best friends from the area are too-- is there something about boston that there's a lot of petite women there? That's awesome that your DH got you a personal shopper for christmas!!! I would so love that. First i need a new closet. And I will say this- breastfeeding burns an extra 500 calories a day and it helped me to lose my weight the first time around so fast. I also had a workout video that I loved, I believe it was cindy crawford that had 15-30 minute workouts you could do w/ baby laying on a blanket next to you...

Maggie, i've also gained weight already but I'm just telling myself that I'lll lose it all after baby is here and no scales till then! My first pregnancy, i lost 5 pounds during weeks 7-9 because I was vomiting so much. I'm kinda wondering if that will happen again...

Hahaha...I don't know why you know so many tiny Bostonians! I'd say most people are more average/normal sized here! hahaha I've just always been small...I'm the only one in my family that is this way. And I've always eaten like a pig and not exercised (except for an occassional yoga class). Disgusting, I know. I know it will all catch up to me now that I'm pregnant!

I know, it's weird that I can't find anything in LOFT. They carry small petite sizes (non-maternity) but they never fit me right. Something about their cuts just doesn't drape well on my body. Even though I'm a 0, I have decent curves...my waist is small (not for long) but I have hips and my bra cups are a C. So, I'm not a normal 0 petite. Plus, for a petite, I have a long torso, so I need to buy a regular size for the torso length and have the sleeves shortened and have it pulled in where I need it. It's quite a process. hahahaha So, I NEVER buy clothes...I HATE clothes shopping....nothing fits properly and I usually end up in tears in the dressing room by the 4th store I go into without finding anything.

DesignDiva - I'm right there with you with the worrying today. It's been a rough week on the board. Just keep trying to do all the right things - rest, eat good, no lifting - so at least you know that baby has a fighting chance.

Michy - I think your 2nd u/s is today. I truly hope you get great news about the twins!! We all need some celebrating around here.

Boston - I just forwarded your link to another petite pregnant friend that lives near the Atlanta store. It's a little far for Havana and I. We both live closer to the city and it's in the northern suburbs. Maybe we'll get desperate enough one of these days!

Bummer, when I saw that the address was in Atlanta, I figured it would be convenient for you. I forget sometimes that not every city is as small as Boston! Georgia's lucky with two LOFT stores carrying the maternity line (Alpharetta and Atlanta). The pregnant women in MA are being cheated. hahaha

wow you girls are busy today!! So maggie, I was dying at your old man OB! That's hilarious!! Maybe you should stake out the parking garage and see if he actually can drive to work! If his kid drops him off, RUN! Dont look back!

Boston-I love my Belly Band- I CANT button my pants at all. I tried to put on these cute capri pants this morning and looked like a total Hoochie!! I guess in some parts of th country I would have it going on, but not around here! I just leave my pants COMPLETELY undone and cover it up with my bella band. I love walking around with my pants undone...

Ok update on my new ultrasound tech client:

I was trying to be like all discreet today when I met with her again (because the a** kissing worked) she hugged me when she saw me today! Anyway....she doesnt have her own equipment, so I guess my dreaming is over...sucks! I was seriously going to get Peachy and me and drive up to whereever she lives in BFE suburbia Atlanta for the ultrasound party. UGGH.. onto plan B.. I was looking up ultrasound schools yesterday to see if any students want to practice on me! I'll keep you posted. Robin-maybe you need to see what you can dig up. haha!

Design Diva and Peach-Im with you girls-Im getting scared to death with all the bad news going on with our January buddies. Its so scary. Praying for us all!! Only a few more weeks and maybe we can breathe!!!

PS-Im going to the for-real immigrant mexican place down the way. The baby wants a burrito! ole!

You are too funny with your u/s stalking, havana! hahaha I hear you though...I have been having serious u/s withdrawal. I haven't had an u/s since May 25th! My OB appt isn't until Monday and she better do an u/s if she knows what's good for her! hahaha

Boston, sounds like you have a great body! But i'm sure it stinks to feel like you have to get everything altered. Hopefully maternity clothes will work better for you

We're going to all have some very positive thinking around here and nothing else is going to happen to this group. we've all been through enough and I really want for us all to have uneventful pregnancies for 9 months from here on out, got it?

and my new ob does NOT do u/s at appts. In fact, you have to call and schedule seperate appts and they're not usually anywhere near in time to any ob appts. I think it's a very annoying and incovenient practice. the fun of going to the ob is the u/s! who wants to pee in a cup?

Catherine is right! Positive thoughts, ladies!!

Catherine, that totally stinks that your OB doesn't do u/s at your appts. I wonder if mine does? I just assumed she would. If I have to wait longer than Monday for my next u/s I think I'll go crazy!

And, thanks, but my body's not that great...I've got my share of "dimples" in the thigh/butt area from my life as a couch potato! hahaha But, yes, I'm hoping maternity clothes are more fun to shop for than regular clothes. I all ready have my eye on Destination Maternity for when I can start shopping for preggers clothes!
