My mom came over last night to see the stroller- she loves it as well. She started walking around with it saying “hello my grandbaby” what is it about strollers that have us grown folks acting silly?

i am thinking of getting a playard first, so I can store baby clothes in it for the time being... hehe... we will have to decide if we are going to paint the nursery... at first i though to leave it as is... plain off-white, but after looking at Peach's & Cat's "artwork", we decided that we need to do "something"... don't know what the "something" is going to be, probably painting...

Well this will be a quick post. My MIL is here and I have to keep her entertained with my 2 year old Spanish while DH is at work (hurry and come home!!) She liked all the baby clothes I have bought so far, but seems to fuss at me if he has ANY newborn clothes at all. Says he'll outgrow them. She kept looking at every size. hmmm..

Maggie01-When is your next appt with your OB? Do you have a doppler at home? I always feel better when I use mine. Im sure everything is fine, but I would call because I am a worry wart. They always told me to call if I didnt feel anything for a few days. I know that sometimes you can start to feel the baby between 22-23 weeks depending on your body shape. Maybe your placenta is in front too so he isnt kicking you directly (?) My doctor said that I was feeling the baby early, so maybe its different with everyone. Try not to worry. Let us know if you get a u/s appt.


Robin-Sorry to hear about your back. Are you sleeping ok?

Hi everyone, Well the back to school novelty is over, it's been 3 days. I think the summer spoiled me. Getting our house ready while trying to sell this condo is all proving to be too much. I feel very good but I wake up every night after like 4 hours no matter when I get to bed then I don't fall back asleep. Normally I would get more exercise but the doctor told me to cut back on activity for the next 8 weeks, I guess they would really like you to go to 28 at least with twins. I can't wait to be moved in and not packing.

Lineali- 28 is a big milestone, and we'd love to see your twins make it past that and joy's triplets! You guys definately should be taking it easy and having people around to help you out!

Joy- glad to hear from you and that your appt went well. I got the idea of stripes from the pottery barn catalog but it was a girls room in there and more complicated stripes.

I have to catch up on all the posts from yesterday-- but have a good weekend everyone!

Robin - yes, I started it but it's in VERY rough shape...I think I'll end up changing most of what's on there...and there isn't much on there yet. When I went with DH we were kind of rushed because we had to be somewhere after the store. So, I'll share it with you once it's looking a little better.

Havana - hahaha...I know what huevos are, silly! Don't worry too much about your MIL's opinion on the clothes...yes, babies grow..but they grow out of EVERYTHING...so if you follow her advice to the letter, you may as well not buy any clothes for the kid until he's done growing.

I haven't purchased much in the newborn and 0-3mo size myself because when they're that little I figured PJ's and onesies and things like that would be most comfortable for the baby. But, there are SO many cute outfits out there...I am sure I will be buying more after my u/s next week.

LineaLI - sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Try to find some time each day to relax and take it easy! I am waking up a few hours after I go to sleep and am wide awake too. Keep telling yourself that your body is just preparing for those middle of the night feedings.

Havana, I don't think dd ever fit into the newborn size becuase she was 21 1/2 inches and over 8 pounds before i brought her home... But I do have quite a few things for this little guy in 0-3 and I *tried* to keep myself from buying too much 0-3 but I figure he'll be in it for about a month (if he follows dd) and it's COLD in february so he needs cute warm clothes I'm trying to buy 3-6 that are layers and then i figure 6-12 will be more short sleeve and summer. Of course, it's IMPOSSIBLE to predict. Most of my friends babies wore newborn for a bit and 0-3 until they were at least 3 months old. And each baby is different.

I painted dd's closet before work this am. The closet people come sunday morning, so I need to find MM's shopping list to get those cute hangers for labelling different sizes and go find some storage bins. I think people recommended loews, & michaels to start at?

Cat - you're so right...it's nearly impossible to predict what sizes will work because you don't know if the baby will be big, long, etc. My mom tells me that I was so small all through childhood that I was in size 3T when I started kindgarten and in size 6X when I was in 4th and 5th grade! But my sister was always in larger sizes and plus-sizes growing up. Havana, don't stress about the clothes too much....it's one of those things that you just can't control.

And, yes, Cat, I think people mentioned Lowes and Michaels to start for bins. Sometimes Target has some cute bins too.
