Hi everyone. I haven't had computer access for about a week, so I am very behind w/ all the stories. I have to admit I didn't go back too far, so I'm sure I missed a few things.
Peachy-Sounds like you're doing well! Your placenta moved? Are you cleared for regular activity now? Maybe-Loved your pics. You and DH looked very cute and I really like the pic of him smiling and leaning on your belly. Looks like you guys had a great time! Nathalie-I think you look good in your shower pics. I think it's just hard to not look the way you are used to looking pre-pregnancy. Whenever I see a preggo pic of myself I think I look terrible. I'm sure that's not the case, though. Boston-Can't believe the way your inlaws think. Totally out of touch. It is kind of funny that DH thinks you're picking on them. Sounds like something my husband would say. The vaccination topic is really interesting. It's hard to know what to do. I think I would like them spread out as well, and I am definately not going to get the Hep B vaccine! That's just craziness. I really don't think Josh will come in contact w/ other people's bodily fluids any time soon. We are going to start interviewing pediatricians in 2 weeks, so that will be a good topic to bring up. I had an ultrasound last week and baby J looks good. He's about 3.6 pounds, so it turns out he's not behind at all. He has become very active lately, and it is kind of cool (and wierd) to see my belly move when he's flipping around in there! I think at my practice I will get a weekly ultrasound starting at either 35 or 36 weeks due to being 37. That's what the NP said, but my OB hasn't mentioned it yet. All for now. Hope everyone had a good weekend. |

Hi ladies! I hope everyone had a good weekend. The talk with the in-laws went really well (except for some weirdness related to some issues about my SIL....but I don't care about that). My DH and FIL moved things around this weekend and I can start setting up things for the baby now. Yay! My ILs were very understanding and it sounded like they were planning on making more space for us but they weren't feeling the urgency that I was to get it done now. And when the baby comes they're planning on spending 3 or 4 days per week at their beach house to give us some privacy. It was uncomfortable to have the conversation but it went well and I'm so happy we talked to them. DH was great too....he took the lead and made sure that they were hearing us.
Nat - Pumpkin Cheesecake Flan sounds yummy! I make a Pumpkin cheesecake every Thanksgiving for dessert and it's always a hit. Let us know how it turned out! Maggie01 - I'm happy to hear that Baby J is doing well and measuring target. Great news!!!

Boston- Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Wow, that is great news!! It went so much better than you (and us to tell you the truth) expected! What a relief. Oh the pumpkin cheesecake flan was a hit. I didn't think it would be but one bite made me melt. Dh even asked for seconds, said I didn't give him a big enough piece.
I just caught up on Joy's blog (thanks MM!). She looks great and it sounds like the girl's are doing well too! Went to BRU yesterday, to buy the mattress, glider & ottoman. Glider & ottoman won't be in for 1-3 weeks but I feel like we did something! Okay, do not let me get back on this website until after 4pm today. I am going to do some organizing & cleaning. If you see me on here lurking around, yell at me!! Nat |

Thanks, Nat. It definitely went better than I expected....such a relief. Congrats on buying the glider and ottoman...I know what you mean, I felt like I got something big crossed off my "to do" list when I ordered mine. I can't want it to come in! Have fun organizing and cleaning!
Joy really does look great. I caught up on her blog last week...sounds like she has a wonderful support system of family and friends.

good morning everyone... i had to catch up on 3 or so pages of posts this morning...
as for vaccines, we will do all that are recommended, BUT not in one shot... if it takes 3 shots on 3 different days, so it be... i just have this crazy thing about mixing meds, it's just me, i know... Boston - glad your IL are making your life a little easier... we are back from our trip to TN... i barely made it there and back i was super uncomfortable, had to pee every 5 minutes and the morning sickness? what's up with that? i didn't have much of it in the 1st tri and i don't want it now... i am very crampy this morning, might have to call my OB... i almost called in sick this morning, but i didn't.. i was a good girl, got in the car and drove to work trying not to get sick to my stomach... i just don't know what is going on... as soon as i get in the car i feel sick... new car smell maybe? i'll post about my baby shower a little later... it was fun ![]()

Hi Robin! I'm glad your baby shower was fun!! Sorry to hear that your feeling queasy. I know certain smells still make me feel kind of sick. But, if you're just not feeling right, give your Dr a call...at least then you can have peace of mind. Feel better!!!

Robin - So sorry to hear about your "new" morning sickness/nausea! I totally hear you. I went through an odd phase like that too between 18-22 weeks. Bizarre. I still get a little woozy every now and then too. It will pass! Maybe the travel triggered something? I think you should take a half day and recuperate from your travels. Can't wait to hear about your shower! My first one is coming up in a couple weeks and I can't stop looking at my BRU registry. Someone bought us our swing/papasan and I am so excited! Boston - Phew! So relieved that the talk went well and no harm, no foul for anyone. Plus, now you get to start nesting for your little piglet. So exciting! You have to feel great about that. Btw, I meant to say this before, I am so impressed that one of the reasons you're thinking about continuing to work is because you are the first in your family to go to college and you realize how important that is. Nat - Hope your party went off like gangbusters! I'm sure it did.....pumpkin flan..now I want to fly to see you!!!! Did you save me some? Our weekend...we re-did our stencil and I started filling the bookcase shelves, though we're still pretty meager in the book dept (which is so lame since DH and I are serious readers and even met at a bookstore)! I've been futzing around with moving things around for a week now, it's driving DH crazy. It's tricky because there are certain things like stuffed animals that I have to keep out of das hund's (the dog's) possession. Poor Reid, half his toys have been "pre loved" by Ginger already! Oh well, they are brother and sister, right? OH and we set up our video monitor - it is too cool. Havana, I know you have the same one, it's awesome, it even has nightvision. My nerdy DH was totally enthralled! Once I'm done futzing, I'll post pics! Have a great Monday everyone. I'm sure I'll see you later today.

Thanks, MM! Sounds like you've got the finishing touches on the nursery! Which monitor did you get? We want a video one too but the one we registered for isn't showing up on the BRU website anymore! I'm a huge reader too. My mom and sister included a thing in the invitation that asked everyone to bring a book to the shower to start the baby's library...each person that brings a book gets a raffle ticket for the door prize. I thought it was a cute idea since none of us are really into the shower games and things like that.

Hey Ladies!!!
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaccckkk! I promised Havana and MM that I would pop in this week to say hi to everyone! I really have missed all of you and miss hearing about your updates! I've been so bad about keeping in touch...I usually just sit around and read, watch TV and if I am online I'm either shopping or on chat. So, I feel bad that I've been M.I.A. lately...really, I have no excuse...I'm on my butt ALL day long! I hope everyone is doing well! Seems like so many of you are nearing that 30 week mark! Can you believe it? I remember when we were all on pins and needles at the beginning and now we are nearing the end! Lucky for me, my end will be much sooner than most of you, but hopefully not too soon. We are still aiming for 34 weeks and so far so good. Knock on wood. Hope all is going well! Robin - I've been nauseous and throwing up again too. I don't know what the deal is, but my dr said sometimes it happens in the 3rd trimester. Ugh! I hope you start feeling better, and definitely give the OB a call. Have a great Monday ladies! I'll check in more often. Here's the link to my blog if you want to see how ridiculously huge I am: Larkin Family Blog Talk to all of you soon!
