HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAVANA!!! Sounds like you had a great day!
I got my turkey gifts!!! Thanks MM!!! I LOVE them!!!
Maggie01- you don’t have long at all!

MM- I had a childbirth class, it’s a series of 4 classes (3 hours each) and then we have a baby care class on Dec 19th. Funny you mentioned about the weight and the u/s, they talked about that very thing last night at class and they said the same thing you did about being a little off. As for work, it was just as busy today…I can see that you can relate!

Nat- sorry your class was boring- what a drag! And yes OB visit was just a routine checkup- same ole same ole

Boston– glad you have the dates set for those classes!

LineaLi- *raises hand* yes, I got chocked up reading her blog- I feel like I know them personally...

Robin-too funny about the bag! And you were so good about packing minimal, so much for that! And good for you getting the Christmas cards done! Way to go!

Peachy-thanks for posting the u/s My Dh is an expert now as well he was figured it out right away!

Mirka-yeah!! You’re all ready! That’s great! And I’m glad you saved some money in the process

MM - Report in... what did you eat today?

Mirka - what a great doctor! I'm glad he called around for you and got you into the other hospital. You are all set now! Carseat and all! Looks like you and I are in the running for biggest baby and biggest weight gain Must be the European background that makes those nice chubby babies...

Maybebaby - Way to go on all those classes! You and DH are going to be well prepared.

Havana - I'm glad your birthday was great! DH gets bonus points for creativity this morning. So, did you buy a diaper bag after all? Or, did the massage make you too relaxed to keep up with the shopping? Maybe that was DH's plan all along...

I just finished dinner with my "other" boyfriend at DH's restaurant. Aiden's is eating well today! Peppercorn filet with seared foie gras. Yummm.... I'm sure that'll pack on another few ounces

Hello Ladies....

Havanna- Happy Birthday. I hope that you enjoyed your massage and that you had a wonderful day.

Robin- Yeah, you are ready...good for you.

Peachy- Love the U/S pics.

Mirka- Congrats on getting everything set up for the delivery and saving some money in the process.

Lineali- Wait until you have your baby...you'll cry for nothing and everything all at the same time.

maybebaby- We want to know what the turkey gifts were..

Boston- Take whatever classes you can....you can never get enough information..

Nat- Time for you to get ready as well....

Jayden is doing fine. They will try to take him off of the c-pap in the next day or so. He had his first bowel movement today and lost 5 grams as a result...lol. He now weights just a tad over 3 lbs. 7oz. He also prefers his thumb over the pacifier...I guess I have another little thumb sucker. We have not had any further apnea episodes which is great. My Ob called me tis morning and we spoke for a long time. She told me that she was glad that she was on call the night he decided to come, and she advised me that we were lucky that my water broke because when she went to remove the placenta it fell into pieces. She said that it was very weak. Also, she advised me that when I have to have my hystorectomy in the future to consult with a gyn that specializes in women with cancer as my abdomen is very complicated. She said that all of the tissues and muscles are covered in scar tissue and endometriosis.

Here are two pics from today....he likes his thumb and he loves to hold my finger.....He doesn't like for anyone else to touch him...I think that is too funny. What can I say...he loves his momma.

After all of this I also have to add that I do not plan on going back to work..I was up in the air about it, but after all of this I can't see putting him in day care for many reasons.

Peachy - I am in love with Aiden's chubby cheeks. DH and I secretly want a fatty of our own. And I agree, Aiden's hoofer looks like it's pretty big! Soooo cute. Btw, I'm *very* weepy these days too. Did you cry during the scene in Dan in Real Life when he played the guitar? Here was me "boohooohooo, sniff sniff...boohoohooo." I already love that song to begin with!

Havana - Happy Birthday!!! You made out, sister! Btw, I'm still laughing about DH calling the baby's closet a store. Teeheeehee. Aren't men funny? Freaking out one day about a freaking hamper and the next lavishing us with gifts.

Nat - Sorry your class was a snoozer! I liked my childbirth class, but it was very hands on with only little bits and pieces of video. The most valuable thing that took from it (esp. DH) is that while I'm in labor, I'm in charge and I can have whatever I want!!!

Cat - Thanks for the gift suggestion for my niece!

Maybe - Finally the delinquent turkey gifts arrive! I'm so glad. I hope you like them. I went halfsies with homemade and from your registry. It was hard not knowing the gender of your little one!!!

Bri - Oh you are spoiling us with your Jayden pics! We love them! I am happy to hear that you've made the decision to stay home. It must feel good to have that mental debate over. I hope that he continues to grow and get stronger!

Another long day over here...DH comes home tonight, so I'm looking forward to having a nice warm bath drawn for me and a long foot rub before bed! I'm crossing my fingers for at least six hours of sleep tonight. Just for Peachy , I'll report in about what I ate today. For breakfast I had raisin bran and a banana. For lunch I had half a PB and J and two mandarin oranges. Dinner is TBD. I just have no appetite. Nothing sounds good and I am so wiped, but I promise I will try to eat something hearty. You girls are so sweet worrying about me. I really appreciate it more than you know.

I have my second shower on Saturday!!! We are expecting snow here and I live way up in the hills, so if we get snow, I'm trapped.

MM - I am a total raisan bran and bannanas addict! Every morning for breakfast over here. Try to eat something for dinner for all of us here. You need to keep your strength up for that nice long footrub! Abd, yes, I teared up during the movie too

Bri - It is wonderful to hear how Jayden is doing. It sounds like he knew when exactly to make his appearance. Do you think all the scar tissue is making your recovery a little tougher too?

Havana I see you down there! Are you celebrating the last hour of your birthday?

Maybebaby - We want to hear details of your turkey gift! It finally made it past the border!

Just Peachy- I know that it is because I asked her today. I feel like there is someone inside my stomach and a little lower with a steak knife poking away. The scar tissue has a lot to do with the recovery time from this c-section. I am scared to find out what my first menstrual cycle will be like. One thing that I can say is that I have passed a lot of clots since the delivery, and have woken up on one occasion with everything soaked. Dh had to get up and change sheets at 4 am...sorry if TMI.

Maybebaby - I can't wait to see pictures of the cute knit hats!

Bri - You are really having a rough time Are you still on pain meds? I know some of the ones I have taken post-surgery before are blood thinners too so that might be some of the extra bleeding. Your DH is being quite a good nurse over there. Is he off of work for a while with you? Can you try a heat pad to help with any of the discomfort?

Bri- it's never tmi, and I'm sorry that your recovery sounds like it will take quite a while. Jayden is quite a cutie and keep the pictures coming. It's so cute that he loves to suck his thumb. dd loves looking at the baby pictures each morning. Has your dd gotten to hold him?

Mirka- my stretch marks w/ dd appeared somewhere around 34 weeks and they faded after she was born but came back w/ a vengeance early on-- I think if you've made it this far, you might just be safe to not have any If you plan on nursing, your hospital should have a lactation consultant on hand that can assist you if there's any issues.

Maybebaby- I'd love to see pics of your turkey gift!

MM- well, at least you ate something I also didn't feel like dinner last night but got a little hungry around 8 and had a milkshake. I'm hoping your lack of early morning post means you actually slept!!!!

Lineali- let us know how your appt goes today!!!

Peachy- yes I still am on the meds. Nothing has helped and I have to be careful about taking the pain meds prior to turning in for the night as I sleep through my 4 am pumping. I pump every 2 1/1 - 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours through the night. DH goes back to work next week, so I'll be on my own.

Cat- dd saw him hours after he was born prior to the transport team taking him. She was not allowed to hold him or touch him as she has a cold and she won't be able to see him until he gets home. Only parents and grandparents are allowed in the NICU.

Mirka- I doubt that you'll have any stretch marks if you don't have them by now, and ask for the lactation consultant, that is what I did and they are very helpfull.

Lineali- Good luck wih your appointment today.

Bri- I love looking at pictures of little Jayden. He is so adorable with his thumb in his mouth. Yeaaaaaaaa!! On his first doo-doo!! I don't blame you for wanting to stay home to be with that cutie. Your Dh sounds wonderful for taking care of you. I wish you a speedy recovery. Keep us posted.

Boston- You were a teeny baby! So petite.

Peachy- I salivated at your dinner menu last night. We went to Cracker Barrel because I was craving pancakes!

Havana- Your birthday scavenger sounded like a blast! What a great idea! You hit the jackpot with all of the gifts!! Dh sounds very thoughtful. The class was just a little boring because of video & it was her (the nurse) first time teaching it.

Mirka- LOL!! Dh even likes toothpicks in the cart!!

Cat- When your stretch marks appeared at 34 weeks did it matter if you kept putting lotion or oil on? Will we get them no matter what if our mom's got them? Isn't your shower tea this weekend? I thought someone had it on the 1st of December for you.

MM- Have a wonderful time at your shower!! Although those poor guests aren't going to know what to get you since you bought everything off of your resgistry! Did you get your bath & foot rub last night?

Havana- I saw that video earlier this week, it is hilarious!! My sister sent it to me and she said that Ellen had the video on her show and she is trying to find the couple (if she hasn't already) to have on her show.

Maybebaby- Your gifts from MM sound adorable!
