Boston - I just had to tease you on the duct tape. You know it's a solution for absolutely everything down south. I think there are even books about it.
Lynn - I'm so glad it was such an easy solution! Phew. You finally be able to sleep well tonight. Robin - Have fun at the game! We'll try to spy on you! Has anyone else attempted to assemble the car seat and put it in their cars yet?? Ok. Right now my DH is attempting to put the carseat together without using the manual (even though there are stickers all over the thing literally saying "even if this seems simple read the book!!"). I have already freaked out twice. I just went to check on him and I saw the seatbelt running through the base and I KNOW that our car has the special latch safety system that means you do not use the seat beat. I've asked him several time to read the manual and our car manual. Now I've asked him to just stop if he won't read the manual. Besides at this point I'm taking the car seat to the fire station to be checked anyways! Why are they so frigging stubborn!!! ![]() |

I know you were just teashing, Peachy.
My DH is normally like that...tries to assemble everything without reading the instructions. But, with the baby stuff, he's been really good about sticking to the instructions...if he's getting frustrated, I'll sit with him and decipher the instructions for him and tell him what to do....he gets frustrated with the assembly instructions often for some reason. We did put the car seat base in our car this past weekend...it was easy. But we're brining it to the police station to have it inspected just to be safe.

My DH is horribly stubborn about reading the manual and then just lies when I ask him if he read it. I know it's not just mine though because there is literally a sticker on each side of the Graco telling you to read the book no matter how simple it seems. His loss... I am going to go meet some local HOT firemen to help me out
DH did hear back from the job and he's got another set of interviews with more higher ups next week so I think he's just all distracted about that today. |

Peachy- I too thought, "Noooooooooooooooooo, NOT CROCS!!" But then the pic you posted of the ones you bought isn't too bad. Those are okay. I think most Dh's are that way, don't read the manual or instructions. Mine is the same way. Yes, go see the HOT firemen and let them help you.
Havana- Oops, sorry your dad forgot your birthday. Boston- I have heard of the duct tape wart removal system. Let us know if it works. Hey at least it is just a wart and not a nail fungal infection. That's what scares me!! I got the Graco Snug Ride car seat too and I am also going to use the same frame you got instead of a stroller (I will use that later when the baby is bigger). Mirka- The stroller & carseat look great! I have heard that Chicco is easy to fold & close. Lighter too. Maybebaby- Stay warm up there! Is the snow sticking to the ground? Cat- Have a wonderful time on Sunday at your Tea Shower. Take lots of pics!! MM- Hope you don't get snowed in. Have a great time too at yours! Tell your Dh that I LOVE him for calling you and asking you if you wanted Taco Bell. I am going to tell mine about that! Robin- My Dh is jealous that you go to the games. He was mad last night that the Cowboys & Packers weren't on our regular cable. Hi Vanessa & Bri!! Met Dh at his work for lunch (their cafeteria is like a restaurant). So he has all of his buddies in on a joke (I have been craving & gulping milk like crazy). So one of them starts off by saying "Hey, where did you get the milk?" (dh had some on his tray) and Dh says "in the cooler", his buddy says "I heard we are having a shortage", blah, blah.... It took me awhile to catch on. Har-dee-har-har!! Have a great weekend everyone. We are supposed to get Rain, Sleet and maybe some snow in the evening tomorrow. Staying in all weekend. Nat Last edited by iluvmy2mutts : 11-30-2007 at 03:29 PM. |

Nat- we're supposed to get that weather sunday morning and DH is running a race in it
He wanted to know if i wanted to come cheer him on-- um, no thanks! Well at least your DH was only sharing your love for milk and not something like the fact you are leaking milk... Peach- are they comfy? Really that's all that matters! When do you get results on your jug? Lineali- SO glad your appt went well, the boys sound like they're a good size and too funny that you can actually drink too much water! Havana-- I missed you posting that you bought a bag, but now, like everyone else, i need to know -- WHICH one? Mirka- many women are able to nurse w/out problems but some have some issues getting started. A lactation consultant can just help you make sure the baby is latching on correctly so that he/she gets plenty of milk w/out causing you pain! Robin- have fun at the game!! Maybebaby- where's the picture of the loot? MM- okay, what type of yarn can i put in the dryer and what is best to air dry? Vanessa- where'd ya go??? You know you have to check in at least every other day...

Maybe you should go to this firestation, that should make DH shutup about reading the instructions: ![]() ![]() ![]() Boston-haha-we grossed out everyone talking about your wart. I seriously doubt that your immune system is down. I bet someone with stanky feet came in before you and they didnt clean up. YUCK! OH and you know what they say in the south: "IF Ducktape dont fix it, its BROKE!" Robin-Have fun at the game!! Can I still say Go Blue?? The panthers are blue right?? ![]() MM-I hope you get some sleep tonight! I want a haircut too! I want something super stylish these days. That sounds like some nasty weather coming your way! I would be a vegetable and watch Lifetime all weekend if we got weather like that in the ATL. Girls dont worry--I will have my camera ready and in full force for the arrival of the ORBIT! Dh has already tracked it for Mondays arrival. Oh boy--Im in for it now Oh and Boston yes its official. We're naming the baby Matthew Pendleton (Pendleton is my dad and grandfathers middle name) and we're "nicknaming" him Matteos. ![]()

Helloooo Ladies,
Peach - I give those Crocs (and ONLY those and ONLY because it's YOU!) my formal blessing. May you wear them in good health and may the fit over your tootsies until Aiden arrives! After that, I'm flying to Atlanta and we're going shoe shopping!!! I'm sorry you have such a stubborn DH! I'm the stubborn one in this family so you and my DH could commiserate. I say hooray for the hot firemen (thanks Havana for the great visuals)! Cat - You want to ask the people at your yarn shop for a "superwash" yarn which is a treated wool that won't felt/boil in the dryer. I'm knitting a blanket for Reid in a cascade superwash and from what I've heard, it gets super soft after you soak in Eucalan and then dry in the dryer. You could also knit in 100% cotton which can be washed in cold and dried at a low temp. Thank you for the art supplies gift ideas! Keep 'em coming! Havana - It was fun to get my haircut! I took off 1.5 inches, so now it just brushes my shoulders. She razor cut my whole mane today so it's super fun. Have you thought about cutting off some length, getting some long layers and maybe even adding a few long bangs? I just got some long bangs last spring and I love them, they just sweep my forehead. Btw, I am SURE you couldn't look like a mess if you tried. Adorable people like you are exempt. I love the name you've chosen for the little man. Nat - I just got the milk joke. I'm with you...hardeeharhar. Boston - Thank you for telling me about the duct tape treatment! I just got back from my pedi and I thought of you the whole time! I'm so sorry you are having this ailment in addition to all the other things you're dealing with. Hopefully your construction is back on track and schedule? I'm watching the news right now and seeing that they are predicting snow starting at 7:00 a.m. My shower is at 10:30 and not only do I live in the hills, but my sister (who is co-hosting at her house with my bestfriend) lives on top of a huge hill too about 30 minutes from my house. Jeepers!

Havana - I'm loving the hot firemen! Maybe I should bring a camera along to the fire station to take some pics for DH
At least make it a fun experience..MM - I'm happy I have the official thumbs up and you are definitely welcome in Atlanta for shoe shopping anytime! And dinner here at Craft is looking promising too. Fingers still crossed I hope you make it up and down the hill tomorrow for the shower!DH and I just finished watching Sicko the Michael Moore documentary about insurance. I know we've got all different viewpoints over here but it was very interesting. For anyone with insurance dramas, you've got to watch this! Lets just say we could get better treatment in Cuba than here in the U.S. and it would be free!

Hooray for Craft!!! Your awesome DH is totally going to get this gig!
You will have to keep me posted. I told DH about it and he's ALREADY excited. He's in Atlanta from time to time for business! How did the carseat installation turn out? And have you actually worn your Crocs yet? You'll have to report in about how they feel!!! Have a great weekend everyone! No sign of snow yet (it's 7:30 a.m.) so I think we're in the clear!

Havana- Yummy!!! I have never seen firemen like those! Dang! I think I would start a small fire in my kitchen just to get them to come over. Also, I love the name you picked out for your little boy & the nickname. Great choice!
Cat- Was he kidding about you being there at the race for him??!! I hope the bad weather misses you. Right now it is sleeting slightly. Yeah, you are right. At least Dh wasn't talking about me leaking milk. MM- Hope you make it to your shower today! Peachy- I have heard about that documentary on the insurance. I will have to rent it at some point. Staying in all weekend! Nat |
