Lynn - The twins look wonderful!! They look huge for being a little shy of 4 lbs. each. How is the family holding up?

MM - I had just assumed the PBK boppy covers were safe since the recall talked about velvet but not chamois Oh no. Mine are all washed too. Guess I'm calling the hotline too...

Cat - Something about that shirt worked miracles on me too! Makes my bust look nice and perky and no tugging around the butt area. Miracle shirt and all for $16.99!! I'm glad you found it at your target too. Sounds like the room might get finished up today...

Robin - I like the brown too! You're too cute. I had dinner with my gay boyfriend last week and he was looking much more stylish than I am these days!

Boston - I really value quiet time too so I can understand the frustration. I have the same feelings when my Mom is around. Amazing how many times they can discuss the same thing over and over. I'm glad at least the planters wart is getting better so maybe you can escape for a silent pedicure!

Havana - No orbit sightings??

I just got an email from my 3D u/s place that they are training a new technician and are offering free u/s to existing clients! But... it's on Wed. evening which is dh's birthday. Oh well.

So, two updates from me... Mom and I spent several hours attempting the shoe shopping to no avail. She was funny though. She said she had no idea what she was dealing with before today! She kept saying over and over that this is not normal. We even tried a bunch of slippers on that have soles and they won't go on my feet. Craziness. Even size 11 flip flops (didn't know they made them!) won't go on. Basically, the top of my left foot is so swollen up that it won't go into any shoe that has any sort of top, strap, or any of the above. There is a store near me that sells Tevas which at least have the adjustable top band but they are closed on Mondays. Oh well. My hands have blown up too and I can barely get the fake size 8 ring off. This is just bizarre.

Update on the jug results. My doctor is in a different office today and my regular nurse isn't there either. So, the nurse on call did find my results from this week but didn't have last weeks to compare too. She said the protein in my urine is higher than the normal range but not a crazy number. She said it will really be a matter of comparing week over week. So, I won't get another update till I see the perinatologist on Wed.

All this talk of cupcakes is going to have me doing a grocery store run soon...

Peach- it is most definately a miracle shirt. And I would have missed it if not for your link. there were only 2 left in the back of a rack. ANd i'm sorry you're that swollen and you're not getting real interpretations of your results! wed, huh? well, take your packed bag w/ you to the appt, jic... of course, w/ a c-section, you won't need anything for the labor, just the outfits for afterwards

Lynn - the boys are so cute. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love the pictures of their little feet. It must have been so wonderful to hold them in your arms!!

Peachy - I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has a mom that repeats herself over and over and over again. Sorry shoe shopping wasn't a success. I guess you could just tie some tree bark to bottoms of your feet...(just teasing). Fingers crossed for your jug o'pee results on Wednesday!

I think the bag is going to get packed tonight just in case. I figure I can leave it and Aiden's bag in the car and worst case I'll need someone to run home to get some of my makeup/cosmetic stuff that I don't have duplicates of for the next day. I'm going to ask the doctor if he'll write me a prescription for a blood pressure cuff so I can monitor at home too. Otherwise, I'll just suck up the $50 and buy one to be safe.

Hehe... Boston my Mom literally did not pause for a moment of silence the entire shoe shopping time. This includes during lunch! Well, actually, she did pause once when we tried on the first pair of slippers and she realized even those wouldn't go on! She just started shaking her head and saying as a mother this is very painful to see your daughter like this. Oh, and she started talking about how she's going to move in for the first two weeks and help around the house. My expression must have said it all b/c she immediately corrected herself and said she would just be visiting a lot to make sure I get some rest.

I had Mom take a look at the carseat installed by DH in my car since my sil has the same one and my mom babysits her a lot. Mom took one look at it and said it definitely is not installed right! Hot firemen here I come tomorrow... they'll have to have sympathy on me. I'm sure I could whip up some tears easy!

peach- can't hurt to have the bag in the car. And perhaps visiting the fireman today or tomorrow is a good idea? And you will LOVE having your mom visit so you can sleep. As long as she's not there 24-7

Robin- i told dh i wanted/needed a new brown purse-- he told me that he'd rather shop for that list of essentials that we made

Cat- fortunately the transit problem was resolved that day I’m glad you found stuff at Target- it’s so fun to shop there, such a novelty to me since we don’t have one here! Thanks so much for posting Lynn’s pictures! They are adorable!

Boston- April isn’t that far off! I remember when January seemed like it was forever and now I can barely catch my breath!

Peachy- Good idea to get the bag ready! I need to get my butt in gear as well!
Too bad you can’t take advantage of the free 3D u/s
I just got an email from my 3D u/s place that they are training a new technician and
It figures, that when you are being treated you can’t find anything! Murphy’s law! I can’t believe your feet are so swollen- you poor girl its sure taking long to get some straight answers

Peachy - good luck tomorrow... we found out it the hard way that our firestation only does inspection/installation on Thursdays, so you may want to check with them first. Some police stations do it too, again, only on Thursdays

brown bag it is... DP is going to have a heart attack when she sees the pricetag...

Hi June! Thanks for the good luck wishes!

Robin - Thanks for the advice. I have a feeling our station probably only does certain days too but I can't find a phone number for them and you can't exactly call 911 for car seat installation. So, the station is only about 2 miles from my house and I'll just head over there and hopefully they can tell me what the story is with installation days.

Right now I'm busy harrassing my Dad about making sure he has a chanukah gift for my mom tomorrow night. We go through this with every holiday. He has a card as of today (a step of improvement) but is trying to convince me that the new washing machine and refrigerator are her gifts. Good try Dad.... What are we all going to do without daughters to think of these things??
