Oh Mirka- i'm so sorry! I hope it's not too expensive to get fixed. Try keeping marshmellow peeps around- they should not chip your tooth!

Robin, glad to hear all went well. Now, the question is-- can you walk around the mall w/out buying anything???? hmm, or do you still need nursing bras and such?

Peach- what time is your appt? Well, Dh likes his new gift, as long as he doesn't drop it, let him figure it out In our house, DH doesn't do anything that involves handling "my tools". Even dd knows that they are mommy's tools and I must admit that I don't always read the instructions either. BUT w/ a carseat and an expensive tv, it definately sounds like the way to go.

Nat- email me pics anytime to post So do you actually have the envelope then? You can email that to me as well

Havana- i'm doing well this morning- just had a bowl of cereal as a snack. (although I may have had a mt dew before that but that was because the dog got sick all over the floor and I didn't have the energy to clean it up)

I must say my online shopping has gone down a LOT since dh lost his credit card. It's amazing how much less you spend when you no longer have your credit card number memorized

Good Morning!

Boston- I LOVE those little trumpette socks!! Why dont they make adorable socks for boys?? All of the boys are all flashy. How are you doing up there in the snow?

Peach-YEAH on the camera!! Im so glad you got it. Now little Aiden is going to be entering lots of handsome baby contests, isnt he?? Maybe if you go before me you can come by and see me at the hospital with Aiden and you can take a picture of baby Matteos too.

Nat-(mi pavocito mamamito)-Sounds like you got a good u/s tech! One of my techs told me one time that she accidentally told her patient and they didnt want to know and everyone was screaming at her. I mean can you imagine?? I take it you ended up taking the envelope home, right? Did you even tell DH about the envelope? Hes going to be searching all over the house for it!! Hide it good!!

Maybe-(our supermodel) Are you freezing your buns off up there? How ya doing?

Robin-haha-Dont push Peach in line in front of you!! (as long as no one puts me in front--Im starting to get nervous!) How about that cervical exam?? yikes! They did that to me at the hospital and I thought I re-lost my virginity! How is a big head supposed to come out of my virginal birth canal???

Mirka-Sorry to hear about your tooth!! Good luck at the dentist!!

MM-Are you ok?? Do you have electricity?? My Dh totally knows all of you and called me from work yesterday all concerned. I think he has a mental map in his head of where you all are and he is always giving me weather updates.

Im going to run out to a materninty store. Tonight is my "no games no presents shower", so I need something to wear....I even hate buying new clothes this late in the game, ya know? Wish me luck!

Oh and btw-there is NOTHING from the BRU registry that has been purchased. I think Im getting all the frilly expensive clothing and stuff this go round.

Interesting things you find out when you have a son...

Hey I got this email, and I thought I would share since there are so many of us having boys. This is cute:

1. A king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. ft. house 4 inches deep.
2. If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.
3. A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant.
4. If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 42 pound Boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 20x20 ft. room.
5. You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.
6. The glass in windows (even double-pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.
7. When you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh oh", it's already too late.
8. Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it.
9. A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies.
10. Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4-year old boy.
11. Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.
12. Super glue is forever.
13. No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.
14. Pool filters do not like Jell-O.
15. VCR's do not eject "PB & J" sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.
16. Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.
17. Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when driving.
18. You probably DO NOT want to know what that odor is.
19. Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.
20. The fire department in Austin, TX has a 5-minute response time.
21. The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.
22. It will, however, make cats dizzy.
23. Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.
24. 80% of Women will pass this on to almost all of their friends, with or without kids.
25. 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid.

Havana - well, they're just socks so, don't be too bummed if you don't find cute ones for Matteos. The snow isn't anything big here. We only got maybe 3 or 4 inches of icy snow on Sunday night/Monday morning. It's business as usual. I'll tell you what, I wish I was sitting in a tub full of snow right now. It is SO uncomfortable in my office...75 degrees and a relative humidity of only 15% (comfortable breathing relative humidity is between 30% and 60% for indoor spaces). I am in SUCH a bad mood because of it...I'm on the verge of tears. I'm running hot anyway because of the pregnancy but, to come in here and sweat my a$$ off all day and leave here wanting to take a shower is just unacceptable. I think the HVAC guys that work for the big property management company have NO CLUE about what they're doing. You don't set thermostats in a high rise office building at 73 - 76 degrees...computers and all the people generate a ton of heat...so it gets even hotter. I want to track down the maintenance people and beat the crap out of them. I can't even concentrate on my work because I am so uncomfortable.

OK, phew...now that that is out of my system...have fun shopping today, Havana. I hear you about not wanting to buy clothes so late in the game here but, it might be fun to buy something nice and new. I can't wait to hear about all the frilly things you'll get at the cocktail shower!

Hi everyone! We're having a birthday morning over here. DH had his favorite chocolate donut and the phone has been ringing all morning from all my relatives calling to sing. Poor DH! His family never seems to remember birthdays and my family goes overboard

Nat - Glad the u/s went well yesterday. He's really growing away over there! So, did you get a picture in an envelope? I hope you have a safe deposit box

Mirka - Chipped tooth?? Ouch. Do we need to send you some new chocolate over there?

Havana - Have so much fun tonight!! I can't wait to hear the details. Hmmm... I guess boys can get frilly gifts too?

Boston - I really feel for you!! I can't do heat at all right now. Maybe that is what's making your feet swell. When I tried to go to the mall on Monday with the heat, I blew up. No joke. Keep drinking lots of water.

Robin - Well, 1cm is something right? What do they want for you to be walking around with the baby just hanging out? Have fun window shopping. Now, is DP as well controlled in the mall?

OK. Got to get my act together over here and head back to the firestation. I don't have my u/s till late afternoon so I'll try to update everyone before the birthday dinner. I have to practice my calming mantra since dinner also involves going to my SILs house first for my neice to "participate" in Chanukah. Deep breaths

Ok i couldnt find squat at the maternity store. I feel like I look like a whale in everything! Put a blow hole in the top of my head and just throw me in the ocean. I look like Im growing 2 torpedos. One out my belly and one that has become my butt. OMG, how in the world am I ever going to look NORMAL again?? To make matters worse, the clerk was pregnant and looked all of 5 months. I said to her "just wait until you get to the 3rd trimester" and she says "Oh Im due in 6 weeks on Jan 16th!" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Can I just say that I really hate the pregnant women who have gained all of 10 pounds and they are 8 months pregnant??? Can I just say that please?? I mean we practically had the same due date and she is all ready for the maternity runway and I am short and FAT now. OMG, ok I am trying not to have another meltdown. uggh!!!

thanks for letting me vent. I wish I could have a drink. Maybe I'll sneak in some wine at my cocktail baby shower.

Hi there,

Thanks for asking Boston - I'm not horribly impacted because we live way up in the hills, but the home that's under construction around the corner from me hit a major snag when a 20 foot sink hole opened up and had our street blocked from 3 p.m. yesterday til - 6 a.m. this morning. Plus I still have no internet at home and am so busy at work I only have to time skim all your great posts. Grr. Still, it could be a lot worse, so I'm trying not to complain. It's pretty crazy though. I-5 headed to Seattle has been closed since Sunday and will remain closed through Friday.

Mirka - SO sorry about your tooth!

Okay I have to run to a meeting...miss you all!

MM
