Cat - don't jinx me! hahaha Julia is staying put...I've all ready told her to! hahaha Yeah, I think they build in some cushion time to the flight schedule because they're two busy airports. I know when I'd fly home from Philly when I was in college it would take an hour and a half...so, the same time as flying to Boston from Baltimore.

Hello to all of you! Crib is standing, mattress is in, sheets are on, rest I will do tomorrow when I will get back from ENT doctor, I go with that tumor early morning........ Vanessa- I love your pics!! You & dd look fantastic! She looks so excited about the baby coming. And I adore the pic of the doggie on the chair, of course! I also now want to switch my glider to yours, I got the green one. I couldn't decide between yours & mine. The Libra in me, can never make a decision. That is great that you are getting so much done at home. Your nursery is gorgeous! Thanks, I now want to re-do mine. I am going to drive myself nuts or nuttier than I already am.
Robin- I am so glad that the shower for Dp went so well and that you got some great gifts! How wonderful of the ex-coworkers to come for it and how difficult it must have been for her at the same time because of her previous m/c. Wow. Who is your buddy in case you go into labor? Maybebaby- Hope the snow is melting up there! Peachy- Goodluck on your ob appointment. I didn't even tell Dh that I wrote the letter to the neighbors & the Humane Society. He would freak. He already thinks I go overboard with any animal. Some things he just doesn't need to know....shhhhhhhhhhhh! Boston- Yes, I think it would be fine. I think that makes your Dh feel so much better knowing that you are okay with the trip. Mirka- You got a lot done today too! Where do you get your energy? 9 days! OMG!! Havana- It is now 1 breath and 30 compressions. I know they taught us that in training last year as well. Seems like a lot to me too. Okay, I won't complain about any of my symptoms when I read your list! Yikes!! Joy updated her blog today!! The girl's are getting so big. She has great pictures on there too. Nat

Oops! Sorry Cat, the blog was updated LAST Tuesday, not today. I just went back and looked. I cannot believe that it is already mid-December! Yep, that would be me losing track of the days. Duhhhhhhhhhhhh...Are you sure I won't forget to feed the baby??!!

Boston - I would be fine with my dh traveling too. There is always the acela if worst case the airports are backed up. I know the acela from Philly to NYC is only 1 hr 10 mins b/c I used to do it for business all the time. So, one way or another, dh will get back in time. Just tell him do not pass go at the first snowflake!
Cat - I'm glad dd has finally rounded the corner on her yucky cold. Still no pee jug results. I guess the perinatologist will just tell me in person at tomorrow's u/s. Nat - Your doggie secret is safe with us!! Vanessa - The nursery looks gorgeous! I love all the colors. Everything is so well coordinated. And, of course, my favorite part too is your four legged accessory. Dd looks so grownup! Robin - Sounds like dp's shower was lots of fun and a big success. I just think that was so sweet of everyone at her work. Way to go with the bru card too! Ok. Now that you've had serious contractions you know you have to post in the mornings before we hunt you down! Mirka - Gregor will be here so soon. You should have taken a picture on the motorized cart! Too funny. I hope you bought some diapers too! Maybebaby - Is that snow melting at all yet? I had a somewhat exiciting ob appt. today. My doc said IF she was placing bets then she gives me 7-10 days! So, she said she is definitely thinking December and is now thinking a c-section but she can't make me any guarantees. My feet and the swelling was really acting up today. I was in a tank top and a light cardigan but was so hot and that always does the trick. I was her last appt. of the day and she was running an hour behind. By the time I saw her, it was after 5pm and my feet were swollen and almost completely purple. She wasn't happy with them (finally!). Also, I've barely gained any weight in the past two months. Well, in the past week I gained 6 lbs. which is apparently the big pre-eclampsia marker. She really didn't want me to stress the weight and kept saying it is out of my control and is just water retention. She really thinks I'll either fail this week's or next week's pee jug or have a sudden spike in my blood pressure over the next week. She wants me staying home as much as possible and just resting a lot. She didn't want me to get too excited but she thinks we are close and wanted to make sure all my bags were packed! ![]()

WOW Peachy!!! That is such exciting news!
Hooray for you! I am so excited for Aiden to arrive. So you're doing ANOTHER pee jug? Can you believe Aiden could be here in one short week?! Eeeee!!! I can't wait!!! I had my last u/s yesterday and Reid is giving Aiden a run for his chubby money. Reid weighs approximately 6lbs 5oz as of yesterday! I also had my lovely swab test for the Strep B (both holes) and my first exam. My cervix is still closed, but thinning and getting soft. Too exciting! Dr. thinks Reid will be here the first week in Jan. I have my second doula meeting tonight. I love her - she is so cool and funny, not too granola or airy fairy which would make me crazy. I finally started packing my bag..ironed my hospital gowns, packed my slippers, it's getting so close. We also got our carseats installed this weekend. It's surreal to be driving around with an empty carseat! I haven't had a chance to catch up on the posts, but hope all of you are doing well. MM

Peachy- OMG!! 7-10 days!! Holy cow. I am freaking out!! How is Dh?? Thank goodness that the she got to see how bad the swelling can actually get. Hoping that you get that c-section!
MM- Congrats on finding a doula you like! Are you done with work yet or is it this week? That is my next step, installing the car seat. Ironing your hospital gown??!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaat??! Hope you are sleeping. Cat- I now think the cause of my forgetfulness & plain brain inactivity is due to my lack of sleep. Went to bed at 10pm. Got up at 1:30am. zzzzzzzzzzzzz....going to try and go back to bed. Nat |

Peachy - wow! 7 - 10 days?! So exciting!!!! I'm glad your Dr was able to see your feet in all their swollen glory and finally realized how bad they can get!
MM - congrats on packing your bag. Ironing your gowns though??! You know they're going to get all wrinkled, sweaty and probably bloody, right? You're too funny. I'm so glad you like your doula! My ILs were at their beach house last night so DH and I were able to have some quiet time to ourselves. It was glorious! hahaha And tomorrow night DH has a function after work so, he got a hotel room so he doesn't have to drive home...I'm going to stay at the hotel too. It sounds so lame but, I am SO excited to lounge around in a room by myself, order room service and watch TV in peace and quiet! hahaha I never thought that would be a big night out in the city for me! hahahaha Have a good day ladies!!

peachy... I'm so glad that there is light at the end of the tunnel now. It's nice to be the last appointment of the day sometimes. They have no one to rush off to see and you get their attention I think. 7 days is soon!!!!!
boston... a hotel room sounds heavenly! We have a favorite hotel here in town and I would love to spend a night there before baby comes. Somehow babymoon never came together for us. It's the little things huh??? ENJOY! cat... you are a brave soul out to the mall at 7:00. Maybe you will miss the crowds though. I was in one store yesterday and that was more than enough for me. MM... glad that you found a good doula. At least your gowns will be crisp to start with huh? Nat... we are going to try to install the carseat this week too. Also dh wants to sign up for a Infant CPR class. I am not sleeping well either. I have no clue how much I slept last night but it feels like an hour or so. Nothing big happening here today. Sweeping floors and cooking dinner. We're having a couple over that are expecting at the same time as us. Should be fun I hope. DD has her holiday party at school today so I need to drop off sodas for that. Robin... I see you down there... how are you feeling this morning? |

I know, I know. I'm just OCD enough to need to do it though. It's therapeutic or something. Hooray for a night of leisure for you tonight Boston! I know what you mean about looking SO forward to a night of lounging around. Sometimes DH and I plan a whole night of that and we live in our own house! Nat - The offer of piggy cloths still stands! So good that you went to the CPR class already...DH and I still need to do that. This is my last week of work and I hired two new people! I am officially fully staffed (except my boss refuses to replace me because she is still hoping I will change my mind). Btw, my dr. thinks Reid will also be between 8-9lbs. Double gulp. Cat - How is DD? I braved Toys R Us last Friday. Holy crap. I was totally overwhelmed and I am terrible at buying toys!!! Clothes and accessories, no problem, but toys and I am at a loss. I did get my neice an easel like you suggested. My other neice is getting the PBK kitchen and her parents suggested the matching mixer or toaster but they cost $30-$40 each! I just couldn't bear to spend $30 on a play toaster when I could get a REAL toaster for less! Peach - Looking forward to hearing your pee jug results and any other news! Havana - Hi. Vanessa - Stella's room is beautiful. Well done! Hope you're enjoying your early retirement! I'm looking forward to mine too. Teehee. Okay, off to make cookie dough for my annual cookie party tonight. It's the last time I'll be entertaining until after the baby comes! So weird. Have a great day everyone!
