Vanessa-Girl-you are afraid of needles??? Umm helloo-didnt we all have about a billion shots to get in this mess in the first place? The only thing I would cringe at again is having my eggs removed. ICK! I would pass on that anyday of the week. I was borderline OHSS so maybe I hated it more than others...Im planning on the epidural, but I will TRY to hold out for a bit, although Im def. not afraid of asking for it.

Mirka-Gregor is absolutely adorable!! He looks like he is smiling in the picture where you are holding his arms!

MM-Thanks for the sling links! I only have the bjorn and it looks like its for big kids and I do like that 2nd link you sent that would replace it. They look comfy!
Oh and good job with all the OB appts on Monday! We should have LOTS of news around here soon! I keep checking (like everyone else) to see if anyone has gone to the hospital and nothing...

Peach-too funny about your family asking about me. I was calling your mom my "surrogate" Atlanta mom at the briss the other day. She was telling everyone about us. She is so sweet. I saw that dh went into work the other day. Is he back now? Whats going on with it? OH and guess what?? I found my ring this morning! It was in my robe pocket. Thanks for looking for it!

Robin-We are all on pins and needles over here. Can you go eat some really spicy food today?? Come to think about it, maybe you need to walk to the restaurant. haha I found a website with some old wives tales about starting labor. Read up!!
Old Wives Tales at StorkNet's Pregnancy Cubby

Boston-I know you never check from the IL's but your due date is like HERE!! OMG!! Ok so what's going on with you??? Feeling anything yet??

Maybe-Ive been having those same feelings too. Lots of pressure and lots of peeing. I feel like my water is going to break anytime! YIKES!!

Mi Pavocito Nat-ok full report-how ya feelin??

Cat-Anymore contractions or did they go away? I think I had 2 random ones yesterday, not much....

Big problem my way--DH has the flu. We are treating him with zicam, vitamin c, nyquil, oj, etc... I am serously lysoling everything he touches. Does anyone have any miracle cures for the flu? Because of the timing of maybe having our baby this week, Im tempted to take him to the doctor to see if we can knock it out with an antibiotic or something. Does anyone have any advice???

If your hubby has the flu you can't knock it out with antibiotics. I would call his doctor and see if there is anything you can do but antibiotics won't work. I hope he does get better before you deliver.
Edit: Have him drink plenty of fluids and if he has a fever take some tylenol to bring it down. If he can keep himself hydrated he will feel alot better. If he can't keep anything down ask his doctor for some fenergen(sp) so he isn't throwing up all the time.

Maybebaby- glad you had a good time out! I have book club on tuesday and am wondering if i'll make that.

Robin, well if you have Alex TODAY and take him home on tuesday, just think how nice it'll be to be able to sit outside w/ him!

Vanessa- I do NOT want an epidural- however i reserve the right to change my mind and have one- and STOP watching tv! Those shows are not good to be watching right now

Mirka- so cute! so cute! and yes, stress can affect your milk, just put gregor to your breast often and that will help and drink PLENTY of water-- you need to by hydrated to make him milk
And the dog and baby stories are adorable I'm glad your dogs are so friendly w/ Gregor as well

Peachy- the washcloth in the diaper bag sounds like a good idea. hmm, i still have to take the diaper bag out of the car and actually pack diapers in it... right now it has a change of clothes for dd and disposable bibs and table toppers.. nothing for a newborn! How often has your mom been stopping by?

MM- glad you enjoyed dinner. I'm hoping we'll do something like that for lunch but I forgot the in-laws are coming to dinner (mil's bday) so I'm actually making dinner! Scary, right? And I'm actually making something she likes and that i hate... Do i get points for that?

Havana- make DH sleep in the guest room -- do NOT share a bed w/ him. Change his pillow case each night and when he's starting to feel better- make him change all bedding including washing the quilt/comforter! DH, dd and I all still have this and i'm starting to feel worse again... I did actually wake up this morning w/ pelvic pressure while lying down which was new... I've had a few contractions this am but they're still not regular nor that painful.

Peachy, let me know how your pumping will go today. It will take 15-20 to pump it (if you do both at same time), 10 minutes to feed baby, so I am sure you will like it. You will have than more time for paying more bills......

Maybebaby, yes, G sometimes make these smiley faces, but most of time he has his forehead wrinkled up like old man with lots of problems on his mind.....

Jencat, yes, get a Mastiff, cats will get use to him. Our other two dogs are young and crazy and not so relaxed like these three.

Evita, thank you. When is your due date? March or April???

MM, I am healing really well, did bleed just for 4-5 days and than just a tinny spotting like once a day, some days not at all. From the moment I took staples out and glued tape on scar - I feel better than ever, I think some of staples were buging me (pinching me) while trying to get up from bed. Now is all good. I am really so happy I did choose c-section. I would do it again and again.

Havana, if it is flu, get for your DH antibiotics, sooner he will start - better for him and you and baby. Longer you will wait - worse can it be and longer it will take to get better.

Hi Cat, try to rest as much as possible!! Dont let him come yet!!

Havana- A watched pot never boils! Matteos will come when you least expect it. Sorry to hear that Dh has the flu. You sound like a mafia princess in your sweatpants too! Thanks, I feel better now. Sounds like your water might break soon! Thanks for the old wives link. I even saw on there the one that Cat had posted earlier about mac & cheese with A1 sauce. I like the b'ding theory better though. Need to find where Dh is in the house right now!

Cat- Are you going to get your car seat checked? I am sure you know how to do it since you had dd but I was wondering what you think of those places that do the check for free. I have an appointment on the 15th for them to check mine. Enjoy your dinner this evening, and YES you get HUGE bonus points for making something that she loves and you don't! Hope you guys kick that bug that you keep passing around soon.

MM- Once again, you are the queen of the shopping information highway! Thanks for the info on the slings. Mmmm.....P.F. Changs! Lucky girl! The lettuce wraps are to die for. I remember your very cool & hip pink birthday dress! Loved it! Yes, I don't want them to call him Harry so that is why Harrison is the last choice. Looks like it will be Sean if it is a boy. Sounds like your Dh is jealous of the time you spend with the girl's! hahaha...I think mine is too, he calls us a cult. But he thinks it is sweet when I come back to him with all of the stories about who gave birth, how, and who is next. Feels like he knows you all.

Vanessa- Yes, I am open to an epidural just want to see how far I can go without it. Still waiting for your phone call to see if you are going to go into labor before me!!

Mirka- The pictures are just adorable!! He seems so wide awake & alert. You & Dh look incredibly happy. Love the doggie stories. Keep them coming.

Peachy- I bought those wipes too! Glad to hear that they work really well and I will definitely take your advice and pack some in the diaper bag. I bought the Lavender ones & also the regular ones.

Hey Bri & Maggie! How are you girl's doing??

Nat

Mirka - I am laughing so hard! Did I read that right... did you take your staples out yourself?? Tough cookie! Sounds exactly like something my Mirka would do!

MM - I've been using the Dr. Brown's lace nursing pads that you wash. I haven't tried the disposable ones yet. I don't know why just the washable ones seem so soft and haven't aggravated anything yet. I'm sure I'll switch when I get tired of laundry. I haven't had to use the lanolin either so they stay pretty prestine and I'm not really leaking. Don't let dh restrict you from the internet! We just got you back!

Maybebaby - My dh was very depressed with the Steelers game. I had the best intentions to have Aiden all decked out in his Steelers gear to surprise dh when he got home from work and then I forgot. But, Aiden was sleeping with his hands over his head and dh made me get up to see it since he said Aiden was making the touchdown signal

Havana - Get your dh some meds quick. Doctors orders. Call me tommorow if you have any problems and we'll hook you up!

Cat - You are way too kind to be cooking MIL's favorite meal for dinner tonight in your last month of pregnancy. Major bonus points. My mom has been stopping by once a day even though I beg her not to sometimes. My grandparents are still in town which is her ILs so she wants to escape her house!

Aiden and I just went for our first neighborhood stroll. It's finally in the 60s today and gorgeous and sunny. I'll have to post a picture of him next to his big stork in the yard. DH is working a 14 hour shift today so my family is going to come over for pizza tonight. My grandparents leave on Tuesday morning so we'll get to spend a little more time together.

Looks like a busy day around here tomorrow with all the OB appts!!

Yes, Peachy, I did take staples out. They wanted me to come into office few days later, I did ask for little tool, (I have one at home what I did used on dogs, so I know how to do that) ....so they did give to me. DH wanted to try too to take some out, so we did that 1/2 & 1/2. No any pain, just almost didnt feel anything.

Here is one lick what we did catch yesterday. And what a surprise today morning!!! - We have a TWINS!!!!!!

Gosh Mirka... Gregor is just sooooo cute! How exciting with the twin calves. I'm sure that was unexpected. I can't believe you removed your own staples. Tough cookie.

Peachy... I've been meaning to pick up some of the Lilypadz nursing pads: LilyPadz nursing pads stop breast milk leaks! Reusable and invisible under clothing. Reusable. I'm not sure how they will work out but I liked the idea of being able to use them to sleep without a bra. Also they don't seem so bulky.

Cat... I hope that you will all be well soon. It seems like the sickness just keeps rotating. Frustrating!

MM... we got more mall shopping done than mall walking. I was pretty sure that was what would happen though. Not a big deal. We love Chang's here too. My favorite are the steamed shrimp dumplings. Yum-O.

Havana... I'm not a toughie like all of you. We were just on the verge of starting the IVF process when I became pregnant on a cycle of clomid. SOooo... the needles are still a hurdle for me. I once dislocated my shoulder but didn't cry until they put in the IV. Dh thought that was highly hilarious. Anyway, the epidural is still up the air for me. I'm leaning toward no but the contractions may change my mind quickly.

It is gorgeous here today too. I went for a quick walk earlier with Pogo. We had to return because I thought my water broke. It was really just more of my mucous plug. But this time there was bloody show with it. Maybe it's a sign. I'm going to try to talk dh into a little longer walk later. I'm also working a little bit on the family tree section of the baby book today.

Vanessa,
When I was writing that I was thinking--Did she have IVF?? My mom took clomid to get pregnant with me
The epidural is supposed to be a breeze. Dont worry I was a total wimp about all the shots but eventually-- I believe it or not just got used to it because I bought NUMBING CREAM for all my shots! I didnt understand why it wasnt just protocal with the IVF meds because it worked so well. As for the epidural, from what I understand, they numb the area before they put the real needle in it. Let's ask Peach--

Peachy-tell us about the epidural! Thanks!

Mirka-Your dogs are GINORMOUS! The one pic is adorble and looks like a really sweet dog. I just cant believe how small little Gregor looks next to him! Congrats on the baby twin cows!! Are you starting to feel any better or still crummy? I hope better!!

Good news, ladies! I have internet access at my ILs house now! Yay!! Boy, you were all busy with the posts this weekend!

Mirka - I'm sorry to hear about your DH's results. I will keep my fingers crossed that it is a benign tumor. The pictures of Gregor are wonderful! He is SUCH a cute baby!!!!

Robin - yay! for the induction on Tuesday! It's about time! AC is just so comfy in there...he needs a little coaxing to come out.

Lynn - I'm sorry your boys are still in the NICU. It has to be so difficult. I know they'll be home soon though!!

Peachy - thanks for sharing the pictures of Aiden and the bris. Aiden is gorgeous!! And you and DH look so proud and happy!

MM - so all the eggplant didn't work???

Havana - girl, you're making me nervous!! PACK YOUR BAG!!!

Nat - I like all the boy's names you're considering. I am partial to Harrison...it's one of my dearest friend's son's middle name (and her DH's middle name).

Vanessa - We have the Ergo Baby Carrier....my friends love theirs. And there is an insert you can buy (also made by Ergo) to use it for a newborn. Oh, and, yes, I am definitely planning on having an epidural. I am going to try to get to about 5cm before I get the epidural because I'm afraid of it slowing progress down too much. But, I'm getting it!!

Hmmm...sounds like a lot of you have been having contractions! No contractions here for me. I'll be curious to see if there has been any progress with dialation and effacement at my appt tomorrow. I've just had tan/light brown discharge for a few days....but my Dr said that's probably just an indicator of changes in my cervix. *sigh*

Boston! When I saw your post I thought you might posting from the hospital since it's the weekend. Hooray for internet access from your IL's!

The eggplant did not work. Grr. I've been leaking a little today but failed the "test" which is to lie down for 30 minutes with a pad and soak the pad. Your due date is so close!!! I can't believe how skint we've been on babies for the past week! They will probably all arrive in one fell swoop.

Hope you are having a great weekend. I'll be looking for your post after your OB appt. tomorrow. There are four of us going in!
