Wow....very exciting times with all the inductions this week!! I can't wait to see pictures of all the proud new moms (Robin, Havana, MM, and Maybebaby) and their bundles of joy this week! Thanks for the update on Havana, Peachy!!! Aiden will have a little playmate very soon!!
Just a question....is it odd for so many people to be induced instead of letting nature take it's course? I know my OB's practice tries to follow a more minimally invasive route (heck, I was 2 cm and 80% a week ago...and now I'm walking around a 3cm and just about 100%). Anyone think I should be worried that they won't induce me until I hit 41 weeks?

OK, in that case, the bags are going in the car in the morning and they're staying there. I'm afraid that, because I've progressed so much without any pain that by the time labor hits, I won't have time to get "home" to get my bags and head back to the city for the hospital! Oh, and whenever you read this, Havana....we TOLD you to pack your bag! ![]()

Boston, most drs induce between 41 and 42 weeks- at least from what i've read and heard- unless there's an issue w/ baby's size or something else of the sort. You sound totally on track. And the bag in the car is a VERY good plan. My hospital will admit anything over 3 cm

Wow! This is a busy baby week. Good luck to Havana, Maybe and Robin. You guys will do great.
Boston- Good idea putting your bag in the car. At this rate you never know when things might happen. Cat- Yep, Old Navy is a lifesaver. I got a bunch of pants and some great sweaters that were 50% off-nice. |

Boston-it looks like both our hospitals have the same policy on epidurals (thanks goodness!) Yes, get that phone ready! My DH also has your email address as well!
Nat-still have a full fledged cold OB thinks that could have contributed to slightly elevated blood pressure. I agree, Desperate housewives was a good one ![]() Vanessa- I wish we lived closer, I have a few sewing projects I never got to do! Peachy –Glad Aiden is doing so well! No snow storms! It actually going to be a really mild week! (between 36 and as high as 54!) Thanks for the update on Havana! I can’t wait to hear from herHavana- Thanks, the salt water did the trick! Instantly (thanks MM!! ) Bri01 –Yeah!!! Jayden is going home!! I am SO happy for you! Maggie- the last 10 pounds huh? Wow! Good for you! Cat- arrghh! I hate when people share their negative pregnant stories. Mirka-he would love a little girl but I am almost sure I’m having a boy! MM- great news! That would be AWESOME if Reid came on Friday! I had my “show” today not as gory as I thought My OB mentioned Cervadil, but he didn’t mention giving me anything to sleep…I so need some sleep! I have a little knit hats packed! Thanks again ![]() Robin – Good luck tomorrow!! Looks like our babies may share a birthday!SO much to do!! So little time! DH is busy putting the bassinette together!

I know, I thought the same thing about inductions but in my case, wants to go ahead. I don’t think you should be worried because you don’t have any apparent issues.

Maybe - I am so so so excited for you!!! And, I'm very glad the salt water gargle worked. My first choice would've been cough syrup with Codeine, but I'm thinking our OBs wouldn't approve.
What time to you go in? HOORAY!!!!

MM, did you mean that commercial "...where did all started?" I love that one and did see it today first time! Very touching.
That lick was from oldest dog Bear. It is hard to catch good moments on camera, because it takes 1 second or so for camera to snap picture from moment of pushing button. Max is small crazy one, who came this summer to stay with us, he is just sniffing baby. I am sure your Ginger will be great with your Reid! All will be good on Friday, cant wait!!!! HAVANA!!!!! My body is maybe in TX, but my head is in GA with you!!!! Maybebaby, hahaha, to many boys here, I WANT YOU TO HAVE A SWEET GIRL!!!! ok...ok....tomorrow we will know if is it sweet girl or sweet boy.......it is just so exciting!!!! Good luck tomorrow, girls!!!!! ![]() |
