Hershey Spa in PA has some prenatal services... It's at least on the east coast as most of us are.

Hi girls!

Peach-stick a fork in me-Im done! Shopping and EATING was so much fun, then I went to the office for 2 hours and now I'm exhausted. It is sooo hot in Atlanta! Oh and didnt we discuss if we went to the pool that would involve getting into a bathing suit? oh scary thought. My thighs look like cottage cheese! I hate Heidi Klum. She gives birth and then is in the Victoria Secrets Fashion show in a thong a month later. She obviously didnt eat as much as I did for lunch.

MaybeBaby- Home!! So glad that the doctor's visit went so well and that the baby is doing great. You have alot of reading to do! Miss a day on the board and you have to read 3 pages for sure!

Ok-lovin the California Ideas. Joy, my husband and I love Hawaii and have been there several times, but Im thinking it may be too far. We also went to Mexico and I got sick both times from Montezumas Revenge. (and I didnt drink ANY water) I think Mexico is a definete "no". too much crap in the food and water..

Boston-about the autism thing, I read everything that you read and came to the same conclusions as you. They dont have enough conclusive evidence to point to vaccines specifically. If you asked my sister on the other hand, she thinks that it is one big conspiracy with the pharmaceutical companies, etc...I think maybe the boys and some girls are genetically predisposed to getting autism and then maybe the vaccines trigger it somehow. I've also heard the thermasol (sp) is out of the vaccines now. Did that happen in the past 2 years because this only happened 2 years ago. I'll read up about it more down the road.

Let us know how the NT scan goes! We want details!

Havana - I'm done too. I had a two hour veg at home and managed to motivate myself to go get a much needed pedicure. I had toe envy after seeing yours today Yes, I know we have to deal with the cottage cheese thigh issues. Personally, I am determined to look around and find a maternity bathing suit with some sort of skirt. Then, I think we have to pick a really dead mid-week day where we'll be the only two souls brave enough to sit out in this heat!

Boston - Can't wait to hear your update tonight!

oKay, Boston, I want an update as soon as you log on in the am. (since you don't usually log on in the pm) How was the appt?

Joy, I kinda concur w/ Havana on Cabo- it's so easy to get sick w/ out realizing why. The pasta's cooked in the water, the salad was rinsed in it, etc. Not a good thing to go through while pregnant & in another country!

Peachy & Havana- tomorrow I'm taking your lead and doing some shopping on my lunch hour. I didn't buy any maternity shorts yet because I don't wear them to work but then i have nothing to wear at home in this 97 degree heat! And my toes are jealous. They feel so neglected... just haven't had the time yet and really not motivated enough to paint them myself... maybe I'll call at work tomorrow to schedule a pedi.

My doggy had surgery yesterday and looking at me w/ really sad eyes. He was having problems w/ anal glands (and really that's enough details) but now he's having issues w/ the stitches and going to the bathroom correctly and keeps trying to scoot across my floor which is not cool. I think the sad eyes are because he's in pain and I yelled at him to stop. I now have the steam cleaner out and ready for the am.. (can't use it tonight because would wake my baby) I feel very bad for my dog though... poor guy. His incisions look all swollen too.

Oh Cat. Sad doggies are the worst. Did the vet send him home with any pain meds? My dog is constantly cracking his front nails all the way down to the nail bed and then licking his paw for days neurotically. Anyway, the vet told me next time it happens to give him a benadryl to take the "edge" off and let him sleep a little. I've done it and it definitely helps. Hope he feels better soon!

Cat, try to take cooling gel with Aloevera and put it on his butt hole and slowly gently massage it. He will first tight his mussles, but than he will relax and it will feel good to him. I am sure it is scratching him very much. Or use some other cream, something what will feel good to him. Help him!!! Do it often. Maybe ask what if they can give you some cream for that place where are stytches, something healing.
I did have some simmilar problem with Sophie.....

Thanks Mirka & Peachy- I put some neosporin on him (dr recommended) and gave him some benedryl so hopefully he'll rest and it will heal some...

Hi ladies!!!

Peachy and Havana - sounds like you had a very fun afternoon!! I can relate about the heat...the past 3 days have been in the 90's here and so humid (though I am sure not as humid as ATL!) We don't have central A/C in our house (adding it is part of out house project) so I have been living in our bedroom with the A/C on when I'm home! hahaha

Cat - if you go to the spa in Hershey, you'll have to let me know how it is! I went to college not too far from there....I know a lot of people really like that area but it's not a place I'm eager to go back to. hahahaha Just recalling the strong smell of manure in that area on the hot, humid days is making me feel sick. hahaha

OK, my appt went well yesterday. Of course they don't have the blood test results yet but, so far everything looks good. It was worth it just to see the little one floating around in there...he/she is SO active!! Maybe a soccer player because the little legs were kicking almost the whole time. hahaha The last u/s I had was May 25th and it was amazing to see that there are now fingers and toes...to see the spine and the hemispheres of the brain...and to see the profile of a face! It was great.

Also, my Old Navy order finally arrived. The XS stuff fit me pretty good!!! I'm going to see if there is more that I want to order.

Yeah Boston! Glad to hear your appt went well and I'm glad that your order finally came in and fits pretty well. There's a jean skirt online that i want but they're out-of-stock in xs, I may be calling around to local stores to see if they have it. Central AC is definately a must for me.

They took two vials/tubes/whatever you want to call it of blood. I guess I have small veins because they always comment on how small they are whenever they have to draw blood and it's always difficult for them to get a vein. So, I still have a bruise on my right arm from my 1st OB appt last week and now I have one on my left arm from yesterday.

SOOoooo....we're going to tell my DH's parents the news tonight. I REALLY wanted to tell my parents first but we generally don't see them as often because they live further away...and my in-laws are going to be at the beach for the next week and a half or so and my DH is itching to tell them. I won't be able to tell my parents until next week because they'll be away for most of this weekend. I'm hoping we can swear his parents to secrecy because once is sister knows, the whole world will know...and I don't want the whole world knowing until I've told my parents!
