No update from Maybebaby yet! Maybebaby - I hope everything is going smoothly for you and your precious little one!!

Wow, Robin and Havana!! I can't believe how similar your deliveries seemed to progress!! You must have your bundles of joy in your arms now...enjoy every precious second!!! Robin, I'm impressed that you were updating us from the hospital!! Peachy, thanks for updating us on Havana!!

Peachy - that bra looks scary. hahaha Also, I laughed when you said that Havana was starving. That's what was most concerned with when they gave me my induction date...my Dr said that sometimes if you're induced starting at less than 2cm and 50% effaced that induction to the point where it's time to push can take up to 3 DAYS...yikes...and that you can't eat during it. I was like "Oh, hell, no! I turn into a raving biatch when I'm hungry and I get hungry every 2 hours or so!" hahaha So, hopefully, if I'm induced things will progress quickly because of where I am all ready...otherwise I'll be a hungry, hungry hippo!

THREE DAYS?! There is no way I would allow that. I've already got my "how to demand food" argument ready. I lmao when you said "hungry, hungry hippo" because I say that to DH all the time! I bet yours will go fast because you've progressed. Check out this test I found online about whether your induction will be successful Am I ready for induction? - Childbirth.org

How are you feeling today, Boston?

I say "hungry, hungry hippo" to my DH too. I guess the no food thing is an anesthesia requirement or something like that. If I end up getting induced, I can eat breakfast on the morning I go to the hospital and that's it. Same with if I progress on my own...I can eat while I'm laboring at home but, once I get to the hospital, no food until the baby is out. I think it's in case they need to administer anesthesia in a hurry in the case of an emergency (just like you can't eat before you have surgery).

I am feeling the same. TIRED. hahaha I'm sick of people at work seeing me and saying "You're still here?" or "What are you doing here?" What else am I going to do, people?! hahaha I'll have to check out that induction link, MM!

ha ha MM, i can't take that test because i know none of those answers. Maybe after my appt tomorrow.

I was definately starving by the time dd was born. I have a friend who's water broke and was having contractions every 2 minutes and stopped by a drive-thru for a cheeseburger before going to the hospital!

Boston- when people say "you're STILL here?" my response is just "for now" and then i walk away -- or waddle away as the case may be

Yeah, when people say "Why are you here?" I was saying "What else would I do?" But, by the end of yesterday, I was turning in a wise a$$ and responding with "Why are YOU here?" or "Why are any of us here?" I think people started getting the point.

Oh, and like your friend, I plan on eating right up until I walk through the hospital doors...if I won't be able to eat until after the baby is born, I'm going to stock up on calories while I can! hahaha I have a ton of snacks packed in the bag for DH to eat...and for me to eat once the baby is born!

Wow! So many posts to get through!!

Peachy- Thanks for our Havana updates. I can just picture her demanding some food. Too funny! Okay, that bra looks hideous! You didn't get it, did you? How was Copper in the car with Aiden? Yes, I finally finished cleaning last night at 7pm (Dh was at a business dinner) and I feel so good having done it. My bag is packed. Today Jake gets a bath, I need to run to Target, then am getting manicure & pedicure. Of course this means that I probably won't go into labor for another 4 weeks!! Arrrrrrrrrrgghhhhhh!!

Maybebaby- Goodluck!! Us Jan due date Girl's cannot wait to find out if you are having a boy or a girl!! Sending you lots of

MM- Thanks for the text this morning or was it last night? I had my phone shut off. Slept in till 8:30am. But was awake half of the night, grrrrrr.... How are you feeling over there?

Boston- I cracked up at your "hungry, hungry, hippo" comment. That was my sister's favorite game & she would make me play it (I think I secretly loved it too) a thousand times a day. I can still remember the commercial in my head. Yeah, I would be a lunatic too if I couldn't eat for 3 days!

Vanessa- How are you doing today? Any contractions? I too send lots of hugs & best wishes to your mil. Best of luck! My ob appt is tomorrow.

Cat- Smart friend you have over there, stopping for a cheeseburger! In my case it would be a small cheese pizza from Pizza Hut. I love the little stories you tell about dd, always puts a smile to my face. Keep them coming!!

Robin- Come on Alex!!

Mirka- Hi sweetie!! How are you doing? Feeling better? Sending you lots of

Nat

Yay for Havana and Robin. I'm sure you are enjoying every minute now...

Good luck to you Maybe!

I had some contractions in the middle of the night again. They are much less now. I watched A Baby Story this morning (I know Cat... I shouldn't be watching that now but I'm a little short on activities over here) Anyway... there was a couple using this website Contraction Master : Your free contraction timing assistant to time contractions. It is pretty neat. It will time them and measure the frequency and duration keeping a running log. All you have to do is press the spacebar when it starts and stops. Much easier than keeping a list.

Thanks to everyone for good wishes for my MIL. I think she is pretty nervous. We are going up to see her this afternoon. I am going to try for another nap this morning. Can't wait for updates from everyone. Are there any other OB appts before Friday? Cat ... yours is on Friday too right?

Capricorn
The Goat * December 22–January 19
Conscientious, responsible, and sensitive, Capricorn babies care a great deal what others think about them. They need extra affection and reassurance from the start. Set your little one up for success by helping him master new skills (such as using a spoon or saying a nursery rhyme) in private before having him show them off to your friends. If he stumbles when trying to take his first steps, fend off frustration by teaching him the old adage: If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. And when he’s learning to talk or use the potty, don’t hesitate to praise him.
