Congratulations Maybebaby and Robin

Robin- Good thing he didn't come vaginally...

Maybebaby- Glad that I did not post my guess since I was going to vote for a boy since everyone said girl. I guess my predictions are way off.

Peachy- I exclusively pump and feed him from a bottle right now because I have to make sure that he is at least eating the minimum required amount. I have a hard time with his feeds since he likes to sleep so much. From day one I have pumped every 3 hours during the day and every 4 at night. I found that my supply is best in the morning, and that if I am stressed and/or tired I have a decreased supply. Also, I got hardly anything with my store purchased pump, and we ended up renting the hospital grade Medelea Symphony pump and it made a huge difference. I have over 150 oz in my freezer...

Nat- You are having a boy...I predict...lol. What a nice surprise from you ds

Hi Girls...and holy cow - lurkers coming out of the woodwork! Well, it IS a very big day afterall!!!

Maybebaby - Congrats on baby Lauren! I CANNOT wait to see her, I'm sure she is gorgeous. I am mailing you some ribbon to tie around the little ears on the green hat I knit for her. I was tempted to just include it when I sent it off, I don't know why didn't! I got an overwhelming GIRL vibe for you last night. Can't wait to hear how your delivery + doula was. I'm next and I think we're the only two with doulas!!!

Robin!!!! WOW -- OVER NINE POUNDS!!!! Alex was sooo comfy and happy in there! I hope you're feeling well and happy and can't wait to hear more from you soon.

Havana - I miss you and it's only been two days!!! I hope that you are on the mend and have gotten some well-deserved, much needed rest.

ALL YOU NEW MOMS -- Get well, snuggle with your little ones and then --- PICTURES, PEOPLE, WE NEED PICTURES!!!

Nat - How GREAT that your sister flew in and surprised you! My sister and I are very close too but she just lives 20 minutes away. Have a wonderful time at your shower tonight!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

Cat - I am dying about your male co-worker's "advice!" HAHA!!! Thank you for updating the Welcome post! It's getting hard to keep track.

Boston - How are you feeling over there? (TMI) I am non stop CM for the past three days. I wonder if Julia and Reid will decide to come together?

Vanessa - How are you feeling? I thought of you...went to do mall walking and did more mall shopping today! Then I had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and am now collapsed at home from all the "activity."

Peach - WOW, your daycare has a shuttle service? I would be all over that! How often does Cooper go? Ginger normally goes two days a week, but since I've been home I want her home with me, so she's only gone twice in three weeks. Maybe you can splurge on the shuttle service for a month while Aiden is still so little? There are lots of staff people, always at least four at my daycare so maybe that's why they always walk Ginger out for me. Hope your pumping goes well today. Which bottles does Aiden like? The classic glass ones?

HOORAY for our big January Baby Day!!!!!

Wow Robin! Over 9lbs. He really was ready for college in there! So much for the newborn clothes

I'll see if Havana will let me sneak some pictures tomorrow.

Bri - I am so impressed with all that milk! Jeez. I wish I had a massive supply. Right now I feel bad leaving him b/c we have to supplement with the formula. Thanks for the advice. I'll just keep trying. It's a little discouraging and I worry that there isn't enough milk left for Aiden after I pump. I'm sure there is or he wouldn't be sucking away.

MM - I'm using the classic glass bottles. Our daycare has four different "schools" so the one that Cooper goes to for the big dogs is the only one within the building that only has one person working there.

Off to eat some yummy Thai with dh!

I'll check in tomorrow...

All afternoon we were moving out rest of stuff from our second house and cleaning there, so neighbors have place to stay. I am very tired...... good night...

Cat- Jayden eats about every 3-4 hours anywhere between 1.25 to 2.25 oz. He is hard to feed as he likes to sleep while eating...

Peachy- You may want to try a different pump...that worked for me. I wouldn't feel bad about supplementing....some women never get to breastfeed. Be patient, make sure you get rest and plenty of fluids.

Boston & MM- We are waiting for Julia & Reid!! Maybe they will have the same birthday's!

Mirka- Oh your poor neighbors! How awful. But they are okay, right? I cannot believe that the fire dept didn't have any water in the tank!! Do your neighbors have any pets? How wonderful that you & Dh are able to lend them your second home.

Bri- I too am impressed with all of the milk you have stored over there! Thanks for all of the tips. Okay, I have you down for a boy prediction. How has it been having Jayden home? Has the monitor been going off?

Cat- Yes, I would love to have the baby right now since ds is here. Though she would be too grossed out to be in the room with me. Hope you (& especially dd!!) are sleeping.

Peachy- Thai food sounds yummy! Even at this early hour! Are you going to see Havana today? Send her our love!

The shower last night was wonderful! There were 21 or 22 women total. Lots of appetizer food, a raspberry cream cake that a woman in town is known for (she is a chef). It is to die for. I got so many things!! Started at 7pm, I left at 10:30pm. Lots of clothes for boys & girl's, they gave me receipts for the clothing so I can return one or the other when the baby finally arrives. One of the women (a former neighbor, in her sixties) made me the most beautiful quilt. I think I am going to have to hang it in the room. She also made me 10 or 15 blankets (all in different animal prints) & burp cloths to match. I was so touched & overwhelmed. Got almost everything off of my registry that I wanted. Did get a silver rattle (what do you do with those???). Also got the baby book "Love you Forever" by Robert Munsch. I had never heard of it and everyone at the party was telling me that it is a tear-jerker. How right they are, it is a beautiful story and at the end I busted out crying. If you don't already have it GET IT! It was great to have my sister there for the shower.
