Hey!

Boston - I'm so glad to hear things went well yesterday! I bet it was so fun to see your little one again! Best of luck telling the in laws tonight...I agree with Robin - I can't believe you have been able to wait this long! I'm going to go check out Old Navy Maternity today because nothing else has worked for me!

Havana/Cat/Robin - after thinking about it and discussing with dh, I think you guys are right about the Hawaii/Cabo trips. Like Havana, I have been there 4x and its my favorite place to go, but I just think the flight would be killer at this point. Plus, I'm not even sure if my dr would give me the ok to go. And, I dont even want to think about getting sick in Mexico. I hit 13 weeks today and thought things would be better...however I was greeted with a morning puke and a bloody nose. Lovely.

How is everyone else??? Mirka - I loved your advice about the dogs!!! The things we do for our furry friends!

Havana, I am very serious person!!! Maybe it is because I dont know many English words. Well, truth is that I should have say "annal hole" and not use word "Butt". Yes, Joy, we do for them whatever they ask with theirs eyes!!!!!!
And where is your picture? For few days it is not visible!?

No, no results yet, but I did call yesterday afternoon and ask and also ask what time usually they get them and she did say about 4pm. So it will be than today or tomorrow late afternoon.....

Today I am going to airport to pick up my SIL and niece who are staying here for month vacation.........

Boston, let us know how was your news taken. I am sure they will get crazy from happiness.......

I agree. I've been to Hawaii but spent most of the time on Maui. Though it was beautiful, I'd choose Europe over Hawaii any day!!

I'll definitely let all of you know how tonight goes. Honestly (and I know this sounds bad) I'm not really looking forward to it. I really wanted to tell my parents first. And I'm still feeling really sick so, even though I AM excited about the baby, I just don't have the engery to deal with the in-laws crazy reactions tonight. My own parents would understand that I'm not feeling well and probably wouldn't bombard me with questions I don't have the answers to yet. My in-laws are great people...I am really lucky to have such wonderful in-laws but, they're just different than my family. Anyway, we were going to tell them at dinner but my DH had a nightmare that we told them at dinner and his mom made a big scene with her excitement. hahaha So, we're just going to tell them when they come to our house before dinner. Nothing elaborate planned.

When we tell my parents, I want to take one of the u/s picture and put it in a little baby frame and give it to them. I don't know why...it popped into my head when I was looking at the long strip of u/s photos from yesterday. I certainly don't expect them to display an u/s picture in the house...I just thought it would be neat for them to have an u/s picture of their 1st grandchild....

Boston- that sounds like a great way to tell your parents- i'm sure they'll love it. Good luck tonight! You could always call your mom and give her the heads up over the phone beforehand but i know that's not as fun... shame your parents can't stop by tonight before your in-laws

Robin- Paris IS closer

Thanks, ladies!! I am really hoping the in laws will keep the news hush-hush. My MIL was battling an illness last year and asked us not to tell anyone because she likes her privacy...and we didn't tell anyone...but her daughter told people! (That's why I don't want my SIL to know yet.) This will be the 2nd grandchild for my in-laws and, when my DH's brother and his wife broke the news that she was pregnant, they did it in kind of an elaborate fashion (they wrote letters from the baby to each of the grandparents and to my DH and his sister and handed them out when we were at a restaurant...and they were LONG letters). My DH just wants to simply tell his parents which is fine with me.

I'm glad you don't think the u/s photo in a picture frame is a lame way to tell my parents. I'll tell them on Wednesday (we're heading down there for a quiet cookout with just my parents and my sister and brother). And then, yes, I'll run around telling everyone I know.

I'll let you all know how tonight goes!! Actually talking with you about it is getting me excited.

I almost told people at work today but then i was wondering if i should tell friends &family first. Of course, then i almost vomited all over my boss (wave of m/s hit due to some odd food smell in the office) I don't think he knows how close he was to being covered in vomit

Havana, tomorrow you get down to 200 days to go! Very exciting

Mirka, are you back from the airport? Which house are your visitors staying in? I hope you enjoy their company- a whole month- wow!

Cat-almost everyone at my office knows! AHH! Someone said to me today, "ok, whats the deal, either you've been eating WAY too many donuts or your pregnant". I cant escape it anymore. I look like I ate a melon. I mean its there and obvious so no escaping for me.
Sorry you guys are still so sick.
Joy, Boston- are you feeling any better today?

Maybe-Are you ok? Where are you?? i have an interesting concept for a new chart. One of my prego books has a chart of "pregnancy milestones". Its really neat. Shows the 3 hardest point to get through. I was feeling so proud that we're almost there!!

Oh and thanks for pointing out only 200 days to go! WOW!

Hello all! I'm finally joining in... this is such an active thread. I'm due January 24th. We are so excited. We've told most of our friends and family by now. We can't avoid it - the belly is just out there for all to see now. I have been doing pretty well so far except for TIRED and smells are driving me crazy. Smells bring on the nausea but no throwing up thankfully. Also lots of bloating and burping. We've had 2 u/s. Everything looks great. Still hard to believe that it is real but am hoping that having you all to talk to will help with that. Had slight spotting at about 5 weeks and ob/gyn put me on progesterone. Spotting stopped but they are keeping me on it until 12 weeks. Otherwise, my pap came back with some very low level abnormal cells which I also had in college. OB says that she really isn't concerned but is going to look at the cervix at 16 weeks with a scope just to be sure. Anyway, it's great to read all of your posts and Best Wishes to all!!!

Vanesa - The more the merrier! Glad you're doing ok so far. Enjoy the stories... we get a little crazy some days

Boston - I hope your big announcement went well tonight! I love the idea of the framed u/s. It's great to have some surprises in this scientific process. We want to hear details in the morning.

Mirka - Do you have to move back in with DH now?? I hope you and the dogs are still comfy in the guest house.

I just got home. Long day! I had lots of work & then had a dinner planned with a girlfriend that is 8 months pregnant. She's about 5 feet tall, was barely showing when I saw her 5 weeks ago, and has definitely "popped" now. So cute.

Well, I attempted to cut my hair off today. My hairdresser wouldn't do it! He said his wife made him cut her hair off when she was pregnant and then told him she hated it everyday for three months. So, we compromised on about 3 inches and he said I'll thank him next time

More fashion gossip... I was in Mimi Maternity/Motherhood today and the Atlanta store said they're having a huge sale starting Saturday for a week and then it'll be all fall clothes and sweaters coming in. Hmmm. May have to head back this weekend. I just stopped in for tank tops today!
