Boston! Hurrah! You're in labor!!! Lots of women I know (including my mom-of-three sister) say that contractions are like really bad AF cramps plus back pain. So I'd bet yours are the real McCoy. I had some last night while at PBK and again this morning. They are seriously painful. Keep us posted! Is there a conference room where you can sequester yourself with DH while you're in early labor? Who is your buddy???

Cat - 2cm dilated and 50% effaced sounds to me like Tysen is coming sooner rather than later. Yes, get to rolling around on that ball. I personally LOVE the ball, it really helps ease the pelvic pressure and I swear, that's why I'm progressing in the effacement dept. My doula is always asking "are you on the ball?" She swears it's the best birthing tool (that and the tub).

Nat - What a great group of ladies you had throw you a shower! Mmmmmm now I want raspberry cream cake. And yes, I am going to call you before I go to Panera Breads, I'm very intrigued! Oh and that book "Love You Forever" really turns on the waterworks. I haven't gotten it yet...need to do that. Where will you hang the quilt in the nursery? I can't remember where you'll have the wall space? What I do remember is that adorable net filled with stuffed animals!

V - I SO hear you on all the questions and every sentence ending in "yet?!" As in "Haven't you had that baby yet?!" or "You haven't had that baby yet?!" I don't know if it's my tolerance waning now that I'm full term, but it's driving me bonkers! Plus all the looks...OMG. I was telling Cat and Nat, I swear, some people look at me like they need to be ready at any moment to fall to their knees and CATCH the baby that is no doubt just going to FALL out of me. It's either that or they're looking at my shirt that is about two inches too short!

Peachy - Hey, what do you think I should eat today in preparation of my hospital stay? The paperwork says "a light meal." Since I'm not being admitted until midnight, I figure I'll have some oatmeal or something around 11 p.m. just to have something in my stomach right before I go in. But what should I have for lunch and dinner? DH thinks steak for lunch and pasta for dinner for a power protein and carb combo! Thanks for letting me know about which bottles you're using. I know we all went through a lot of decision making about those! How is Aiden today...did you both get a good night's sleep? Wow, a big dog only daycare!

Feeling nervous over here. I was up UNTIL 3 a.m. instead of AT 3 a.m. for a change. I just couldn't stop making lists and cleaning. I cleaned out a whole cupboard in the kitchen for Reid's stuff - bottles, sterilizer, etc. and then moved on to my closet. I packed up all my summery maternity clothes and maternity work and special occasion clothes that I know I won't wear after the baby comes. I know I'm going to need a long nap over here today. I cannot believe that last night was our last night at home with no baby Reid!

Hooray Boston! I am so thrilled for you.

MM... My shirts are all 2 inches too short too. I'm thinking of getting over to the gym for a little walking on the elliptical machine this afternoon. I will have to borrow a tshirt from dh though. Last time I went mine kept riding up and showing like 6 inches of belly. That was 2 months ago. Also... I want to pick up a ball... where should I go and how big should it be? I am 5'0" tall does that make a difference on the size I should get?

Cat... I've taken to telling people who ask when I'm due "today I hope". They usually just smile and say nothing more. My appointment tomorrow is at 11:30. I have two things on my list... questions about pain mgmt and I want to talk with her about how big they think Stella might be getting. I'm really hoping for another vaginal delivery.

Nat... how are you feeling? I've got my phone on and I check for updates from you. Seems like you are hanging tough though. I don't know how anyone can be at this point...

Boston-How exciting, sounds like Julia will be here soon. Hope you have an easy delivery.

Peachy- 4.5 hours???? Do you mean in a row??? I am still only getting about 2-2.5 hours in a row. Josh is not a big night sleeper. Any advice?

Nat-Sounds like you had a great shower. I am going to pick up that book today.

MM- Wow, almost time for Reid to arrive! Good luck tomorrow.

V - Go to a sporting goods store because they'll have best selection, but I KNOW that Target has them too if that's more convenient. I'm 5'3" and the one I use is 65cm. I think the size should work for you too. If you don't have a pump, I recommend getting an electric pump, otherwise you'll put yourself into labor just getting the thing inflated!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes as we head into our big adventure tonight!

Thanks MM. I've got a Sporting Goods store and a Target in the same parking lot as my gym. I'm eating lunch and then heading over there. Hoping to get more walking done than shopping today that's why no "mall walking". Good Luck tonight. I see little fingers and toes in your near future!

V- also the one i got from my sporting goods store wouldn't blow up all at once. It wasn't in the directions but when i googled it on the web, there were different instructions that said blow it up until it seems full, wait 30 minutes and add more air-something about the way the material stretched...although my Target does have a sale on their excersize balls right now- the ones at my sporting good store were all $30, but the sale made some about $5 or so cheaper at target. I did use the hand pump but i made dh pump up half of it-- hey, if blowing it up makes you go into labor- all the better, right?

MM- napping at all before your big night? I'm bouncing as I type

Nat- when does DS leave? OOOH and any news on step kids' baby? Will you be delivering at the same hospital? So the nursery could have two baby "Nat's last name here"?

And then there were 4.... Right, we're the 4 left?

Cat... thanks for the tip. I am going to check at Target in hopes of catching them on sale. We have an air compressor here but I may pump it by hand just for the extra chance of going into labor. hehe. Your count is correct it's MM, Nat, You and Me. The last four standing. I don't think I'm missing anyone... am I missing anyone??

Good luck MaggieMay and Boston!! Wishing you all the best of luck.

I sit here today with my dh who just purchased a sitz bath tub for me along with many fun pharmaceutical medications....(fun) and I am sure you know why I needed it at this point. Having contractions that are more uncomfy than painful - 4-6 per hour. So Dr. says I am not allowed up our stairs more than once per day and no travel unless it's to the dr.

The twins are putting much pressure on me and they are are pushing my ribs very hard to the point it feels like they will break.

So good to vent - I just look forward to seeing them and being in your shoes Boston and MaggieMay!!!

Best wishes!!
