Mirka congratulations on your big news! A little boy!!! Gives me goosebumps. So happy for you!

Have any of you had the nuchal translucency test? Mine is this coming Thursday. My sister said that at her NT test she asked the technician if she could tell if it was a boy or girl and the tech said it was very early, but she thought it was a boy. And it was! She was 12 weeks at the time. So, even though I'm nervous about the test, now I'm excited to see if we might be able to find out what we're having!

Havana, sorry to hear that you're on antibiotics, but good to know they will clear things up for you.

Peachy -- where did buy your doppler? I'm thinking of buying one too.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hi Maggie!
Our schedules are so close together arent they? My NT is scheduled for Friday. Thats really exciting that they could tell it was a boy at 12 weeks. My tech at my old RE was pregnant and she told me that they could tell it was a girl at 13 weeks. I'm sure she had them look really close too. There are a couple of people who have already had the NT scan-Robin and Boston. Im sure they will pipe-in and let you know how it went. -sorry if I left someone off!!

Ok so Maggies NT is Thursday, I'm on Friday, what else is this week. Peach-is your OB appointment this week?? I'm thinking so!

Maggie - I'll probably have my NT scan soon too. Still trying to figure out the logistics. I won't see my OB for the first time until I'm 12w5d so hopefully they can still squeeze me in somewhere soon. I decided to rent the fetal heart rate monitor. Mine should be here tomorrow according to the tracking so I'll let you know. I rented it from this site:
Fetal Doppler for Monitoring at Home - BabyBeat

Havana - I do have my first OB appt this week on Thursday. Can't wait! Poor doc... I already have a long list of questions for the first visit. Plus, I've got to beg for the NT scan... and see if I can negotiate an extra u/s due to a tempermental thyroid. My SIL said it was enough to qualify her! Doing ok with the antibiotics?

Robin - Hope you were able to make the big announcement yesterday! Hopefully the rain stayed away.

Boston - I can't believe you're going to spend the entire day with your Mom and Sister and not spill the beans!! Amazing.

It's been a quiet weekend for me. Did a little shopping yesterday in an attempt to find a dress to wear to this black tie wedding I have coming up. Brought home two options and DH likes the more expensive one (of course!). So, we may have to see which one I still fit in in four more weeks. I was a little nervous about having to deal with alterations too.

I did have DH take a tummy picture yesterday for the 12 week marker. Just got to work up a little courage and I'll post it for ya'll. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Thanks for the reminder. I also ordered a doppler, but I ordered the famous doppler that we researched on amazon.com. I saw that they have a 3rd party who ships it -since you have to pay for shipping, I went to the website and saved $8 because they ship for free! I cant wait to get it. It should be here by Tuesday.

Oh and Peach, the antibiotics are fine although they are making me really tired. I hate antibiotics, they always suck the life out of you. As if the baby wasnt enough, right? I do wish I had the doppler now, just so I could hear that the baby is doing ok with the meds. ya know?

Has anyones gums started bleeding when brusing thier teeth? It happened to me for the first time yesterday. A little freaky, but no big deal. Im going to the dentist tomorrow for my cleaning. AND No X-Rays!!

Wow!!! Busy weekend!

Peachy & everyone - I loved the waxing conversations!!! I learned so much! Boston - I was so close to signing up for lasic hair removal and am glad I didn't. Although, as soon as these babies come and I am feeling better I am having it done in a lot of places!! Glad to hear your SIL had great results!

Mirka - CONGRATULATIONS on both the Baby Boy and the normal test results! I bet you were so relieved and excited!!! I'm so happy for you!

Cat - your daughter sounds adorable! Its amazing at the young age of 2 that she is already acting like an older sister/brother by kissing your tummy!

Havana - how are the antibiotics going? I hope you are doing ok!!! I'm sure that will clear things up!

Boston - I agree with Peachy, can't believe you are going to spend time with your mom and sister and not say anything! I'm so impressed!!!

Robin - I really hope the rain held off for you yesterday and you were able to make your big annoucement! Fill us in!

Maggie - I had my NT test a few weeks ago and they weren't able to tell the sex (the tech didn't seem very willing to try because I think she was annoyed that she had to perform the test on 3 babies....boo hoo), but the u/s was pretty cool because it was a little more extensive than others I had in the past.

Alicia - I am SO sorry to hear about your weekend. I'm really sorry to hear about baby C. And, I will be keeping baby A in my prayers. From what I've read its completely normal for one to be a little smaller than the other. I hope you are doing ok. I'm thinking of you and your dh....

Ok, I'm hoping I didn't miss anyone! Hope you guys had a great weekend! Our golf outing was fun (I didn't golf), but I am so glad to be home. I'm ready to sleep in my own bed because I have enough trouble sleeping as it is!

We have another OB appt tomorrow morning...I'll let you know how it goes.

Bleeding....

Alicia I am so sorry to hear about your weekend. I too had bleeding from brown spotting to heavier week 3-5 of this pregnancy. It appears that one or both of my other embies tried to take. I did stop the bledding in week 5 but I still have "debris" from them in the uterus. The doctor told me that I could either start spotting again at any time, or just to expect to bleed heavier then normal during delivery.

I hope that your bleeding stops soon. Try to relax and take it easy. No heavy lifting was advised to me as well.

I had the NT test about a week ago, but they didn't tell me the sex. I'm thinking she didn't really look at the time. The test was easy and it made me feel better that it came out well. We got back the first triple screen blood test and that looks normal, too. My Ob scheduled me for another US on 8/2 to find out the sex. Yay, we can't wait. Hope you guys get to find out sooner!

Havana -- Yes we are so close together! I think I'm right between you and Peachy. Love it! Wouldn't it be great if all our piglets were born right in a row? So fun to think about. I will let you know the results of my NT scan. I'm going to the same special clinic that my sister went to, so I'm really hopeful that just MAYBE they will be able to tell! If not, August 13 isn't too far away. When will you find out? Sorry to hear that the antibiotics are making you even more tired. I can't even get my head around that, I'm so tired as it is. Hopefully you won't have to be on them too much longer.

Peachy -- Thanks for the info about Babybeat. I think I'll go the rental route too! Good luck at your OB visit this week. I really think that anyone who goes through IVF should be able to have as many u/s as she wants! Have you checked out Cadeau -- they have some beautiful special occasion things. Nordstroms carries Cadeau online too and you don't have to pay to ship it back, you can return it in store. Just in case you decide against the two dresses you already have... How fun, a black tie wedding!

Thanks for piping in about the NT test everyone. You're great! I'll let you know how it goes...

Alicia - I am sorry to hear about baby C. I've got my fingers crossed for baby A...I know it will work out!

Maggie - I had my NT scan last week. I didn't even bother to ask about the gender because I am sure it was too early though. The u/s was amazing though...we basically got to watch the baby move around for a good 30 minutes!

Peachy, Joy and Havana - nope, my mom, sister and dad didn't say anything. I wore some lightweight sweats and a loose Red Sox T-shirt and you really couldn't tell! Plus I was sitting down at my sewing machine most of the time anyway. We'll drop the news on my family on Wednesday...should be fun!

Robin - I hope the weather cooperated so you could share your exciting news at the big party!!

Cat - I have this one pair of light weight sweats that are the most comfortable pants I own right now...I live in them on the weekends because nothing else is quite comfortable enough! hahaha

Robin - Even though the party was rescheduled, I am happy that you don't have to wait too long to share your news with everyone...just two more days!!!
