Lynn- I just had the heart to heart with my former boss and had to tell him that I was in fact not coming back. Made no sense when I looked at day care expenses let alone the other things one has to factor in.

Cat - I keep thinking how long does it take your body to catch up from 3 months of sleep deprivation? I definitely have those exhausted days and I almost hit the side of the car pulling in the garage a couple weeks ago. I do think it's a good idea to check your thyroid. I think 25% of all women have a thyroid problem so it's very common. In our family, I've been on thyroid meds since I was about 27, my mom is on them, my paternal grandmother, and my SIL! Let us know.

Robin - Good news about Irina! Baby gap has some cute hats right now.

We spent the afternoon having a picnic in the park. My mom watches my niece on Weds. so we all went together. Now, mom just called me to tell me that my strict SIL had already reported on her to my brother and he's already called to cuss her out. Urgh!! Oh, and not once but has called 3 times ranting! Doesn't he have other things to do with his time as a heart surgeon? My sil sent her with a juice box/yogurt type thing but no straw so of course it got all over her (we did the best we could) and she got dirt from the park and playground. My brother yelled at her and said she can't just be the "fun" grandma and it was irresponsible to do that. Whatever. My mom had already changed her once and the back-up clothes didn't fit so she was in them but it wasn't perfect. My niece had a great time and it's gorgeous today. Poor child....

Peachy- Well your strict SIL and brother would have been told where to stick it by me.....Kids gets messy..it's part of being a kid and how "responsible" were they to pack it without a straw?

I agree that I would have told my brother where to stick it. It's friggin free daycare! My mom is 60 and my sil drops off the 1.5 niece and the dog from 8am-2pm. It's a full day and my niece is not the easiest child. My poor mom is a tough new yorker and she was crying telling me the story And how childish of my sil to tattletale and then my brother to call. I think my mom is trying to calm down before having a rationale conversation with them. She's planning on telling them that her version of parenting has to do with taking a child out and exposing her to new things (or just anything other than watching my sil run on the friggin treadmill) and if it's not ok if she gets a little dirty than they have to decide if this just won't work for them.

The other weird thing is my niece is going to daycare starting in the fall for 2 days a week. My mom has been watching her for about a year now and was kind of excited to actually have Weds. free or at least be able to offer me some help. Well, my sil told her that she still needs her on Wed. to have more time. I don't think mom expected this to be a forever setup and she already babysits for them a few times a month at night too.

Now, doesn't that sound like a fun group to spend your vacation with?!

peach- some people just make me shake my head. I can imagine how aggrevating it is to deal w/ your sil and b-- i feel for your mom. Any chance you can give your sil LOTS of wine on vacation? And perhaps slip something in it to calm her down? I imagine on her frame, a glass of wine should be enough to knock her out... especially some of the stronger wine available now...

I am used to sleep deprivation- did wakeups twice a night w/ dd for almost 9 months. And i was okay the first 3 months when i was getting up all the time, but now that i'm getting more sleep, i'm suddenly feeling extremely exhausted and it just doesn't feel right. I have no problem waking up to feed my baby, i just want to make sure there's nothing wrong w/ me that i should be treating as well...

Jayden has not wanted to go to sleep the past 3 nights. It takes rocking him, and last night he was throwing punches for 40 min before he quit fighting him. Not sure what is going on.

My dilema for the week.....We are trying to schedule Jaydens baptism and my brother is going to be the godfather. All of the sudden the church now requires a letter from the parish he goes to. Being that he is in law enforcement and works 12 hour shifts a lot on the weekends he is not registered at a parish. Isn't that just peachy keen?

bri- my church also requires a letter, BUT the letter just has to say they're registered, not how long they've been registered. SO, pick up a registration form for your brother and fill it out Also, my church only requires a letter from one godparent- could you just choose a godmother who is registered ? (that's what we're doing)

Appt was short & sweet- she ordered some blood tests and said in the meantime try to find the time to exercise and make sure i'm eating healthy and plenty and that it should help...

cat - glad your appointment went well... but where are going to get energy to exercise?
how is the weather in MD? can you, DD, & DS take walks in the evenings? i guess Ty can't... you may want to use a stroller

Robin, yep, the weather is gorgeous and we can attempt to take walks, i have been way too tired since starting back at work and between getting home, making dinner, giving the kids baths, i'm generally then in bed myself, but i'll try and figure something out-- maybe some lunchtime strolls while at work After all, it's supposed to help me be more productive. And too funny about taking the stroller. I tend to just start walking w/ him in my arms but then halfway up the street realize that little guy is HEAVY!

daycare just called and they are concerned about Alex's poop. It's green, they said it should be mustardy yellow? i thought it was supposed to be green?
what color is your little one's poop? i can't believe i am asking a poop question...
