Happy Mothers Day to all of you too!! I remember dh giving me a mother-to-be card last year at this point since we had already gotten our positive betas. Wow so much has changed in a year!

We're back home and almost all unpacked. Phew. I'm a bit relived to have a night back in my own bed without having to whisper b/c there is a baby in the closet Plus, I've already informed dh that he is on monitor duty tonight and I'm sleeping in for Mothers Day! I've been up at 7am everyday on vacation since putting Aiden back down with all the noise in the house was impossible. We'll see if there is any chance of getting him back to his good ole sleeping in routine back at home.

My guys keep shifting wake up time earlier and earlier. Think Daddy will handle it tomorrow?

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

Bri-That's exciting about Jayden's rollilng. I am sometimes worried too that Josh might roll onto his belly and sleep like that, especially since he hasn't rolled from belly to back yet. I'm sure they'll be fine, though.

Peachy-How did Aiden sleep when you were away? We are going away for a short trip to see the inlaws in a few weeks and I am a little nervous at how Josh will do in a different setting, especially in a pack'n'play vs a crib. Any tips?

Mirka-So glad to see your post and that things are getting a little better with you. I am so sorry for all the dfficulties that you've been going through, but I am happy that you have some support from your parents. Gregor is beautiful-what great eyes. I hope things continue to improve with dh and that your stress level can decrease. Please take care of yourself. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Maggie- Aiden did fine on the nights that I put him to bed and slept his usual 10pm-7am. The nights that the quasi-babysitter put him to bed he didn't do so well. We had him in a rented crib with our own sheets so I can't answer any questions about the pack n play. We bought his sound machine and followed the same routine as home and it was absolutely fine the nights I put him down. Napping during the daytime in a house with a screaming 1.5 yr old toddler was another story!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day! I put dh on monitor duty last night and slept in a little this morning and then we did brunch with the whole family. I'm exhausted from vacation!

Question for everyone... anyone else having body temperature issues? I am sweating hot all the time. I'm guessing it's just a hormonal thing but it's crazy. Last night I slept with only a sheet and the thermostat at 69 and I was sweating. How long does this go on??

Mirka- i'm so happy to hear from you and I'm SO glad to hear DH is on happy pills right now. I hope that helps some. I know how hard it is caring for a loved one through all of this and you're doing an amazing job. Gregor looks so happy and you look great- you don't need to worry about finding the makeup or hairbrush

Peach- i'm hot all the time but i attribute it to nursing-- is it a side effect of the pills you're taking? Cute pics!

Bri- if they can roll onto their tummys, it's supposedly fine to leave them there to sleep- just leave toys and blankets out of the crib.

Maggie- we've taken dd EVERYWHERE and had her sleep in a bazillion different pack and plays. When we drive somewhere we take an extra pack and play mattress w/ us but we borrow friend's pack and plays when we're away- we usually follow the same routine too and the first night is always hard but after finally giving in to letting her fuss the first night until she falls asleep, she was always fine the rest of naps and bedtimes. (i tried to soothe her to sleep many times the first night but it never worked until i just left her alone and let her fuss for 10 or so minutes...) Good luck!

dd and ty were up at the same time last night and dh actually had to get up for the first time in the middle of the night. This am he was talking how it was his worst night of sleep ever-- and that was the only time he was out of bed... Welcome to my nights, honey-- only times the wakeups by 3-4 or so...

Robin - Let's hope those swimmers are getting comfy in there! When do you take your boat out of storage? It's pretty warm here all the time now.

Anyone have any fun new activities for the little ones? Aiden is loving his playmat for rolling and starting to get into his jumper. I still have to go get an exercauser. I finally switched to the medium flow nipples and then we'll start the oatmeal soon. Can't decide whether to do the oatmeal first or the sleeping with both hands out of the swaddle. Baby steps...

peach- i picked up the rainforest jumperoo from craig's list over the weekend. Ty loves the lights and sounds but doesn't jump too much yet. He still likes his exersaucer best- he swats the toys and has figured out how to rotate in it. let us know which step you decide to try first

just an update here - alex is sick he has cough... poor guy... his 4 months appointment is tomorrow

peachy - the boat is ready to go, but the gas is super expensive... approaching $5 per gallon at the lake... we have a 60 gallon tank that only lasts us 2 days

Good idea with the craig's list Cat. My "issues" SIL has both an exercauser and a jumperoo. Now I'm sure it will only take me about 2 weeks for her to set a date that I can come pick them up even though we are 2 miles apart. This is usually the story. I think Aiden is ready for something new. We've got this one now. He doesn't jump much it in either but he does turn around and will walk towards you to reach you.

We posted together Robin! Sorry Alex is sick Is it a cold? How is he doing with the napping and daycare? Do they have him on a routine now? I didn't think about gas with the boat. Yuck. You're right we used to run through gas on our boat too. When are we getting a new president again?

Peach~ I saw your post about letting Aiden sleep with his hands out of the swaddle. I am going to try Emily out of the Miracle Blanket this weekend. She is getting out of it almost every night now so I think it's time. I am leaving her arms out of the swaddle for her naps during the day and hoping she is getting used to it. I am scared to death that she's going to start waking up again!!! What did you switch to after the MB? I think I'll just go cold turkey!

actually, we are staying home today... alex is taking a nap and i had to deal with the builder (4 months walk through)... as soon as Alex wakes up, we are going for a walk... it's so nice out...
i am watching Brining Home Baby and reading A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Borroughs... not a good combination
