Robin - Let us know how Alex likes the Marathon. I've heard they like the next stage car seat much more and Aiden still isn't thrilled with the infant one.

Gina - We've been doing one hand in and one hand out and alternating hands. Kind of weird I know. I do it with the sleep sack swaddle. He had both hands out a few times with the babysitter on vacation and would still put himself back to sleep so I'm hoping it's safe now. He still fights going down for a nap so we'll usually put one hand in the blanket swaddle for those too. But, if I'm walking with him in the bassinett part of the stroller, he'll fall asleep completely sprawled. Who knows. I think we're going to start tomorrow night. Let me know how it goes on your end!

Poor little man At least the Marathon cheered him up. Maybe he needs some new clothes as a pick me up! Is there anything you can do for his cough? I guess you're going to ask the Ped. tomorrow. Any guesses on his weight??

MM - We see you down there!! How's Reid doing with the separation problems?

Robin- Sorry to hear that Alex is sick! Hope that he feels better soon.

Cat- I bought the car seat that I told you about, and Jayden loves it though it is rather large!

Peachy- We have the exersaucer and he loves it. He only stays it in for short periods of time, but he likes it.

Would have been on earlier but dd had testing done this morning and ds had his entire schedule thrown off the whole day so he was a handfull!

Robin, Ty's also sick. They actually sent me home w/ a nebulizer because apparantely he's wheezing... fun, fun, fun. I just ordered the sunshine radian and hopefully it'll be in soon. We definately need out of the infant seat. I'm just nursing Ty all the time to help him through this cold (basically at least every 2 hours) and then when he's better will work on sleeping thru the night again. the dr recommended having him sleep in his carrier but he really doesn't like that for long stretches.

peach- bug sil until she says you can come today to get the exersaucer and jumperoo.

bri- glad Jayden likes the carseat!

wait, why would reid being having separation problems? did i miss a post by MM? Hope all is okay!

Peach~ I'll let you know how Friday night goes! Let me know how it goes for you too! So far today she has cried for every nap. I put her down for her 3rd nap and she cried for 1/2 hour! I hate it! I know it's what's best for her though and she has to get used to napping in her crib. I just can't stand to hear her cry! It's so sad. I have been leaving both arms out though for naps and she seems to do ok.

Cat - MM has abandoned us She posted in the post pregnancy thread about Reid having some separation freak outs. Oh, and I went to SILs today and got the toys. Aiden loved the execauser for about 10 mins and then got overwhelmed by all the options! I had to listen to SIL complain about how she's dissy but hasn;t eaten either. Small price to pay for my little one's development...

Gina - Tonight is the big hands free night here we're still rocking him into sleep for naps and then he naps in the swing. One step at a time!

So many colds around here! Havana's Matteous has his second fever right now after getting shots yesterday...

I can't tell if my little guys are teething or a delayed reaction to shots last Tuesday. Has anyone had their little ones start being really cranky 3 days after a shot? Now they seem to be really napping too little and not content when they're up. I'm so tired from juggling them all day and hubby is too impatient to help at night. He holds one for a few minutes then asks me what he should do with them. Beats me I'm guessing all day. They're only happy in the car but gas is up to 4.05 for regular here.

Hey Ladies!!!

Its been SO long since I've posted, but I just wanted to drop in and say hi to everyone and to tell you that I hope you and your babies are all doing well! I was thinking today about this time last year and I was reminded how important this board and all of you were to me, so I wanted to make sure you know that I still think of you often!!!

It seems there is so much going on with each of you! Can't believe how time flies and things change! I hope you each had a great Mother's Day and were able to relax a little. Things here are good...we are so blessed to have healthy, happy girls. Amazing what a difference a year makes. Ok, I'm gonna cry if I don't stop typing, but just wanted to say hi!

I'll check in more often! Love and blessings to all of you!

Peach~ Waiting to hear how last night went!!! Emily got herself out of the blanket again and woke up at 5. I let her fuss for about 20 minutes and then went in and re-swaddled her. She fell back to sleep and I woke her up at 7. I would have let her go and not reswaddled but DH had to get up for work at 7 so I didn't want her to fuss for too long. I see what we have to look forward to this weekend though.

Sorry had an early start over here so I've been pre-cleaning for the cleaning crew tomorrow. I feel like you can't even see the floor with all these baby toys everywher! Between the play mat, bouncer, exercauser, and jumperoo my living room looks like how I would envision Gymboree!!

Robin - I'm calling it right now... future NFL player! OMG I can't believe he is almost 20 lbs. It's going to be so cute when you and Irina have this petite little girl next

Joy - We miss you! I haven't been on your blog in forever but glad to hear everyone is doing well. I can only imagine how busy you are with 3!

Lynn - We only had fussiness once with the shots and that was only that day. Now, Aiden does get extremely fussy if we stay home all day. He doesn't love the car but he does like getting out and just changing the scenery. Maybe it's the same with your boys? Are they better if you get them out for a walk?

Here's the update on our eventful night. Aiden went down pretty easy even with both hands free and stayed right where I put him in the crib for the first 6 hours. He woke up around 3am and would fuss for a few minutes, then be quiet, then fuss, over and over for an hour. I did see on the monitor that he was trying to roll but was too close to the bumper. Finally he just started howling crying around 4am so I had to go in. He became really hysterical when he figured out I didn't have a bottle and he'd only be getting the paci (just a warning Gina) but he went back to bed around 4:45am and I made sure to put him in the middle of the crib even though he likes to sleep snuggled next to the bumper. Not 10 mins later I hear him fussing again and I'm thinking oh no not again.... but, he quickly rolled over. Stayed alert for about 5 mins on his tummy where I could see him kicking and lifting his head and then he was very still. Of course, I'm totally freaking out now that he is going to die and when I go to check on him in the morning he won't be moving. But, he woke up at his normal time around 8am happy as can be and me very relieved to see he survived. Guess I've got a tummy sleeper from here on out!

Gina, it's definitely a work in progress. Hopefully tonight he'll just flip himself over at some point and go back to sleep. I did feel better knowing I had seen him roll in both directions several times during the day and he could flip back to his back if he was desperate. So, I don't know if you want to wait it out a little longer. In the past, I had seen him CIO and go back to sleep on his back but he's obsessed with being on his stomach all the time lately and I guess that means sleep too.

I know we're going to have to get him out of his swing soon for his naps. Does everyone let their babies nap in the crib? I know this sounds weird but I'm wondering if Aiden will be confused since he normally goes in the crib only at night. I definitely don't want to effect his sleeping at night and him thinking that's only a nap! Should I put him down for naps in the pack and play or am I reading too much into this? Right now most of his naps are 45 mins and then he's awake for 1.5-2hrs but everyone keeps telling me they will start consolidating naps soon for a longer more predictable nap but I don't know if he would do that in the swing. All these questions all the time!

Quiet day over here...

Well, I put Aiden down to sleep hands free again tonight. He was COMPLETELY out and usually stays in the exact position you put him for at least 6 hours. Not tonight! As soon as I put him down, he immediately rolled onto his tummy and woke right up. Hmm. But, I left him alone and he put himself back to sleep on his stomach. Interesting changes over here
