Just wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th of July. We've got an annual tradition of getting a hotel room next to the fireworks. It's our fourth year. Can't wait to see Aiden's face with the fireworks... although I'm sure he'll be less than thrilled about staying up past his bedtime

Mirka~ Thank you for the lovely message. I gave Cian a great big kiss and hug from you.....thank you for the support. He is doing so well, the surgeon and other staff are very impressed with his leaps and bounds. Matter of fact they are letting us go back to Guam next week!

Hope everyone had a fun holiday weekend with their little ones! Aiden amazingly stayed up and watched the entire fireworks show just amazed and staring at all the colors. Then, he totally crashed and even slept till 8:30am at the hotel in a strange crib

I spent this morning in the ER. Yep, I finally caved Cat. The pain got really bad again last night and kept me from sleeping much and is just scary. So, I went to the ER as soon as we checked out from the hotel and my doc. brother met me there a couple of hours into my visit. It was nice having him there since dh stayed home with Aiden. Plus, he said if he hadn't been there I definitely would have gotten admitted and I would have been there for at least a day to get all these tests done. I had an iv, oxygen, chest x-ray, ekg, echo of my heart, tons of vials of blood, and lots of other fun stuff. The good news is there isn't fluid around my heart. The bad news is there is fluid around my lung and that is causing the inflammations and pain. I've got some painkillers to take tonight (just put Aiden to bed) and 2400mg of ibuprofen daily to try to get the swelling down. Crazy. Oh, and on top of all this, Aiden got his first tooth today! Razor sharp on the bottom. He's been fussy so I had a feeling it was any day now.

Oh no Peachy, 4th of July in the ER. What you must have seen. Our boys love fireworks, we took them tonight to a show in a field by us. They also had their first birthday party for a friend at a farm today. Pete and I definetly got more of a kick out of it than they did. Peachy and Mirka, you have no idea what people pay to have their kids paryy " at the farm " around here. I dressed them in plaid shirts and short overalls, I'm the biggest cornball going. Happy 4th weekend everyone

I'm another January Due Dater! January 5th. Congrats to all. My morning sickness has started to eazy as well as my nausea. I do get little cramps here and there. Sometimes I have this feeling of having to pee all the time.

Peachy - sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope the pain meds will help. Do they know what is causing the fluid around your lung? How's Aiden doing with his new tooth?

Lynn - The boys are having so much fun at the birthday party! Sure you don't want to bring them down to Georgia to a real farm?? We have lots of room and we can pick fresh berries now... oh and we have a John Deere hayride with the tractor pull

I'm still recovering over here. Thankfully, dh is off tomorrow so I'll have an extra hand. Still having trouble breathing but the vicodin was a blessing to finally get a little sleep. Aiden is doing much better with his little tooth today other than sticking his tongue out all day long to play with it!

Does anyone have any recommendations on a beach tent or cabana? We're going away in a couple of weeks and I'd like to get one for Josh (preferably big enough to hold an adult, too). Nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh?

Peachy-hope you're feeling better. Isn't it crazy how sharp those little teeth are?

Josh has started sitting really well, and yesterday pushed up on his hands and knees and started rocking back and forth. I am thinking I should probably start babyproofing soon.

Oh Peachy, you my poor thing! How this can get fixed?? Just with painkillers? And how that fluid can get there?? Somebody need to fix you!
Hmmmm....Aiden has first tooth!...here nothing yet and I am checking it every day and I dont see and I dont feel....
we have to wait longer I guess! For how long was Aiden fussy before tooth got out???

Cat, finally I put crib and playpan down, I mean mattresses in it. It got really dangerous lately. How are you doing Cat?? Something new?? Or some new pictures?

Maggie, yes, very soon they will do not want us to hold them anymore, they will be everywhere and inside of everything....

Mirka - Aiden has been super fussy all week. He got 2 shots on Monday so I thought maybe that was it and has been drooling everywhere. The tooth showed up on Friday and it looks like there is another one right behind it. He wouldn't take his first morning bottle on Friday which is unheard of and then I saw the tooth. Hopefully, he'll settle down a little. He's still being fussier than normal. For me, I'm hoping all these medicines will kick in by the end of the week and get me better!

Maggie - Aiden's been rocking like that for over a week now but still rarely any forward moment. Does great turning around to find toys and moving backwards. You might still have some time for baby proofing. I can see outlet covers in all of our futures soon! I know Robin got one of those beach tents.

maggie- are you driving or flying? we flew w/ dd at this age and just got a little beach tent that folds well so it can go in the suitcase. it worked and i was able to sit in it and feed her... i plan on using the same thing for ty at the beach in a month. i also recommend a little blow-up baby pool from walmart for $5 that you can put baby in for a little bit- then you don't have to worry about any sand eating...

mirka- good job lowering the crib & pack and play!

nothing new over here- other than watching dd and ty playing together. they are awfully cute. dd wants him to sleep w/ her in her bed... I let her lay down w/ him for 5-10 minutes and then tell her he has to go to his crib.

Cat- What is the beach tent called? I looked at walmart and they didn't have any little pools left.

Peachy-Sounds like Aiden is a mover and full of energy. Good for him. Hope he isn't too bothered by the teething.

So Josh is starting daycare tomorrow (Tues) and I am still up b/c I am a little nervous about it. He is going to a home daycare and the lady is very nice, but I am still having some trouble settling myself down tonight (isn't it supposed to be the babies with the sleep troubles, not the moms??). I am sure he'll be fine, I just have to get through the first day. He'll only be there 2 days per week. Ok, off to bed for me.

Alex got 2 more teeth with another one almost out we had fun in TN, Alex LOVED sleeping on a big bed at the hotel and loved the fireworks... they scared him at first, but were so colorfull that he couldn't stop staring at them...
