Bri-That sounds like you had a stressful night. Hope Jayden is doing better.

Peachy-Great pics. Glad to hear Cooper did well insurgery. That stinks about your mom. How come she can do a full day for your db and only 2 hrs for you? (sorry, some of my own family favoritism stuff coming in there) I am scared of giving Josh finger food-he only has 2 bottom teeth. How many does Aiden have? Do you think it would be ok to try?

Hi Cat and Robin.

Lin-Your boys are definately looking more alike these days. Cute pics.

My MIL is here visiting for the week and she is bugging me. She started reminding me of the time and told me when I should give Josh his bottle-uh, I think I know his schedule, thanks. A million other little irritating things, but it's only for a little while, I should be glad she loves Josh so much, I guess.

Lin, again, very nice pictures. And now I cant even tell who one is that chubby one, they look same to me.

Hi Kathy! I was hoping for another Mira's picture!

Hi Gina!

Peachy and Cat, I would go visit both of you if I would have chance! But I cant, dh is not taking care of anything, poor dogs, I would be sorry for them. And I cant ask 75 year old neighbor for help with cows, he has enough of his own. And maybe I will have to go to Czech, visit my dad, he will have surgery, I think they will take his one kidney, when he was here he got very sick, lost 17lb in 3 days, he looked like he is dying, emergency doc sent him for cat scan, all this happened on end of May, they did find tumor bigger than kidney, so maybe I will need neighbor's help for later. I have to apply for Gregor's passport as soon as possible.
Peachy, you look so good on that picture, you dont need any more lbs down!
Gregor is that early sleeper (6.30pm to 7am) and than morning we go out water garden and he loves to watch water so he is on stroller in front of shower and watch me take shower, that is mine solution here........
You asked if that is weird with your mom......well, I am more surprised that your mom doesnot feel weird, she must know that you will compare it.
Oh, Cooper, I hope they did give you lots of medicine, so you can rest nicely, sleep good and maybe have some good dream about your mom who will pick you up tomorrow and will give you many many kisses!!!! I am thinking about you too...

Robin, so when is that date when they will tell you, you are going to have two more boys?? I would like to mark it in my calendar......

Hi Maggie!
Dont worry and try to give to Josh some food. Gregor was chewing very nicely food with no any teeth in last 2 months. Try vanilla wafers, they were Gregors favorites, but because they are so sweet, I let him have just 2 max/day. But they are easy for chewing, disolving fast. Or try pieces of pasta, or bread with little cream cheese for moister. I am sure he will love it!!!

Mirka - You are too cute!! I hope Cooper is getting good drugs too The surgeon told me to put a t-shirt on him when he comes home so he won't bother all the stiches since he hates those plastic cones. I'll have to take a picture if I do it. I hope your father will be ok after the surgery. Does Gregor have to have a passport at this early of an age? I have no idea. I hope you are able to go home and visit. Start cooking the old neighbor cookies! Want me to send them some wine?! That sounds like a fun way to shower outdoors.

Maggie - I'm sorry about the MIL frustrations. How long is she staying for? Take lots of pictures for the baby book.

Gina - Hmmm. Choking isn't a good thing so try again in a few weeks. We definitely have the most success with the teething cookies broken in half. I gave Aiden sections of an apricot the other day and he did great but tonight he tried to shove the whole thing in his mouth and I had to drag it out too!

I think I've just resolved that my mom is weird. Something in the family about how since I'm a girl that I can "handle" the mommy duties but db needs more help. It could be b/c he married a live barbie doll with an IQ of 12!! Opps. Did I say that out loud? Hmmm. I think I'm just going to tell Mom never mind and see if I can talk her into babysitting one night a month so we can have a date night again. She hasn't done that in over 2 months and it really only requires her to give Aiden a bottle and a bath and then watch the monitor till we get home. She raised 3 kids so she should be able to do that, right?? Last time 2 months ago, she did ok other than checking on Aiden 3 times in 2 hours by going into the nursery and walking up to the crib even though we have the video monitor and my dad took a picture of Aiden sleeping on his cell phone when he snuck in. Geez those two! Whatever. I'll just keep taking Aiden on my own adventures by myself for fun...

Peachy- Glad to hear Cooper made it.

Thanks everyone for the concern over Jayden. He is doing a lot better though he hates his medicine. He also got used to being held more over the past week so now he is going through withdrawals.

Also, I give Jayden the dissolve puffs from Gerber. Those are great and I have even toasted bread and put a little butter and jelly on it which he seems to like. I cut it up into real small pieces. I started these before the two teeth came in.

Ahhh!!! Well, maybe you need an outside shower for when the weather cools off. You could do two things at once

Bri - I'm glad Jayden is feeling a little better. I know it will take a bit to get back into the routine.

Bri, it took the boys an extra 3 days after they were recovered to get back to their old routines of playing and being left down for a bit, good luck.
Peachy- Very funny about your Mom, my MIL does the exact opposite, totally favors her daughter's kid (and soon to be kid) traveling to Boston, Florida and Minnesota to spend time with her, but when she's home where we all live on Long Island, she hardly sees the boys. SIL's girl is 1 year old. Mil tries to convince hubby that it's my fault because I spend so much time with my Mom. I told him I'm going to start keeping track of how often I refuse their help, not how often I see my Mom, (explitive him) Sorry. He's ridiculous sometimes when it comes to his mother.
I have my bet in for a girl/boy twin set for Irina and Robin.
Maggie nice to hear from you.
Mirka- If you could pick the boys up, you'd know who was the chubby one

Lynn - It's definitely funny how parents react to one child versus the other. I think since I'm the oldest I've always tended to be independant and it takes a lot for me to ask for help. Middle brother on the other hand has always been brillant but no common sense and you would have to help him with the small stuff. I think my neice is getting lots of attention also just by being the first grandchild. She's 1.5 so she's walking and talking a few words so she is definitely easier to do things with. But, my Mom started watching her when she was just a few months old and still found things for them to do together I just think she forgets. My SIL's parents bought a second home here in Atlanta this past year so they've been spending lots of time down here helping them too. I think my Mom is almost competitive about spending time with that grandchild now b/c of it. No one to compete with in our side of the family so she's very whatever about it knowing Aiden will never see his other grandparents. I like your concept of keeping track with your MIL!

Robin - I think I've got to vote for boy/girl twins too. Maybe we need a belly pic of Irina so we can see how she's carrying

I spoke to the surgeon this morning and Cooper is doing good. They were going to try to give him a little food this morning and then I can get him in the afternoon! Thanks for all the prayers for my fur baby

wow, i missed a lot and i'm about to leave on vacation.

lets see-- Peach SOOOOOO happy to hear about cooper

mirka, good luck getting the passport! i'm sorry to hear about your dad, i'll keep him in my thoughts.

Lynn- dh is always asking me "is it okay if i go do this? You can call my mom to help"... yeah, go do that but i will NOT be calling your mom....

peach- sleep book says morning nap disappears for some kids after 1... dd took morning nap till almost 2.
ty is VERY tactile, loves stroking all sorts of material- couch, my hair, toys, sheet... so i sometimes give him a little baby washcloth to hold at naptime and he strokes that along his face-- best part is its very washable

maggie- thank goodness its only a week...

hi MM!

gina- i was reading the back of one of the gerber finger foods and it said when baby's crawling, sometime around 10 months... so i wouldn't worry if emily's not ready yet!

bri- glad to hear that jayden's doing better.

robin- lol, 2 more boys would give you quite a sports team! If you have two boys this time, Irina's going to want to try again for a girl You might both be pushing triplet strollers

You're so cute Mirka.
I'm watching dancing socks on Sesame Street, and actually finding it a little cute and entertaining.
Dh's brother came over last night, I didn't expect him but hubby did. He offered to take the boys for a walk. It was already after 8 but I figured how long could they be gone. He got back (dh went with him) after 9 and both boys were asleep but they needed to be changed and by the way their feet were freezing. After that little siesta it took Nicholas till 11:30 (with an extra bottle) to fall back asleep. Why am I the one who got to handle hubby's screw up while he sat on the couch to watch tv? Just venting, I think hubby goes up and down on the immature meter. He usually drives me nuts. I get so jealous when I hear about competent Dads.

Peachy- I think SIL's little girl also gets more attention because SIL has no child rearing experience and MIL thought it was her opportunity to be helpful to daughter who is very smart, pretty and confident and hasn't needed Mom's help for a long time. Way over psychoanalyzing. My Mom thinks- and gets this- That the in-laws want to get in good with that daughter and son in law because he is an orthopedic surgeon and he'll be very wealthy and he'll take care of them for the rest of their life. Can you see where I get the psch tendencies? Same thing though, they've been helping her since the baby was born but when my guys were little they flew down to FL. They seem like they are willing to play with my kids but they won't make any changes to their plans to fit them in. Of course our neices will always do things first, but there was a time when they were little like our sons, right?

Everyone around here is so cute with my fur baby!! Yes. Cooper made it home last night. The scar for the cancer tumor is much worse than anything I had anticipated. It has about 15 staples and is swollen pretty bad. He's on the same painkillers that I was after my surgeries and a sedative It took 3 different t-shirts to find something that would work so his scars are covered and he doesn't have to wear the cone head. Here was the final result. It was a joke t-shirt that dh had bought at one point for a hawaiian thing but it has buttons which makes it much easier to get on and off.

Lynn - It's really hard not to analyze these situations. My mom took my neice to the aquarium yesterday. I know Aiden wouldn't understand everything but he would love doing that even if he is little. My ILs have made no attempt or even mention of coming down here to see Aiden. I know they have gone to Florida at least once since we've had Aiden to see their other grandchildren which means they go right by us. They are totally weird though. I'm not sure I would even want them here and they just stress dh out and make no attempt to speak English in my house. I'm very jealous of people with involved dh's too. I do know one of my friends dh was probably the worst one ever when she had her baby (he would volunteer for out of town projects to get away) but now that her son is 2.5 he is much more involved. Maybe there is hope for us.

Here is a picture of me and Cooper late last night (excuse my outfit!) and Aiden with his sippy cup and crawling around:
