Shelly - Robin posted in the After Fertility thread. 1 boy and 1 Girl. So exciting! I'm still making my own food but when I do use the Earth's Best then I use the stage 2. I'll give Aiden a full 2.5oz jar of fruit at each feeding and then he'll eat another 1/2 jar (about 1 oz) of either a meat or a veggie. His first morning snack is always his biggest since he'll eat all of that plus another 1/2 of a container of Gerber Organic Prunes. I don't make prunes Oh, and he'll eat some cookies or puffs while I'm cleaning everything up too. No idea how much is right either. No one really tells us this stuff but Aiden will clamp his mouth shut once he is full.

Robin - Another huge horray for the big news today!! So much fun!

Bri - Dre posted in the other thread today

Peachy- I read her post...so sad.

Robin- Yeah, I got it right. You'll be buying pink this time around as well...

Jayden gets fruit/cereal stage 3 in the am along with 5 oz of milk, 8 oz at lunch, 6 oz of juice in the afternoon with the gerber wheels and or puffs, stage 3 dinner combo with fruit on the side along with 5 oz of milk at dinner and 8 oz of milk with cereal mixed in at night prior to bed time.

We've got tons of pulling up on everything going on over here. It is funny the watch. He'll crawl around the excersaucer on the floor and reach up to play with all the toys. He puts both his legs beneath him and then bounces up and down on his knees. It is humorous! Whenever his does get to standing, he starts screaming like a little chimp and looking at your b/c he is so excited! I'm taking him to one of those crawling gyms this afternoon to check it out. Still no more teeth.... but lots of runny nose... mysteries...

Robin- Congrats on the b/g twins! I thought I might be right. Two more girls in addition to you and Irina would have been kinda rough on Alex though so I am glad there is a boy in the mix. I feel sorry for DH sometimes, especially when I think about what he has to deal with in the years to come with all those horomones that will be flying around our house!

Congrats Robin and Irina! You are very lucky to be having one of each!

Thanks for the advice on the baby food. I guess I'm doing the right thing. She still seems hungry when she's down to the last bite but doesn't fuss when she doesn't get anymore. She really never seems to stop by herself...so I guess she's never really getting full!

Congratulation Robin and Irina, the best of both worlds.
My doctor gave us this whole feeding plan but it seemed like a little too much to me but I'll pass it along.
Wake bottle
9-10 cereal and fruit
12 bottle
2 veggie and fruit
4 bottle
6 dinner veggie/fruit or meat (I still haven't given them meat)
8 bottle
I know she was thinking a jar of each for each but they just don't eat that much. Ususally a jar of fruit with cereal makes it for the 2 of them in the morning, then at other meals they're splitting 2 jars between them. Does this doctor realize that they nap, and I have to do other things than feed (and subsequently change them for that matter)? Some days the schedule looks a little like that then other days meals are missed by one or the other because they sleep through it then when they're up it's bottle time again
Poor Nicholas still doesn't crawl around at all, I watch Evan having so much fun rolling and scooting all over and Nicholas just sits and watches him, he looks so bored. The problem seems to me that he is heavier than his arms can comfortably push up. He is so patient though, so we tend to sit him up rather then upset him and put him on his belly, I gotta work on that.

Lynn - our schedule is close to what your doctor recommends and it does seem tough to get out some days with a clear block of time! Any idea when we start combining bottles and solids at the same time? I keep thinking maybe as the lunch feeding at some point. This is our typical day lately.
7:45am wake & bottle
9:15 nap
10:30ish awake & snack
12pm bottle
1pm nap
2:30ish awake & snack
4pm bottle
5pm nap
6:30 awake & snack
7:45 bottle
8:45 crib .... hopefully asleep soon after

Usually if I want to get out then I'll take either the noon or 4pm bottle with me and do the snack at home since that is messier. Do you think Nicholas would like a walker? Aiden really likes his and it definitely didn't hamper him starting to crawl. We just made sure he spent some time on the floor too so he had an opportunity to practice. We have the sesame street walker from Target and we've been happy with it and Aiden will eat his snacks like puffs or teething biscuits in there too.

Lynn- My pediatrition said that some premies don't like being on their stomachs....mine is one of them. Jayden is scooting forward and backward, but not pulling up on anything yet. He can sit by himself for several minutes. Our little ones will get the hang of things. Also have had to start watching him in the exersaucer, as he almost has flipped out of it several times. Also, Jayden eats a half of the large jars of food. More than that and he throws up.

Thanks for the tips, I do think the boys would both love a walker. That's on the to do list now for the weekend. Funny you should mention combining bottle with lunch, I tried that today and it seemed to work well and gave me a bigger window to take them out. I made it my mission to have Nicholas spend time on the floor today and so far so good, at least he's rolling and pushing his chest off the floor. I brought them to the doctor today to appease grandma and he said surprise surprise, it's just a cold and they're fine. I wonder if I should tell hubby I had to fish a peice of dog food out of Evan's mouth today. We alsao have to buy a gate.
I'm sure others have thought of this but a jar of unsweetened applesauce is the same as baby food and is a whole lot cheaper

I've been bf'ing after lunch and it works really well for us. It is nice to have a larger window where you don't have to worry about eating and I think it helps him to sleep longer. I hope they feel better soon! Poor things!

Lynn - You know me... I want details So, did you combine the noon bottle with the 2pm snack? Does that mean the boys didn't eat anything from 12pm till their 4pm bottle? Were they ok with going that long? Ok, one more... did you do the bottle first or the snack or just let them sip on the bottle during their snack? I've got three more weeks left of this slow weaning of Aiden from Alimentum to all soy formula and then I'm going to try switching it up over here too! I feel like I am constantly fishing things out of Aiden's mouth that he finds crawling on the floor. I need to do some swiffering There are some walker that I've seen online that fold down which might have been a nice option to be able to take it with us to Grandmas.

Have a great weekend everyone!
