Aiden had his first matzah ball last night and seemed to be a fan! I'm going to give him more of the yummy Jewish stuff today. Too bad he can't do honey yet. This is the big apples & honey holiday to symbolize a happy new year.

Robin - I just sent you an email. Hope you don't mind but it was an interesting article that was emailed to me this morning about your company.

Oh Robin, we feel your pain. Pete works for Washington Mutual and he's been up and down all summer. As far as he knows he still has a job for now, he'll see how it plays out because apparently Chase has enough branches out here and will be closing some WaMus but he's hopeful. He's been on Monster a lot. Good luck to you both.

Peachy, so sorry he's still suffering, he boys finally seem to be all cured of any stuffiness and today we were supposed to have a sing along at out house. One of the moms mericfully called to tell me her boys were sick so we met at the park out in the open where no germs could be spread. I'm very hopeful that I can keep them healthy until we go to Florida in November. I'm not letting them get any shots till were back.

Uh Oh Robin. I just heard that now our bank is being bought by Wells Fargo?? This is the weirdest week ever for banks. Maybe it's good news for you since they don't have a large presence around here and might keep more positions around. I've got fingers crossed for all of our banking buddies in here.

We are really struggling with Aiden still being sick. We went back to the Ped again yesterday. He has had a fever for a week straight now. The Ped. had us not give him Motrin or Tylenol for 24 hrs to see how high the fever would go. He hit 101 once yesterday but has mostly been hovering around 100. The Ped is trying to figure out if he needs to do blood work and a chest xray at the childrens hospital. Urgh. I'm at a loss. I just want my son better already.

Yes, this is a crazy time for banks! My husband works at a bank, but it looks ok so far. They did say that they may be moving a bunch of jobs to NY, which would not be good. I don't think that's anytime soon, though, but you never know these days! Robin I hope everything goes well for you and Irina and your positions.

Peachy-I'm surprised they haven't found out what's going on with Aiden yet. I hope they figure it out soon so he (and you) can feel better. Did they end up doing the blood tests and X-Ray?

Turns out my FET is postponed by one month. The nurse at my RE "forgot" to order my meds and unfortunately my insurance requires them to be from a specific mail-order pharmacy, so I am out of luck. The meds are on their way, but the transfer will be early/mid November now.

Maggie - so sorry the nurse got the meds mixed up! urgh. Guess you'll be incubating just in time for some yummy turkey dinner!

Robin - Looks like your bank is in high demand over there! At least you'll have something to talk about for a while around the coffee machine. How's Irina feeling these days? Are you working on the twins nursery yet?

I don't want to jinx myself so let's just say I see some improvement in the cold arena with Aiden. I've got a little extra of the antibiotic and I'm keeping him on it till the very last drop! Poor guy. I just postponed his 9 month checkup again b/c I don't want to give him shots and the flu vaccine while he is still sick. But, the fever is finally better this weekend so I think we've avoided the hospital. I'm just afraid of what will happen once we finish the antibiotic this round. I took him to a fun arts festival yesterday that had all these wonderful kiddie activities with lots of food and jazz bands. Great way to spend the day! I was tempted to get his cheek face painted but figured we could wait till next year for that one.

Peachy- I am glad to hear things are turning around for Aiden. Hope he's all better soon.

By the way, The Children's Place is having a pretty good sale. They are also giving $15 off coupons when you buy something, FYI. I got a bunch of cute outfits for Josh.

Peachy, I can't believe poor Aiden is still sick. Nicholas has already come down with a new cold since recovering from the one they started together. How many doses do they need of the flu shot? My doctor doesn't push it so I probably will skip it but I'm going to have to start keeping them away from kids a little more

I'm pretty sure it's 2 doses of the flu vaccine and they are a month apart. I know my ped. started asking us about it in September and my ped. has a special thimersol free version.

Well, we have 2 out of the 4 teeth through the gum on the top. I'm sure that hasn't been helping with the mood either! What a month around here. Maybe when these last two finally break through the top the runny nose will stop although my Ped. swears that is an urban legend

Maggie - Thanks for the sale tips! I know gymboree was doing a gym buck event too. Oh, and the socks at childrens place actually stayed on Aiden's feet for more than 5 mins of crawling! I just tried them last week since it's starting to get cooler around here.

Robin - I was in your bank today and my local crew is pulling for Wells as their new boss. Thinking of you!

OMG!!! Alex is adorable!! He is going to be a huge hit for Halloween. If I remember right, your new neighborhood is very child friendly too! What a cutie! Is he walking? I seem him standing on his own.

I hope it cools off here for Halloween. It's still pretty warm at night so we had to avoid the hooded costumes. Everyone over here better post pictures of their little ones in costumes. I can't wait!

BTW, I think the stupid daylight savings time is Halloween weekend this year. Anyone hear any good advice about what to do with the babies and sleeping times etc. with a time change? Aiden usually wakes at 7:45am everyday and I gotta say that 6:45am just doesn't sound so good to me with a hubby that works nights

Peachy - the gragon costume is very light, Alex was in it for about an hour @ 75F and didn't even sweat...
as for daylight savings time... hhmm... Alex wakes up at 7am now, 6am doesn't sound good to me either

Good to know about the costume. Hmmm. Oh well. I got Aiden a cowboy costume from gymboree where he just needs to wear a hat so we should be safe. Next year maybe our little ones will pick their own costumes! Lynn, what are the boys going to be?

Maybe we need advice from some of the more senior moms around here... glad I'm not the only one that doesn't want to see the 6 on the clock in the morning! Daylight savings is so silly. I think we're the only country in the world that does it. Why can't we just follow the sun??
