Thank you for starting this thread...I was too chicken to start it (still doesn't seem quite "real" to me yet).
I'm January 8th....2nd u/s tomorrow!

yay! Due date friends!
I am having a real problem right now with "morning" sickness-all day sickness really. I'm going to my dr today for diclectin. No cramps though. You will feel 100 times better once you see the u/s. It is the most amazing thing ever! |

Yeah, I am REALLY looking forward to the 2nd u/s. Even though the 1st u/s went well and they saw a heartbeat, it seems like I want weekly assurance that things are progressing well right now. hahahaha When is your 2nd u/s, lizandted?
Recently I started having "all day sickness" too. It's not debilitating but it's making it very difficult to focus at work...and I don't want to eat ANYTHING. I just want to sip ginger ale, snack on saltines and watch TV. hahaha At least it's a sign that things are going well and it won't last forever! I've been having some weird twinges/cramps too....I know it's most likely fine because there hasn't been any blood but, of course it makes me worry. It's normal to worry, right? ![]() Good luck with your 1st u/s tomorrow, 31yrdino!!! It is going to be a breath taking moment!!

Any of you having a difficult time with your pants? I can't button any of my pants for work so I have them rigged so I don't have to and I wear a short long enough to cover it....I'm just afraid someone will notice! What an embarrassment that would be! hahaha
I know I can't wear maternity clothes yet...any suggestions??

We have our second u/s on the 14th of June. I think I'll be released to my ob then. My family doctor is my ob, so that is perfect. I went to see her today to get diclectin and we had to fill out so much paperwork!
We live in Ontario, Canada, so I'm sure things are very different here than for you two. I totally want weekly u/s too! |

Hi. I am due January 2. I know, the all-say sickness is killing me too, right now. Even the things that are supposed to settle your stomach make me queazy just thinking about them. Hope this feeling doesn't last too much longer.
Boston77-I am having the same pants issues. I use a little hair elastic around the button and through the button hole and then secure it around the button again, so it gives me another inch or so. I tried to buy a size bigger pants but they fit horribly everywhere else. I did find some great pants with an unusually big waist at Old Navy-you could try there.

Hi - Another January due dater here (and another Maggie!)
I'm due January 15. I started having bad waves of nausea too, but I'm coping. Have any of you tried sour hard candy like thos Altoids Sours? They've helped and so has crystallized Ginger. I keep both in my purse! I've also had some strong but quick cramps and just one or two a day. Makes me worry, but no spotting and they aren't continuous, just strong twinges. Anyone else? My 2nd u/s is June 15th and then after that, I get released to my OB/GYN! Crazy madness! Anyway, thanks for starting this thread! It will be fun to compare prego notes and hopefully it'll make the time fly! maggiemay

Boston - Have you gotten a Bella Band yet? I'm having trouble with my pants too - they fit, but buttoning them makes me feel like I'm squishing baby! Anyway, Bella Bands are awesome, they are like a tube top thing for your pants so you can wear them unbuttoned and it's totally smooth. It just looks like you're wearing a little cami underneath your top. Plus, they are super comfy and soft and come in three colors. I have one in each! You can get them online at barenecessities or check at your local maternity boutique. I got the ones with the lace on the bottom -- adorable and total lifesavers! Hope this helps!

Yay!!
I'm so glad we all have each other to compare symptoms. Over the last week or so the nauseau and vomiting has gotten way worse. My doctor put me on diclectin and by playing with the doses I've managed to keep it so I can get through most of my days. I still can't believe so days that this is happening!! |
