Hi there
Just wondering when is acceptable to join you guys on this thread? I had my first beta today (282) which am totally thrilled with and have so many questions for those of you who have successfully gotten to the first u/s etc. I have the say the excitement and sense of anticipation from all of your posts is so infectious and is such an amazing feeling.I was wondering if anyone can give some advice on when it is ok to start exercising again? I delberately choose to give up going to the gym when I started on my stims and of course I also took things really easy during the 2ww. My RE and nurse have actively encouraged I exercise as long as I keep my heart rate below 140 but I wanted to check what your experiences have been or the advice you have been given. Thanks a mill Katie |

jeez, don't be gone for 3 days or you miss a ton. Just checking in quick and see lot of gals
June, so happy about your 2nd beta after the turmoil you went thru. Racheal, congrats on the twins. Hannah-yeah, what an awesome US-I am so happy for you. I bet you are so relieved. I'm glad you posted about the spotting because I woke up with some today, no cramps and was small brown, now seems to have subsided to almost beige clear. I called RE and they tried to reassure me but I am pretty bummed thinking the worst so I wont go into the US too confident on Thursday. CQ-I am glad one of your babes is healthy and doing well, I am sure it is difficult to see the other. Sailor, I came here after my first Beta so yes, you belong here and welcome hi to everybody else, so glad we are growing; and I keep you all in my .

CQ - congrats on a good u/s! i am sorry that there was an empty sack, but very happy to hear there was a healthy full sack!
Katie, welcome! in my 'normal life' i exercise really regularly, but now i'm taking it easy and not doing anything more than light walking, per my RE's instruction, at least for the first trimester. sounds like all doctor's have different opinions on this though. Lisa, spotting is really scary, no matter how common it is. yours sound about like i'd describe mine. really light brown. though ... this morning before my u/s i had about a quarter sized spot of watery pinkish red. it really scared me. but this weekend, and for the rest of today, was just this very light brown. just rest a lot and try not to worry. the nurses and my RE were so casual about it- they were like, it's TOTALLY normal. Jen, i think everyone thought i had more than one! i am relieved ... i had an extensive surgery on my uterus about 18 mo's ago and was told i can't even carry a singleton pregnancy to full-term. i can't expand that much or it could rupture. so twins (and triplets!) would have been scary for me i think. i am SO happy i saw a heartbeat. it feels like a gift. ![]()

Welcome Sailor! Congrats June on second Beta!
CQ, I'm so happy you saw a full sac, but is there still hope for the other one??? Hannah, I've posted on two other threads, but I'm still so excited for you that I'll say it again: Congratulations, girl! on another note, I'm sure the spotting was absolutely terrifying. I'm so glad you got it all cleared up. Lisa, I hope your spotting goes away too. I know it's normal, but to have it happen to ourselves is another thing all together, right? Can't wait for Thursday! Lacy, you're not alone. My husband has politely ignored the fact that I'M PREGNANT! I have to constantly remind him. He's just so 'duh' about the whole thing. I read in my Mayo Clinic book that most partners won't feel connected to the pregnancy until wk 24 when they can feel the movement from touching the belly. Weird, huh? I guess most of the guys just want a 'sure' thing. Ok, my pee is so dark yellow! I'm sure it's from the pre-natal pills. But it's so weird. Also, I read on a medical website the high levels of progesterone can actually put one to sleep! So, that's what has been happening to me? As far as other symptoms, I just feel a slight queasiness all day long. and it's so hard to pick something to eat. I might get something out, only to put it back because I can't fathom eating it. I picked DH from airport yesterday morning. It's so good to have him back home. He bought me some maternity clothes, too! what a sweetie.(of course, I asked for some) but it was too cute. Oh, and I'm so excited to reach the 5 wk mark!!!! |

laurie, you're so sweet ... it feels like my birthday today with all these congratulatory posts. better than a birthday! that's really sweet that your dh brought you maternity clothes. i don't have a lot of experience in the dh department, but i've been in enough long relationships to know that guys tend to not show too much reaction, or get too attached, until it's 'safe'. i suspect that's why you and lacy are getting the reaction you are from your hubby's. they'll come around.

Ha! Laurie, your dh comment is so funny and yet so true! Glad to hear he is home with you now. Hope he did good in picking out some nice outfits.
I am feeling your pain in when it comes to eating....I can't figure out what I want to eat and when I do, the food seems to taste so bland! Ugh!! As far the the queasiness goes I think I feel some every now and then but is so slight to really bother me. I'm dying for some mouth-watering nausea!! ![]() Oh, and the dark yellow pee must be the vitamins cuz I just started noticing that too!! Sailor!!

it's really interesting that so many of us are having a general aversion to eating! i always had this notion that pregnant girls want to eat everything in sight. i read an interesting description of morning sickness today that included this symptom we all have ... ie. an aversion to foods and a general distinterest in eating. so i guess even if we don't have OBVIOUS nausea or throwing up, what we have still constitutes morning sickness. that was news to me.

Has anyone bought any baby clothes?
I know I did. I bought some while 2ww. I just had the best feeling about this cycle and whaddya know? I was right. In the 3 yrs, 9 months of trying, I never bought any before. I bought three different outfits because I just didn't want to leave any of the embies out! lol. I bought one really boy outfit, one girl outfit, and one unisex. They are from france and oh so cute. Gosh, I just can't wait for my u/s. I know it'll be before 6 wks, but I hope we will be able to see heart flutters. Only 3 more days! Last edited by lwiluan : 10-16-2007 at 02:07 AM. |

That is so crazy you bought baby clothes during your 2ww!! You were right on about that good feeling for this cylcle! I can understand that considering how long you guys ttc. You deserve it!
As for myself, considering my age and fibroids, I am just wanting to get past these first 12 wks. ![]()

wow - I miss so much in just one day! hehe
I feel like an outsider looking in ... I have none of you guys symptoms. I feel just like normal. It concerns me - I think I should have some symptoms. I am sure I will feel different in a couple of weeks. I would LOVE to buy maternity clothes, but fear I wont need to for awhile ...??? I will however buy that band thing pretty soon ... just want to wait until heartbeat is seen. I feel so positive about this pregnancy which is wonderful .. but wish I had some signs from my body. I bought a onesy (spelling?) for my DH that said "Daddy's Best Buddy" to tell him I was pregnant! That is the only baby clothes I have bought. I dont plan on it until at least 12 weeks. Honestly I dying to be "showing" already though!!!! I am nervous about my ultrasound this Friday .. it is SO early. I fear my DH will be dissapointed when we cant see anything yet!?!?! But yet I am happy to be able to go so early too. Lacy

Lacy, your mixed feelings about Friday's u/s are valid. I am with you on wanting my dh to see a heartbeat so he can begin to begin to get excited!! Although I'm a bit jealous you are having yours so much earlier than mine!!
If RE's schedule the 1st u/s too early to see a hb, what exactly are they looking for? Are they only looking to rule out ectopic, and to get a head count?
