Laurie-I am praying for your SIL's little ones, I can't imagine how overwhelmed you all must be feeling. Glad you are resting yourself and taking it easy.
Deepa- I would feel the same as you, every little thing is so worrisome. I hope it is something that will resolve on itself, when is your appt?Sarah-glad you are doing ok with the little babes, yes, take it easy....mom and babies come first. Martie-YEAH, I love the pics, glad all went well. Whatz up with keeping us in suspense? tell, tell, tell! next time you are heading up this way, get a hold of me and we'll get together-that would be cool! I love all the pics of everybody's nursery ideas. My folks already bought us the crib and dresser, it looks exactly like the link. Hart Baby Furniture: Cribs and Nursery Furniture I like the color because it is more neutral for years to come since the bed will eventually convert to a double bed. Grits-I bet you had fun buying all of that stuff! I am going to start registering today on line. We picked out most of our big stuff and wrote the #'s down, just need to register and pick out all the little stuff like bottles, bibs, etc. June-congrats on the kicks-it is so amazing isnt it. My DH was shoving a stethescope into my belly the other night trying to hear the heartbeat and little Anthony gave him a big kick right on the stethescope----DH jumped back. that was his first feeling of the kick,. Meredith-glad your scare turned into a yeast infection. I think everybody is doing the glucose testing at this stage of the game. I had my appt yesterday and got a bottle to chug down before my February appt. Speaking of--I had the official results of my US yesterday at my appt and all looks well except my two 5cm fibroids which they will watch closely and give me another full US at 30 weeks. Otherwise, due date got pushed forward to 6-7-8 as baby measuring almost a week ahead.

Here is the crib/furniture we picked out. It is sooo sturdy, solid wood all around...will definitely last until she goes off to college. Infinity Collection - Baby's Dream Furniture
Miranda- Trust me, I definitely have more belly fat than you. I can only feel little tapping every now and then. No big kicks yet. But, soon... Martie- Congrats, another girl! Do you have a name picked out? Lisa- I love the crib you picked out, too. I should check out baby depot, there is one about 1/2 hour from my house. Deepa- The high risk OB will take good care of you- try not to worry too much! Laurie- I am sooo jealous that you get to go to the beach!! It's my favorite thing to do. Of course, the beach is just at the end of my street, but I can't go as it is 34 degrees out. Well, we are going to register for the shower today. I am really dreading it! I hate the way it feels like I am asking for presents. But, DH is pretty much making me go. I got some good tips from the pediatric speech pathologists who work with me. They both said for bottles that Avent, Dr. Brown's and Playtex Natural Latch are the way to go. Hope everyone has a good day! I need to work in a nap so I can stay up and watch the super bowl and root for the home team.

martie, congrats on finding out you are having a girl!!
june - i love that furniture ... i looked at that site when lacy posted it too, but i can't seem to find any prices on there. am i just missing it?? for you girls who aren't feeling full fledged kicking yet - it will start probably at week 22 or 23. that's when it 'kicked' in for me. speaking of, someone is sleeping in this morning so i'm trying to wake him up with some coffee. is that wrong? lol. i'm totally going to be one of those moms who wakes the kid up from their nap just to make sure they are ok.

Hello June mommies!
I'm sorry that I have not been posting lately. I always read and catch up with everyone's news, but end up running out of time to post. I LOVE everyone's nursery ideas! How are you ladies choosing your cribs and furniture? Are you going based on appearance or have you done a bunch of research on safety and other ratings? We just can't decide because the ones that are highly recommended cost twice as much (of course!). I know that they all have to pass US standards for crib safety, but I'm still struggling with the decision. Any guidance you can provide would be great! Hannah, I have poked or rubbed the baby several times to get him/her moving around because it had been a while and I wanted to check. You are not alone! I haven't had to do that today though because he/she is kicking furiously! They're really strong today! Martie, congrats on the baby girl! Our gender u/s is on Thursday and I'm DYING to know! I'm basically just counting down the hours until my appointment. Were you able to tell right away by looking on your own, or did they point it out to you? How hard was it to tell? Miranda, what color did you pick out for the walls in your nursery? We have a neutral theme going with yellow and green animals, but I can't decide on the wall color. Also, is it safe for us to paint or are the fumes a no-no? I can't remember what I had read, but my DH is resistant to me doing it. I think water-based paints are okay, but what do you know about it? Ok, 94 hours and 12 minutes until my u/s... ![]()

Martie, congrats on your little girl! Isn't it great to know???
I just got back from drinking that glucose test drink. Mine wasn't so bad. It was a fair amount, but it was fizzy and I think that made it seem less sweet. But they had to take a lot of blood for all the tests today and that was on a fasted stomach, so the blood was so slow. I think it flowed like mud! I have to go back in two hrs to give some more blood and then I can eat! yay! June, you'll be at the beach real soon. When does it usually warm up over there? Thank you all so much for your prayers regarding Patrick and Edward. Patrick's bleeding has stopped and Edward has had his heart surgery and is doing well. I just hope that they can catch a break, ya know? I can't wait til they can get off the ventilator and breathe on their own. That's the next big hurdle. Kris, looking forward to the full fledge kicks. Mine are more thumps right now. I can't believe it's the end of month 5 for me. Wednesday has me starting wk 21. Time has sure flown by. I remember those times we were still in 1st trimester wishing to be sick! You guys are making me feel so jealous that you can get started on your nurseries. We're still waiting to buy a new house. I just hope I have time to do the decor before we move in. As far as how I've chosen the cribs/furniture. I looked for something that was made in the US and fit the look(simple but sweet) and price I wanted. The cribs I want have two end boards. I know there is a belief that the baby should have a 360 view, but I'm grateful for the covered ends because the light here can be really harsh, so it would provide some shading for the babies. ok, sweet drink is going to my head. Have to lie down... |

when are you guys doing your glucose tests? i just noticed laurie had hers and wondering why they haven't had me do it yet ... is there a set week they like to do it by?
laurie, sounds like the twins are doing well ... i am so glad to hear it. keep us posted. they are definitely in my prayers. i'm like you - between houses- so can't start my nursery either! i can't wait. niki ... i'm so glad you got season 1 of greys! because of the writer's strike and no new episodes, i've been rewatching the previous seasons in order. just finished season 2 tonight, which is easily my favorite. you should try to order season 2 & 3 on amazon.com. they are usually a lot cheaper on there than in the stores. ![]()

hello all my fellow june mommas. Hope your weekens was wonderful!
I painted my nursery this weekend!!! Yea!! I still have some stencil work and touch-ups but overall the paining is done. As far as the fumes...well I opened a window turned on the ceiling fan and painted. I think as long as there is good air flow we should be fine painting. It was exciting to see it starting to come together. makes me want to run out and buy all the rest of the decor right this sec LOL My wall color is a little crazy....its like a celery or medow green. I think it looks great with the curtains I made. I will post pics when I get a little more done ![]() Kris my ob said gluclose 26-28 weeks so I will have a mine late also. Are you planning on moving before the baby arrives??

Hello Ladies
I've been "sick as a dog". I just had an awful head cold which was probably allergies mixed w/sinus pressure. No fever, thank God. Anyway, I spent the whole weekend in my couch watching movies and sleeping. I am working today, but I still feel a little weak. I will try to catch up later with posts, but I just want to congratulate Martie on her little girl.
Also, Laurie, I'm glad they twins are doing better. Kris, my Dr. haven't even mentioned anything about the Glucose test. I guess I will mention it to him in my next appt. Hope everything is well with you all ![]()
