-laurie, that's wonderful news about your nephews. they sure are hard nuts! my for them to totally come out of the woods. also good luck on finding a house. i know how inadequate it makes you feel, esp in your condition now!
-hannah, congs on the glucose test. in my country we don't do all those tests you girls are talking about. i don't know if it's good or bad, but sometimes ignorance is best..ha ha. thanks for the greys tip. i will check them out on amazon.com.
-miranda - painted the nursery? you go girl! you're way ahead of us!
-daysi, sorry about your sickness. hope you're feeling better now, and good luck on finding a good day care. i also run a day care, but in my country things are not as tight as they seem over there. plus, we have lots of relatives and nannies (cheap ones at that) to take care of our children till they're old enough to start school. aren't we lucky?
-lacy and lotus, congs on purchasing that furniture. lacy, it looks wonderful!
-deepa, my for you. while miranda does the pacing, i will pray. everything will be fine.
-miranda, i also started feeling uncomfortable at night. you shd see me changing sleeping positions - i have to get my whole body up 1st. am sure many of you are already there.

deepa and laurie, i'm so sorry you both are having to deal with the added stress of GD. the good thing is that it's manageable, and while you'll miss sweets, we really don't have that long left to wait. does the GD make you feel differently? ie. do you have symptoms of feeling more tired or anything?

miranda, yes you can come stay anytime and we'll go down and take walks (waddles) on the beach. i love living near the ocean. i too feel like an old lady by nightime. when i roll over during sleep, it's a 4 step process. pretty funny when you think about it. are your little darlings kicking away yet?

daysi, i definitely don't think it's too early to get registered for daycare. i know where i live they often have waiting lists for a year or more - isn't that crazy? i signed up awhile ago for mine and it felt very strange. enrolling a child in daycare who is still in my stomach.

lacy, do you know if your furniture will require assembly when it arrives? that is one of my biggest pet peeves with ordering anything online ... i HATE assembling furniture! i will pay twice as much just to get it in one piece. let me know if yours comes that way and maybe i'll make a switch.

ok the rest of you lovely pregnant ladies, i hope you're all doing well and enjoying this great honeymoon period we're in. what week does the 3rd trimester officially start anyway?

Hannah- in my what to expect when your expecting book, it says 23 wks is the start of 7months... the 3rd trimester.. I notice every book is different though, and even some dotors differ by only a week or two... So congrats!! your in the 3rd trimester!!! Can you believe it!!!!

hello June momma's!

I am sorry you have to deal with GD, Deepa and Laurie... only for a few months, then hopefully all will go back to normal....

We will be shopping for cribs and furniture this weekend... scary to think about... and exciting all at once.

I hope everyone is doing great! My Dr. appt. went well, our little baby girl was sticking her tongue out at us in the ultrasound!!! How cute... My OB also said that at 24 weeks is when we will pre register at the hospital... so I got that question answered!

As for the sleeping thing... I get up now often too pee.... it happened in the first trimester and has gone away but now its back!!!! I got up 3 times last night!! I stopped drinking at 7pm to try and avoid it... I have to change positions frequently... the body pillow is def. a savior... although its not easy to just roll over with..... I made the mistake of laying on my back and woke up with my toes tingling and asleep, and then a charlie horse in my calf OUCH!!! LOL, so I am hoping tonight will be better!!!!!

All the furniture comes delivered and put together ... we did have to pay for that option. We got this set from Baby's First Furniture.

Hello ladies! Sorry not been on here for a few days! I have been busy with everything! The morning sickness is not going away, last night no sooner had I finished my last bite well.................. I was running! Dh is good about it, he can normally rub my lower back to stop it but he was trying to hard and rubbed to hard! Poor thing!
A co-worker of Dh's has a son who is 12 months or so and had lots of gently used clothes and offered them to DH. He accepted and brought them all home. I was at first thinking I did not want Jason in hand me downs ( being prissy) but I looked at them all and you can not tell they were used, they are so sweet so I am sure we can/will use some! She brought like 40 outfits and this book that I am loving, called Pregnancy Sucks, what to do when your little miricle is making you miserable! I have been laughing while reading it all morning!
Tomorrow is my 20 week apt ( 2 days early) I am looking forward to it, DH can not go as he is working like a dog and my other big one back to the specialist is next week and again he will not be there! Bummed a little but I get lots of pic's and we are posting them to our website he is building!

You guys are so ahead of us in regestering and getting tours of the hospital, I think we are waiting until 24 weeks for that! We will not be having a baby shower becuase we are to new to the area and do not know anyone! It looks like we will have a post shower when we go back to Houston in September and my mother is having a absent-tee mom baby shower in Colorado with all the people I know there! That should be interesting! So there is no rush in regestering!

Hi Girls,
Well I am finally back..the appt was supposed to be at 3.00pm ET but it took almost 4.30pmET by the time I got done...
My little one was really active then..almost to the point that the u/s technologist got really tired trying to get the correct positions and pics...
Anywyas all that apart, The High Risk DR examined everything and told us it was ntohing to worry about...the dilation was very very mild...at about 1mm and they only consider anything above 4mm to be something to be examined...
I also asked if it can grow bigger..and he said he doesnt think so..
So ...for now..I am out of the high risk "kidney" issue...and only have GD to deal with..Phew..that was a relief..
musthave been Miranda's pacing and all you girls praying..that must have pulled me thru this one..

oops I mean the 7 month starts at 28 wks.....lol 6 month starts at 23wks!! So congrats on 6 months...lol

went to docs yesterday for having what I found out were Braxton Hick contractions. I had tightening feelings around the bottom of my bump that came and go-no pain. He checked my cervix-all was closed tight and no problems. He said this was normal to feel these and said uterus is practicing for the real deal! hope my uterus makes use of the practice and makes labor better!

I can relate to the waddling and 4 step process to change positions-LOL. I wonder what it will be like in two months.

Deepa-I had faith that your baby was going to be okay. I am so happy that your appt went well. Sorry about the GD, but at least is something you can manage with the help of the nutritionist.

Lisa-sorry about BH contractions. I've heard about those here and there, but did the Dr. explain to you why you were having them?

Amber-I do have to go to the bathroom very often now. My baby is putting a lot pressure on my bladder.

(TMI alert) This reminds me of what happened to me last night. I was sitting on the couch with one of my dogs that follows me everywhere I go (She is the baby), and she just sat there and stares at me with those loving puppy eyes, and I just burst out laughing for no reason... I couldn't hold my pee, girls. It was embarassing (my DH was also in the living room). Anyway I was thinking...what if this happen in the office?..I'll sure die of embarassment! Has this happen to any of you?

On the other hand, I got to tell you what happened to my friend pregnant with twins. She went to her regular OB appt Monday, and they found out her Blood pressure was really high. She was admitted immediately, and they gave her some steroids because they were going to take the babies out (she was only 30w 2d). Anyway, her twins were born yesterday. One was 3lbs 4 oz and the other one was 2lbs 4oz. I was really worried at first ( I have to admit...I cried), but they seem to be doing really good given the circumstances. I just had to let you all know. Thank you for listening.

Kris A walk on the Beach sounds wonderful!! I just got back from taking all my kids to school...what a mess, snow...freezing rain and cold cold temps. I would LOVE to put my toes in the sand!!

mustlovedogs okay so the pee thing has happened to me several times....laughing,sneezing, coughing......I joke with my DH that I am going to have to carry undies and pants in my purse as a just in case LOL
sorry to hear about your friends twins. I am glad they are going well. Although 30 weeks is not ideal...it is do-able.

Lisa I think the same thoughts.....if I already get up 4 times a night to pee and take 5 min to get comfy every time I get into bed....what will It be like in 2 months LOL

meremere I also had some cloths passed to me from a friend and will use them. They were all in perfect condition and from wonderful stores. I will also buy new but figure as long as my little ones are looking cute what does it matter.

-hannah, just yesterday i was googling about trimesters to get the actual picture b'se while some pple seem to think that at 20 wks someone is 6 months, i somehow think it's the beginning of the 5th month. i get convused about it!
-meredith, so sorry that you're still having the terrible m/s. it will pass soon. on the brighter side, you don't have to do that much clothes shopping. believe you me, you need the new stuff as well as the hand-me-downs as long as they're in descent condition. at least that frees your $$$ for the purchase of other stuff! plus - you're so lucky to expect 2 baby showers!!
-daysi, the pee thing was so hillarius. don't worry about it - it's very normal!

Deepa- Once again so relieved your appt. went well!!!

Must love Dogs- I sneezed and that happend!!! So now I wear panty liners, because it's not a huge amount, but still enough to be totally embarrased, it happened at work so I had to change underwear and scrub bottoms.. hopefully the panty liner thing works!!!


Ok ladies, I hope everyone is having a great day... I can't imagine how uncomfortable I will be 2 months from now... it takes forever to get comfy for sleep, and the acid reflux is absolutely driving me mad!! I am going to post two baby bump pics.... so here goes!!!
