Laurie, congratulations! It must be an amazing feeling to actually see your little one on an u/s. Do you think your RE will see you next week also when you will be able to hear the hearbeat? Hannah's experience sounds so awesome when she heard hers.

Hannah, mmmh the things I miss, bubble baths are definitely up there, a glass of wine after a long day at work and working out. I feel like a couch potato these days. As I am not socilaizng or working out I have so much more free time on my hands. Thank goodness for tivo! It also gives me time to read the pregnancy books my DH bought me on Sunday afternoon.

Btw my acupuncturist mentioned yesterday that is is ok to do some light exercie after week 8 (recumbant bike or cross trainer but no weights or high impact sport). Dani, Hannah, I would be interseeted to hear what your opinion of that advice is?

Rachel, June, the suppositories seem like a unique experience...I have to say I would trade the PIO for them if I could. I really don't enjoy that injection.

I am really nervous today for some reason about getting my second beta results. I also have a wicked migraine and of course I can't take a triptan (had it soince last night). My RE told me this morning that I could have a large latte and some Tylenol but I am so afraid to take anything at this early stage. Plus I have a really important meeting this morning at work which I have to attend but feel dreadful. I will try and possibly "work from home" this afternoon until the migrane eases up somewhat. Wow and to think that this is only week 4.

It really is amazing to have all of you as a support mechanism...I think my DH is now hooked (one of the first thing he does now when he gets in from work is to log on to see what's new with all of you girls). I just wanted to say thank you all.
Katie

Welcome Janeey, congrats on your . I am like Danielle, haven't bought anything yet, I think maybe after the first trimester or around Christmas, at least, may feel more confident. Haven't bought any maternity clothes but did get some bigger jeans when I was on the DHEA and stims, I was more bloated then then I am now. (I think I peed out a lot of water)

Jen, I haven't had a problem eating either. I eat different thinks then I used to crave but don't get cravings or eat a whole lot.

My spotting stopped. It was never anything too big, pencil eraser amt brwn/tan and gone within day but I won't stop worrying until my US tomorrow. I don't like that spotting business! Hannah, did yours stop yet? It is nerve wrecking.

The last week, My boobs are more sore, bigger and I am more tired so starting to feel more consistent with things. Again, won't be reassured until the US tomorrow.

Hope everybody is feeling well, so glad to see so many gals on the June boards---how exciting.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, folks! I'm glad to hear that other people are experiencing mid-day queasiness just like me!

Laurie - What a great u/s! Congrats on that beautiful white line! BTW - My due date is June 18th (although doc said that might change after they do my first u/s), and I have PCOS (which has caused me to gain weight during this process) - I feel like there are so many things about us that are so similar!

Lotus - sorry you have to wait so long for your u/s too - I thought mine was bad! I feel a little lost - for so long, I've been going to my doctor every other day or so, and now, I don't go for several weeks - it just feels weird!

The biggest thing I miss is SUSHI!!!! I can do without the alcohol, but I really really want some sushi!

And here's a question for you guys: Do you already have names picked out? My DH has had a name for a boy picked out since he was in highschool! And I've had a girl name in mind for years, but now I'm second guessing it. Our potential names are Liam and Aisling (pronounced "Ash-Lynn").

Rachael- I think you kinda steered me toward not wanting the suppositories. I would rather have the injection than the mess I think.

Laurie- I'm with you about missing my old body. I mean, I have these great hooters from the massive weight gain of IVF but I'd give those back to get my old tummy back. I have gained between 25 and 30 lbs. since our journey started. I am 5'8" and now weigh a whopping 175 lbs!!! Holy S@#% I'm huge!!! I feel really vulnerable having shared that now.

I also miss coffee. I was a complete coffee nut before I got pg. We walked into Target yesterday. They have a Starbucks in there. I thought I was gonna lose it!! It smelled so darn good. I just want a cup. Just one cup. MMMMMMMMM......

2 more days til U/S. I'm counting down.

Janeey...for some reason I missed your initial post! I love the names you and your DH chose...do you mind me asking whether you're Irish as both names are traditional Irish names (Liam is Irish for William and Aisling means beautiful dream)? I am Irish but live in the US and speak Irish fluently.

Good eye in spotting the Irish names, Katie! My husband's Grandparents came over from Ireland, and his Grandfather went back to live there in his later years (he became a priest after his wife died - not many people can claim to have a priest for a grandfather!). So, we've visited family there (beautiful country), and DH is really into his Irish heritage. Personally, I'm a mutt - my family's been in the U.S. a long time, so we're a mixture, but I've fallen in love with Ireland - a beautiful country with such friendly people! So, we're trying to stick with Celtic names, but it's not a must... My concern with Aisling is that she would constantly have to correct people on how to pronounce her name (when people read it here in the U.S., they say "A-sling").

Katie, how long have you been in the U.S.? And since you're Irish, maybe you can help me. When I've heard the name in movies, it's pronounced "Ash-lynn" - it also says that on most of the name websites. But I knew someone from Ireland who was named Aisling, and she pronounced it more like "Ash-ling." How have you heard it pronounced most often in Ireland?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I take two in the morning and two at night. I do not need to keep them cool/cold (I live in very humid place - Houston). I do not lay down after and I really have had no issues with them. Just make sure you wear a panty liner and all is good!

I notice that a lot of you do the suppositories OR the shots. I'm having to do the suppositories twice a day AND the shots once a day. I wonder if my doctor is overdoing it...

Hi there Katie ... my husbands family lives in Canada now, but orginally from Cork! We just got back from Dublin a few months ago. Loved it ... we plan on going back for a few weeks one day to tour ALL of Irleand and do more research on my husbands family.

I miss my clothes that used to fit. I miss caffeine. I miss being able to use the bathroom like a normal person (I go every 5 minutes for one thing, every 3 days for the other. TMI, I know). But I mostly miss the days when I didn't worry about everything.

My mom sent me the following quote, and I'm trying to remember it whenever I find something else I miss:

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. -Erma Bombeck

Hey Janeey, the pronouncation you heard in Ireland is the correch one...pronounced Ash-ling (best friend is called that also) I really love the name btw! You're so right about Americans mis-pronouncing the name as during my wedding (she was my maid of honour) all my US friends keps calls her A-sling...that said once people become familiar with her name they will get it right! I've been in the US almost 5 years now...and love it. Not sure if we will be here forever (husband is English) but we are definitely not planning on moving in the forseeable future.

Lacy...that is so funny, I grew up not so far from Cork (actually in a place called Kerry). So glad you enjoyed your trip to Dublin! I went to shcool there and it truly is a fab city!

I just got the results of my second beta...it is 783 can you believe. Our next appointment is on 10/25. So 8 days away. I'm sure this week will be torture but am plannign to do very little. By next week we should be able to see a sac or maybe 2 but no heart beat as it is still a little early. I am so relieved. Even my migraine appears to be improving.

Have a fab day.
Katie
