lisa, i am SOO happy for you! i posted on the other thread too, but a first u/s definitely deserves a double-congrats!

lacy, don't worry about the brown spotting. if it's that light brown stuff, it's just old lining and other stuff shedding. you only need to worry if you have red blood - and even that is not a guarantee something is wrong. i had some red spotting on saturday and monday (before my u/s) and was really about to have a heart attack. but it's gone now and i think everything is ok. i don't know if your RE talked to you about avoiding sex but if not ... that can definitely cause spotting when you're pregnant. GOOD LUCK tomorrow at your ultrasound! can't wait to hear about it.

Hey ladies! I have been following all of your posts over the last couple of weeks in hopes that I would soon be joining you and I am! I got a BFP on a HPT this morning! I am just squeaking in for June with an EDD of June 30th. I am waiting to hear back on my first beta results tomorrow. Why does time pass so slowly when we're waiting for baby news?

My u/s today revealed two sacs! I'm still in shock. I posted a thread asking for advice because the second sac is way behind in development from the first.

In two days, it's gotten bigger. I'm scared and excited at the same time.

Waiting for the next u/s is going to be so hard for me. Will there be two, or just one? and will I hear heartbeats? there are so many questions that need to be answered.

Amy, welcome! Let us know your beta number when you get it.

Lacy, I hope your spotting stops. can't wait to hear results of your u/s.

My doctor gave me so many drugs today. She's given me folic acid, calcium, fish oil capsules. She's also asked me to start eating more oily fish and to drink 3 glasses of milk a day. She's asked me in general to make sure to eat lots of protein.

I will continue with Crinone til week 9 and Metformin til week 12 or 24? I can't remember now.

that's another symptom i've noticed, I just can't remember a lot of things I need to. The other day I forgot my debit card pin number and I use it almost daily. I thought it was the strangest thing.

katie- My first ultrasound is 10/29. It could have been on 10/23, but my RE doesn't like to send his pts to the one where you can't hear the heartbeat...he says if freaks everyone out. So, he prefers you wait until you can hear the heartbeat. I think I am going to be a nervous wreck until then!!

lacy- thanks for the pregnancy calendar, very cool! I am so excited that I have been blabbing about being pg to just about everybody! I need to stop!!
Good llluck with your u/s today! Can't wait to hear the details!

Wow so much great news! Congrats on your first u/s Lisa. It must be such an amazing feeling.

Laurie I saw your other post and photos, congratulations. that the second little one will catch up with the first. I am so excited for you. I am with you on the forgetfulness. I appear to be forgetting so many things these days. I guess it's one of those crazy preganncy symptoms! Hope you're still enjoying thos protein shakes in the mornings. I alternate between those and an omelet in the mornings.

Welcome Amy! Congratualtions on your first . Good luck with your first beta next week.

June I am so envious that you have had 3 beta tests. I just had two and now have to wait until the end of next week for my first u/s. I would be happy to go in for blood work every day just so I know eberything is progressing as it should. Neurotic I know but am so nervous at the moment. Every tweak and cramp worries me.

Hannah I am so relieved that your spotting has finally stopped. Btw I want to commend you on doing your PIO shots yourself every day. I did my first one last night as DH is traveling and it must have taken me 10 mins to get the needle into my butt. I was so apprehensive.

Lacy so sorry you had such a stressful day. Apparently spotting is perfectly normal. Hannah is a pro at giving advice on that after the frightening experience she has been through last week.

Grits, so glad you found somehtign you like to eat finally! I wish I had that problem as I am eating everything in sight these days.

As for the flyign questions, Dani you are so brave. There is nothing I would like more right now than to fly home to see my family however my DH won't even entertain the idea of me getting on a plane until after the first trimester. It will also mean I miss his little sisters wedding in Dec (it's in Australia so I guess 22 hours of flying might be over doing it).

What do you guys think?
Katie

amy, welcome and congrats on your +++ test!

laurie, i posted on the other thread too ... first of all, CONGRATS on a good u/s! i know you are worried about the 2nd bean, but please try to just focus on the positive right now. it's got to be really hard, but i know that worrying a lot won't be good for you. the most important thing is that you are pregnant, and so far your baby A looks super good - - and baby B, is just too early to be determined. oh ... i have been forgetting the most ridiculous things too. actually, i'm just doing things wrong lately. i put dirty dishes in the cupboard, and pulled wet clothes from the drying and put them back into the wash. lol.

katie, the first time you do your own shot IS really hard! it took me longer than 10 minutes when i first did mine. a flight to australia ... i'd do some research before you do that. it's a long flight and i think unless you are in first class and can really stretch out ... it might not be good to be all cramped up for 22 hours. i'm no expert though - so i'd talk to my doctor and just do some research.

Laurie, I posted on your other thread.

Amy, and congrats on your BFP.

I am forgetting things as well, DH noticing too! I do weird stuff like Hannah to, or walk over to one end of the house to do something and find myself standing there wondering what I came there for.

Katie-sorry you will have to miss the wedding. I don't know anything about the flying but if it was a potential harm, I would sit tight for 9 months. It took so long to get to this point, I will literally sacrifice whatever I have to for a such a small time and miraculous cause!

anybody taking progressive belly pics? I did one at 4 weeks......LOL, DH is doing them too (see if he gets sympathy baby belly) ha ha

The forgetfulness stories made me laugh. Hannah, that is too funny about putting dirty dishes in the cupboards.

I've forgotten my cell phone at home so many times now, it's not funny. normally, you can't pry it from my hands.

Katie, I would hold off on any long distance flights. there's just too much risk with DVT. short flights are ok, I think. anything less than 5 hrs.

Feeling so sleepy now. I'm off to bed...

Congratulations Lisa and Luan on you first ultrasound and I will pray for you both that the second ones grow. Also congratulations on everyone else joining we have so many June babies now.
Anyway has anyone been having lower back ache and some mild af type cramps I am starting to get worried that this isn't normal. My second ultrasound could not come soon enough.

Well ... I was a tiny bit dissapointed in my 1st ultrasound (I cried once we left the office - what a dork! hehe). I really wish they had not done it so early! No "bean" count for me today - too soon! According to online calculators I am 5 weeks and 2 days along today, but RE said I look more like maybe 4 weeks along. I asked her why would that be and she said many reasons why ...
1) Not developing as fast as should yet .
2) Implanted late.
3) Not able to get good visual on ultrasound especially since so early.
4) twins ... which develop much slower (but the nurse said she still thinks it is just one - I agree).
5) Or possible has development problems which of course would be bad!

Plus if i am only 4 weeks along why did I have an HCG of 80 9 days ago?????

I will post the picture of ultrasound later (trust me NOT much to see - but still my little poppy sead! hehe)

I have to go in next friday again ....

The thing that sucks is my DH is leaving next Sunday and will be gone when I finally (might) get to hear to a heartbeat. uuggggg

Just happy to still "be in the game"

Amy welcome aboard and congratulations!

Laurie that is SO exciting!!!!! TWINS – wow … you are so lucky girl!

Junebug your RE is smart … look at what happened to me today with my EARLY ultrasound – sent me into crying fit.

Lisa I have taken some progressive photos and posted them on my online pregnancy journal. http://www.babycrowd.com/jr/online/lacymarie/

Have a wonderful weekend ladies ...

Lacy

Amy So what is your #?

Laurie I am so excited for you!! Ok I am a little jealous too.... ...That is such exciting news! I hope they both thrive! And I have definitely noticed a whole memory thing or lack of going on. I think our brains are so preoccupied with baby thoughts there is no room for anything else!

Katie, I would definitely skip the long flight. I did some research and it seems a quick flight is less straining on the body/baby than short flights. I am flying out not this sat but next. It is only an hour flight. I hope it is okay. I am nervous, but my RE says it is perfectly fine. I hope he is right. I had bought my daughter tickets to see Hannah Montana in Seattle, we HAVE to go!

So Lisa when your belly gets big are you going to post them all?

Lacy, I wold not be worried. My u/s was the same 5wks2days. All we saw was a sac, but that is all I expected (I did research so I would know what to expect) Knowledge is power. The tech told me the same thing about measuring 4wks. But IVF babies also tend to start off slower than regular *shrug* don't know why. So do not worry, we will catch up later.

I was curious ... I read someplace that if you do a transvaginal ultrasound you must have an empty bladder. This morning I had a VERY full bladder - hehe OOPS

lacy, congrats on the sac!! don't worry, i cried last week while still in the office, still in the stirrups LOL!! but don't worry, those too early ultrasounds are somewhat frustrating but will pay off...

laurie, wow!! double trouble?! haha, hoping for the best! those twins do like to develop a little bit slower...

today's ultrasounds revealed our two beautiful lima beans, twin A measuring 6wks, 4 days and twin B measuring 6 weeks, 5 days! they said official due date was june 10, 2008, but with twins that certainly won't happen. the best surprise was we got to both hear and see the heartbeats!! what a GORGEOUS sound!! both babies were exact - both of them 124bpm. DH cried, I giggled with joy at the sound

all of you ladies are in my prayers!

Congrats on the great u/s, Sarah! Two sound like fun!!

I FINALLY got the results of my beta and at 10dpo it was 30. The nurse seemed really pleased with that and doesn't want me to come in to check it again until Monday. Does that number seem about right to you? I'm really trying to relax, but it's not easy!!
