lacy, first of all let me say i totally understand what you're going through. i've been having bleeding and intermittant spotting for the last 2 weeks and it is NOT pleasant. every time i think it's gone for good, it comes back. it happened again this morning (and was red) so i called my doctor in a panic. they said that this happens to a lot of women in first trimester and to not worry. well it's impossible not to worry. but, i just wanted to let you know you're not alone. i have been posting about this a lot and it seems many other girls have had similar experiences and gone on to have healthy pregnancies. try to stay off your feet and take it easy. oh - i do my own PIO shots and always have. it's not bad at all - just try not to think about it too much. i like to push the needle in slow, i think it's easier that way. cushion it with some cotton or something so you can't see the needle, then just push. sometimes i don't even realize it's gone in because i can't feel it. ok good luck, take care and get off your feet!

deepa, welcome to june due dates!! it is so nice to see you on here.

jen, congrats on your 'run to the bathroom' morning sickness! that is awesome. i haven't had it that severe, but every time i even get a wave of nausea i'm like, YES!

i totally agree with you guys about the ultrasound wait being harder than the 2ww. it's really torturous! and believe me, after you have your first one, the second one is no easier. i think i'll probably be just as big of a freak on my way to the third one. lol. i suspect that we'll all relax when the baby is about ... oh, 30 weeks along. ok hope everyone is doing well!.

Congrats Miranda on your 3rd beta. What a great number, hopefully you can relax somewhat until you have your first u/s.

Lacy I posted on your other thread. So sorry to hear about this mornings trauma. Goood luck with the PIO tomorrow. It's alot easier than it looks.

June, Like you I am totally aprehensive and a nervous wreck in anticipation of my first u/s (this Thurs). As I will just be 5 weeks 3 days by then we will not hear a heart beat so my guess is that they are checking to see how many sacs are present.

I agree with you hope in that I would almost prefer waiting to have an u/s when we could hear something tangible.

Welcome Deepa! So glad you joined...our due date is very similar (mine is June 24th however my RE has yet to confirm this).

Hannah, thanks for the heads up on the possibility of bleeding following a trans vag u/s.

Katie

Thanks Hannah..and Katie for the warm welcome..
Lacy I hope ur doing much better now and all relaxed...
I had an ultrasound...yesterday..and the Dr didnt see much..my beta was 931....he said it was too early...but tat has had me stressing...he only commented on the thick lining and a corpus luteum cyst...anyone heard of that..? do u think I should have seen something...?
I go in for my first u/s next week...thats when part of the stress will get over..or will it?

The wait is tortuous!!!

Lacy, I posted on your other thread, but have to say that your experience sounded terrifying. I'm always on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.

deepa!

Ok, so it seems like my preggo symptoms are disappearing. is that normal? I just reached 6 wks. I could start to throw up tomorrow I guess.

I'm going to be a wreck until next wednesday...ugh...hate waiting.

deepa, i know it's really disconcerting to not see anything at your u/s ... but it is so early. someone else in our group just had the exact same thing happen too. my RE doesn't do a first ultrasound until 7 weeks for this very reason- it causes stress! please don't worry. your beta numbers are amazing - they have risen perfectly. better than perfectly actually!

laurie, the disappearing symptoms ... oh yes ... that has happened to me. they come, they go. in fact, i lost nausea for several days and my bbs seemed to have lost all their previous growth (darn!) ... then suddenly today, bam- i feel like i'm going to throw up all day and my chest is completely sore and swollen again. i've researched this extensively - both on this forum and other internet sites- and apparently it's quite common. there are so many things to stress us out aren't there?

Hannah, thanks so much. I don't feel so paranoid now. I thought I was, you know, losing them somehow. What a frightening thought.

You're right, I think getting an u/s too early is just not good. At least 7 wks.

Hannah, can you believe it's only 3 more weeks til you're in your second trimester???

okay, the morning sickness bug has certainly bitten me! lol it's actually not too bad, it's not getting me running to the bathroom yet, but it's like i can feel something churning around down there. it's an overall feeling of "not feeling right" if that makes any sense....plus i don't even want to eat. blech. but i know i have to, the babies need it!!

to all the new ladies on the forum!! so excited to have you all here!

i am a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend for an old college friend. thankfully my fat self can still fit in the dress!

well i know you guys are the only ones who will understand just how exciting this news is ... i had my first 'run to the bathroom and lose it' morning sickness this morning. lol. is it psycho that it made me so happy? laurie - my nausea had totally improved over the last week, then this hit me out of nowhere. the symptoms seem to return when you least expect them.

sarah, sounds like you have the same aversion to eating that many of us have had. i'm glad you can wear your dress to the wedding this weekend. i wonder how long until we all really pop out? i'm ready for bella bands now ... but otherwise my body is the exact same size as it's always been.

laurie ... no i can not believe i will be in my 2nd trimester that soon! i was thinking yesterday that i wish i could take the next month off work, go up to my mom's house in the mountains and just lay on the couch and make this month go by faster.

miranda, you are so lucky that you can sleep like that! i also want to go to bed by like 9:00, but then i lay there wide awake for an hour, and proceed to wake up 5x throughout the night. it makes me nuts. so i'm very glad to hear you are sleeping this well!

I'm getting pretty sick these days too. The fatigue is worse than anything tho. I cannot make it through the day. I wish it were possible to nap somewhere. Unfortunately my work isn't quite set up that way. BLAH!!! I'M TIRED!!!!!

to all the new gals.
Hannah- I was happy to read that you aren't near those fires. I hate that people are so stupid. I will continue to pray for all those in those areas.

I made my first OB apt. The labs are on the 12th and the physical on the 14th.

When will we be able to tell the gender of our little ones? Someone let me know. I'm thinking it will be sooner than my clinic will tell me. The lady at the OB office said I will not find out til 28 weeks.... GRRRRR!!!!

Christy-I think that they can guess as early as 14 weeks but I am not sure.
I think my husband and I are going to wait to find out the gender, although before we knew how many I said if I was going to have twins I would want to know because you have so much more stuff to get. Since it is only one we will wait. What is everybody else planning on doing.
Anyways the morning sickness has set in on a regular basis now. I can't believe I am happy to feel so yucky.

Amy,
My Dh and I are going to find out what we are having. I am way to organized of a person and HATE surprises. I need things to go the way I somewhat planned. I am hoping we can find out around 18 weeks. We are looking forward to it.

I haven't had ANY morning sickness, sometimes I get nauseaus but I can't tell if it's just me or from the baby!

I know it is kind of early but what is everybody's birth plans. Natural, midwife, epideral we really want to go as natural as possible, but know that it can be VERY hard. I am okay with taking an epideral, but want to try as long as I can naturally! We'll see...anybody have a dr. tell them already they will have a c-section?

amy, we're finding out gender too. it will be a suprise enough then i want to plan and shop!

christy, my first ob appointment is the 14'th too. i hope we get another u/s!!

dipscool- my symptoms totally fluctuate all the time too. i finally believe it's okay. it will be nice when we can feel our baby moving all the time and won't have to worry so much!

hannah- congrats on the puking, we are SO weird for liking this! Spotting stopped yet?

at my appt. yesterday i got the best news ever!! when the re asked me how i have been feeling, i said tired, and missing the caffeine. he kind of looked at me funny and said it would be perfectly fine for me to have one cup a day.. so i had a cup today and my morning was so much brighter! i'll try to save this for emergencies, but it's nice to know i safely have the option.
