Ok, so I'm not hungry today. so weird. I go from being the most ravenous hungry woman in the world to not.

I still have a bit of a sore throat, but all in all feeling much better than yesterday.

I am looking forward to my drip today to get more of this fluid out of my abdomen. I seriously look like I'm 6 months preggo!

AND!!! I'm so excited to go shopping for maternity clothing. Let me know what's hot. I have a friend that's going to do some shopping for me in LA.

amy congrats on your u/s and little one's heartbeat! that is great.

jen - how exciting you got to see your little bean! congrats!

i swear, my RE made me wait the longest for my u/s! i still don't go for 5 days! it's killlllllllllllling me. i gotta go soon or i'll keep poas'ing and go mad.

laurie, i have had a sore throat for the last week as well. i wonder if our immune systems are weak? i also wondered if it's from heartburn ... can't that make you get a sore throat? i've been having some SERIOUS nausea the last couple days.

i am so happy our June group has really grown!

Hannah, why are you still poas-ing? is it for psychological peace of mind? Maybe your RE is making you wait out the extra days you would have waited for the original beta date. A kind of balance to the universe thing? hehe.

Ok, it's just 8pm and I'm so tired. yeah, the sore throat thingy is strange.

I'm so glad that this group has grown too!

well i have only done it (poas) a few times since my beta, and it's mostly just to prove to myself that i am pregnant. some days i wake up thinking this is all a cruel joke and the beta was wrong or something horrible. my u/s should alleviate a lot of this!

Hannah- so, do you still love the nausea??, i still wish i had it! .... psycho... craziness....

Laurie -sorry you're having to go through so much. did they give you any idea how long your sypmptoms could last??

Grits- I held out pretty good while i was getting the u/s, then when he brought me to the little room to talk ( after he let me put my pants back on) i went through a couple of kleenex. i'm sure he's used to hormonal women.

so, i have a new paranoia now. last night i got to looking at this website that said my baby should be from 3-5mm as of yesterday. my re measured 1.8 mm. I HAVE GOT TO STOP THIS! everything is going to be fine, FINE. now to convince my head.

Amy congrats on your US, what a miracle.

I am like Hannah, I wake up thinking I am not preggo until this US. I admit, Hannah, you do seem to have to wait the longest. And Sarah, you get your first one 4 days after your 2nd Beta!!!!! that;s great.

I was bummed again when I woke up because I felt so good again so cute DH says, you have one more stick left if you want to pee on it! LOL.

The sore throat thing, Hannah, you are correct-the body's immune system weakens, especially since this is new and a lot of women get sick or get colds around the time they first find out they are preggo.

Laurie--I read I hope your bloating and discomfort eases soon. Is DH in shock of your BFP, is that why he does not want to talk about it?

Jen-you crack me up with the nausea thing. I think we all have to relax (me bigtime) and feel lucky we feel good. My sister in law said, most women that get pregnant and don't know it usually find out because they don't feel good which is usually around 7-8 weeks into it. I guess since we know everything down to the conception time, we are fixated and focused on all of this. Oh well, here's to all of us feeling crappy soon---cheers!

Jen- I know what you mean about being paranoid even after getting great news we still have to find reasons to gaurd ourselves from being too excited.

Hannah- I remember getting a soar throat after I found out I was pregnant with my son I think it is a sure sign of a good pregnancy. I wonder why you have to wait so long for your first ultrasound you had your transfer before mine. I would be dying by now to see my little bean. hope the rest of the 5 days goes quick for you.

Laurie- I also hope your bloating goes down.

Is anyone else extremly bloated I am on the progesterone shots and by the end of the day I look 6 months pregnant I really am fealing fat I hope that this bloating goes down after I stop the progesterone shots. I would hate to buy any bigger clothes yet because I am so afraid I will jinx myself.

Congratulations June girls!

I just saw that Grits was here and is pg and wanted to give a special hello & congrats to her as we were buddies a while back. So very excited for you, Grits!

I also wanted to mention that the tickers are not completely accurate... especially when it comes to the measurements early on. So, don't obsess if your numbers are different than your ticker. In the pregnancy books I have, they all said smaller measurements that this darn ticker!

Congrats again & here's hoping for all of you to have a wonderful 9 months.

Shelly

hannah, be happy that your RE makes you wait longer...check out my post on the Sept thread...essentially by mistake i was called in too early for my u/s so he couldn't "confirm" that the 2 black spots he saw in my uterus were gestational sacs because "i can't see the embryo." so i have to go back on 10/19 now, after 6 weeks.

geez sarah ... i saw your post on the other page and was really upset for you that you had to go through that. on the one hand, i can say just totally blow him off and be thrilled that you and the nurse saw what you saw - two!! but i know it's really unsettling when a doctor acts like that. he has no business being in THIS kind of business. i hope your next u/s is an entirely different and more pleasant experience.

all your comments about sore throats are interesting. isn't it funny what we start to realize is common? have you guys bought 'the girlfriends guide to pregnancy'? i keep hearing that one is good for finding out all these weird little symptoms you never hear of.

i am still getting really nauseous and it hits me at various points of the day suddenly. i'm learning to have food handy and to eat a lot of little things so that my stomach is never empty! i woke up last night with a stabbing pain in my abdomen and it really freaked me out. it only lasted a few seconds and then went away. i keep hearing cramps are normal - but they are scary!

jen, i know it's near impossible to not obsess, but i really believe that like shelly said, these numbers really vary. and frankly, i don't think their method of measuring the little guys this early is an exact science. it's kind of like when they measured our follicles remember? sometimes my RE would say 'from this angle it's 14 but if i do it like this ... it's about 16.' i am sure everything is okay so try not to worry.

amy, YES i am bloated! i had my jeans unbuttoned at work all day.

Hi Ladies!

Hi Amy, you had your u/s a day before my beta so I didn't congratulate you yet. Congrats!

I am totally bloated from progesterone, too. My doc said my b/w showed I was retaining water. It's a little different to the ohss where the water is not stored in the tissue, but expelled into the abdomen. I've got the ohss under control, but the water retention is driving me nuts. I sat next to a lady at the clinic and she was as big as I was and she was 8 months! Ok, she was tiny for 8months, but still!

Sarah, I also commented on that jerk of an RE. He really should go into another line of work. He should be a butt doctor.

Jen, woah, I thought I was obsessed! I agree with Hannah, how can they be totally sure it's only 1.8mm? I bet they are wrong. Besides, in my preg books, there are estimates in there that vary so much.

Hannah, you are too funny with the poas saga. Are you gonna go through withdrawal after the u/s? I'm donating mine to a girlfriend who has been trying and last month she had a m/c. I know she'll need them because she will try again.

Lisa, my husband is away in europe on business and he's been so busy that he really hasn't had time to talk at length on the phone with me. He hasn't even emailed me! He's usually not like that, but he's had 4-5 meetings a day and I'm sure he's just so tired. He's off to London today and he'll not be so busy, so we'll get to talk. I'm sure he just hasn't had time to think about it yet. But we have our first u/s next friday and he'll be home for that, so I'm sure it'll get more real to him.

I realize that I get the sore throat when i'm really tired and feeling worn out. Yesterday I had the worst lower back pain ever. I was waddling a little because it hurt so much. I don't know where it came from, but when i woke up this morning, it was gone. I don't have any nausea and I'm kinda hoping for some because they say it's a sign the baby is attaching well. Other than all that, my bb are so sore. It hurts to even put a bra on.

I might have to go out and get some maternity clothes. I am just so huge that nothing fits, not even my fat pants.

I need to ask lilypie.com for an asian looking baby for my ticker. I couldn't find a 'yellow' baby. The closest one was the one that looks hispanic. lol. I'm so weird.

I am bloated too, I am so glad you brought that up and everybody seems to be the same. I had to go shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding next weekend and ugh!!! thats all I can say.

today, this afternoon, I started getting my first nausea spells, off and on, also had some weird belly pains, not painful though, just enough to notice.

Hannah, was thinking that you're US is going to be pretty good, detailed and since you are so far along, you'll get to see a lot.

Sara-I read your other thread and I can't even imagine how you must have felt when you left there. On the other hand, I am excited for another one of us with 2 little peas----this is such an exciting month.

Laurie-jeez, you've been going thru so much while hubby is away---I bet you can't wait for him to come home, especially since he'll be there for the US. too funny about the lilipie ticker!!!

OH! forgot to mention the best thing about yesterday! They took the iv needle out!

My vein was getting all funky. Don't know the medical term they used, but they said it just wasn't working out. Whew! I feel so much better.

I know. I just sent a request through the lilypie.com site for a yellow baby. I hope I'm not being too annoying.

I'm half Korean, half American Caucasian. I remember one day watching Dragon: the Bruce Lee story, with a friend. You know the latest one, not the originals. But there's that one scene where Lauren Holly is running off to see Jason Scott Lee and her mother grabs her by the shoulders and says, 'Do you want to have yellow babies?!' My friend turns to me and says, 'that's what you are, Laurie, you're a yellow baby!'

We were laughing for days and days after that. So, I want my yellow baby marker!

LOL.
