Dani, I really don't have the words that will encompass the sympathy I have for you right now. I just pray that you will get to have your baby sometime very very soon and that you never have to go through this again.
Miranda, looks like you've got what I have. It's awful, isn't it? I hope it doesn't last for long. I totally understand how you feel about eating. Most of the books I have have this to say about nausea in the first trimester: eat if you can, but don't worry too much about missing meals because you have reserves to rely on right now. That made me feel so much better because I felt so guilty if I didn't eat and I had to eat 'healthy' things. Sometimes I would go days without eating a vegetable. I just knew that I had tons of reserves stored in my body to feed my babies until I felt better. Had a super good day today. Called a girlfriend up and we went for indian food(stayed away from the really spicy stuff) for lunch, then we went for foot reflex and then took our dogs out for some play time. It was great. PLUS! My part time maid came back! My house is clean again!!!! I'm so excited. Take care ladies! |

Dani, I am so so sorry you had to go through that last week. I know there is absolutely nothing I can say to make you feel better but please know that you and your DH are in my thoughts and I pray that you will get your baby really soon.
Take care of yourself. Katie |

June ladies-Thank you for the welcomes and words of advice.
I usually do not check the forum during the weekend, and I needed some time to catch up. I’ve been feeling much better about the joint pains. I even did some walking yesterday afternoon. Lotus-I love your u/s picture. The miracle of life it’s just AMAZING. Miranda-I’m glad you are feeling better with your m/s. Lisa-I’m glad you are not taking progesterone anymore. My RE ordered me to stop taking Prometrium right at ten weeks, and I have not experienced any side effects. Amy-Sorry you feel so tired. I am there myself with some days feeling better than others. Lacy. Sorry to hear about the blood disorder. I hope everything goes well with your High Risk OB. Autumridge2006. Good Luck to you during this protocol. To all the other June ladies…Have a Great Pregnancy Day.

Ok, graduating to a regular OB is WAY overrated!! I called to schedule an appointment today with a new OB since we've moved since I last saw one (forever ago!) and I only get to see a nurse during week 11 and I don't even get an u/s!!!! WHAT?!?!? Then I have to wait until week 20 before I even meet the OB and have an u/s!!! Does this sound normal to you? I'm going to make a list tonight of other clinics to call tomorrow because apparently I am spoiled and needy.

Amy,
That stinks..........if it were me, I would maybe talk to some people you work with or neighbors to get a name of some other Docs to call and "shop around" Seems like a long time to wait to actually meet the Doctor and have a first US, especially since you needed treatment to get to this point. My OB usually takes patients at the 10 week mark but they do US's each visit. Wishing you the best ![]()

Hi Ladies, sounds like most of you are doing well. I'm so happy to have another 'feel good' day!
Deepa, is that nice pick for the indian food or did you like my picture? sorry, i confuse! Lacy, here's the link to the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore: http://www.ava.gov.sg/ They handle the import of animals. Some dog breeds are banned from importing to Singapore, so check your breeds. The size of the dogs are not important as you will not be living in government subsidised housing(they have dog size restrictions for those). I think the biggest thing that will affect your dogs in Singapore is the heat which you have faced in Dubai. You have to leave the aircon on and the electricity bills can be over $500 a month. Also, what type of housing will affect your dogs, i.e. house with yard vs. apt/condo Real estate has shot through the roof here and rentals for small houses with yards usually start around $6500-$10,000(USD$5000-7000) Singapore dollars a month. There are no areas that are restricted to people who want to walk their dogs on a leash. So far, there are 3 dog runs in parks all over Singapore, but getting to them in a taxi can be tricky as most taxi drivers don't want to transport big dogs, so getting a car would be helpful. I hope this is the info you wanted. I will give you as much info as you need. |

Hi there
Laurie, so glad you're having a good spell this past while. I have to say I am absolutely exhausted these days. For some reason the past four days have been really difficult. I am seriously struggling at work and would do anythign to be able to take a nap for 30 mins especially in the afternoon. Are any of you feeling extreme fatigue? Deepa, curious if the m/s has hit yet? No appearance on my side so far which I guess at this stage means that it's unlikely to hit. Miranda hope you're feeling better. Amy, I would definitely consider shopping around for another OB. I don't know what standard practice is however they do seem a little hands off. HAve a great pregnancy day ladies. Katie |

morning ladies, i hope everyone is doing well! i keep looking at all our tickers and thinking, wow it was only a second ago that we were at 4 weeks, 5 weeks. we're cruising along! so my insomnia and ms have left me, and now i am sleeping 12 hours a night and am SUPER crabby. those are my latest symptoms, hit me a week ago. i can't believe i'm 11 weeks today. it's so crazy.
amy, all my friends who had 'normal' pregnancies (ie. ones that didn't start with fertility treatments and RE's) have been prepping me for the shock i'm going to go through when i switch to OB, ie. that i won't be getting all this attention and time at the doctor's office! sounds like you're already experiencing that. 20 weeks does seem a bit far to wait however... since you're paying for it, can't you just tell them you want to come sooner? not sure how that works with insurance and all. good luck ... hope everyone else is good. has anyone heard from/seen Grits on in a very long time? have a great, uneventful pregnancy day! ![]()

Good morning ladies!!!
Congrats on seeing your little bean again June!! I'm hoping to do the same tomorrow. I had the pregnancy panel of labs drawn yesterday. Do you girls think that's strange since they do that before our IVF? I told them I had had all of it and she still took 4 vials of blood. I got to visit with the OB while I was there yesterday. I asked him if he would do an ultrasound tomorrow and he said YES!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!! I get so worried. I have no pg symptoms whatsoever so I freak out daily and convince myself that something has happened to my babies. Hannah- I too am trying to prepare to be just a regular pregnant lady. I will see my OB every 4 weeks after tomorrow. I won't get another U/S til about 20 weeks also. Have a great day!!! Christy
