Hello, my friends! I hope everyone had a good and uneventful day!

Lacy and Miranda, I'm sorry you have to take the Levonox, but Lacy, you are lucky to see your little one more often! That is a definite plus!!

Amber, I have the EXACT same symptoms as you! I go to bed earlier and earlier every night (8:30 pm last night), have to eat every couple of hours, and have sore bb's at the end of the day. It worries me that I don't have the nausea, but I guess I'll thank my lucky stars. Amber, have fun at your u/s on Friday!

Hannah, congrats on leading us into the 2nd trimester in just one week!

Lotus, you are lucky to have gotten into your OB so quickly. Any idea what their protocol is for frequency of visits? I'm curious about others' experiences.

Deepa, don't worry about your symptoms being mild because I'm sure your little one is thriving in there. Some people are just lucky like that!

I have been doing well lately and my symptoms seem to have lessened except for the EXTREME exhaustion! It never feels like I can get enough sleep. It's really cutting into my primetime TV watching, like Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy!

Happy hump day!!

lacy I know I will have to go off them also before I deliver...I was told I have to take them up untill the day I will deliver. I am not sure of what they will want me to do, I am thinking they will plan a induction or c-section.
I give mine in my lower belly, below my belly button. I too wonder how I will give the injection when my tummy is big. Good luck with it....Did they have you start today?

Hugs
Miranda

I will start taking them tomorrow morning ... I was told and read that you can NOT have an epidural while taking Lovenox. I am like WTF! I am not the all natural kinda lady! hehe
Apparently that is one of the reasons they start women on heprin towards end because it leaves you system sooner or something like! hehe

My perinatal doc also told me I need to wear a medical id bracelet stating I have this disorder and use blood thinners ... FYI

Good night my lovely pregnant friends!!!

Y'ello ladies, how are you feeling today?

-Lotus, congs on graduating to OB, and good luck with your 1st appointment. Hope you get that special treatment that you deserve.
- Laurie, thanks for the tip on the scratches. I will sure apply the moisturizer and see if it works.
- June, am paranoid about taking any drugs apart from the daily doze of folic acid!!! My RE doesn't encourage medicines either. I hope the itching will go away with the moisturizer.... or with time! Did you have a nice flight to Tennessee?
-JOSEE - Gal, we sure miss you!!! How have you been? That's very nice of you to pop in! We still have you in our prayers and your day is coming.

And all you ladies, wish you a happy uneventful day.

Hi girls!

Lacy and Miranda, I didn't know it's such a serious condition you both have. Don't procrastinate on getting those med id bracelets. It's really important info for doctors to have.

I have been having kinda uneventful days. I'm not too sick, but I did have to throw up some pizza the other day because I was just too full. I was a little too greedy with my food and gobbled it down too much too fast.

I've had a few days where I just got super tired in the afternoon and had to take naps. But other than that, not much going on here.

I'm trying to take all the meds I'm supposed to be taking, but I think they upset my stomach a little, so I'm going slow. I've got the calcium, prenatal vit, fish oil, progesterone, metformin, folic+vitB to take. Some are three times a day and I just can't do it right now.

Well, that's me. I'll hopefully have more exciting news after our u/s on Monday.

Flu shot & Dental work questions...

Hello my fellow June ladies.
I was wondering if any of you have gotten the flu shot yet. Also, I went to the dentist today, and I have to go back for a filling. They are going to use a local anesthetic, but I really do not feel to comfortable doing anything like that. It took me a little while to get where I am today, and I really do not want to risk it. What are your thoughts on this?

Must Love Dogs-my RE told me and my DH to get flu shots, but we haven't. Don't tell. I'm assuming it is safe for us though, because I know several docs have told ladies on this board to go ahead and get the shot.

As far as the dentist, my dentist won't work on preggos without a note from the OB saying it is alright. Obviously you have to have the filling, but you might want to consult your OB to see what his thoughts on anesthesia are. I would imagine local would be fine, but you might want to ask anyway.

mustlovedogs I was a dental assistant for 6 years most of the time our office would avoid dental work in the first trimester unless no anesthesia was needed. We would try to hold off on major treatments untill after the birth. I would still talk it over with your OBGYN before you make the dental appt. Good luck!!

Deepa of course that little baby is doing well in there!! I know its hard to not worry....I am worried about my 2nd U/S on tues. Hugs

I have not gotten my flu shot....have not had one in years!! I am going to ask my RE about it this week.

Hello Ladies, and thank you for all your answers. There is a world of knowledge in this forum, and very friendly people here. I’m glad I finally had the guts to come out from lurking.
Lacy- How have you been feeling with the flu shot? I hope fine.
I have a friend who is 4 months pregnant with twins, and we are both going tomorrow to the Health Dept to take it as our Dr’s office was not offering one. To be honest, I never had a flu shot before, but I know my immune system is not optimal right now, and I don’t want for my baby to get sick…
Miranda & Lotus-I went to the dentist today for my periodic dental cleaning. The filling is more for aesthetic reasons as one of my front teeth barely chipped. The doctor did not want to file it down so he opted for the filling. I made the appointment, but I had all these doubts soon after I did it. To be honest with you, I am going to wait. The less medicine/foreign things I put in my body now the better. I can live with a chipped tooth for the length of my pregnancy…It is really not that bad.
Dipscool- I’ve been doing fine, thank you. I know what you mean when you say you are always tired. Two days ago, I came home from work, and I was watching my 7:00 o’clock show, and I do not recall anything else. I woke up around 11 p.m. just to move to my bed. DH did not want to wake me up.
To all other June ladies…I wish you all a Great Pregnancy Day.

i love my baby!

hey ladies, well i had my 4th ultrasound today and it went GREAT. i wasn't supposed to go in until monday, but because my first obgyn appt is on the 20th, i wanted to space out the last RE appt with that one. listen to me making excuses... basically, i pulled a hannah. the heartbeat is 165 and i am measuring 12 weeks!!! at the last ultrasound i was measuring about 4 days ahead as well, so my RE said today, nope you are 12 weeks. i couldn't believe it. i have a new picture to post ... there is one where you can see the face. wild. i get to stop progesterone- yay!!! anyway i am at work so being sneaky typing this ... gotta run but will catch up on all of your posts this afternoon. hope everyone is having a great, uneventful pregnancy day!
