I had my first U/S with the OB yesterday. Both babies are doing great. I will have to see a Perinatal Dr. and Nutritionist due to the twins. I tried to upload my pics and the file is too big. Gotta figure out howto shrink it and I'll try again.

i'm not going anywhere ... of course i wouldn't leave june due dates! i started with you girls and i'm finishing with you too. i don't even think i'll change my ticker ... somehow that feels like cheating.

christy, congrats on your ultrasound! can't wait to see your latest pic.

it's interesting so many of you got flu shots. i wonder why my RE never mentioned it to me. ironically, i got a nasty cold this weekend and have been completely paranoid that i'm giving it to my baby.

lacy, sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you'll have to do shots. but i am SO glad that you and your doctor are on top of this stuff!

i'm glad to have so many fellow grey's anatomy fans on here. i looooove that show. it has been hard for me to stay up past 9, but for grey's i make an exception.

Hi Ladies
I can't belie how much has happened in the last few days. I haven't had a chance to post at work as it has been manic and I have been so tired in the evenings I even struggle to eat.

Hannah, Lotus, Christy congrats to you all on graduating to your OBs and more importantly on not having to take the PIO shots anymore.

I had my last appointment with my RE today and as of today I too get to stop my PIO shots. I am so nervous. Both babies are doing great with strong heart beats and growing well (measuring right on track). It was interesting my RE said that until the 12th week all measurements are not accurate as the babies are jsut a gelatinous mass and until the bone structure grows in place it is difficult to determine an accurate due date. I am so going to miss my weekly u/s.

Deepa, hang in there, I was freaking out earlier this week as I has no symptoms apart from extreme fatigue and had worked myself that something was wrong. Thankfully today helped but I have no idea how I'm going to get through the next couple of weeks when I see my OB. Hope you're feeling ok and not stressing too much.

Miranda, Laurie how are you both feeling?

Lacy, so sorry you have to start on Lovonex.

Josee, it's so good to hear from you. How are you doing these days? Have you decided to try again in Jan? I've been trying to follow some of your posts on the IVF thread but haven't seen any for a while.

To all you other June ladies hope you're having a fab pregnancy day.
Katie

should i really change my ticker?? they gave me my original due date way back after i first tested + and it was just based on my lmp or ER date. but there is definitely a range of about - what a week? - that implantation can take place, so of course that will affect due date. mine has consistently measured about 4-6 days ahead of where i thought i was. taking a poll ... would you girls change the due date to match what the baby is measuring?

deepa, 10 days is awhile to wait so yes, you have to just find something to occupy yourself and take your mind off it. otherwise you'll go nuts. maybe a good book. i just started 'eat love pray' and so far it is really good. total chick book. has a section about india too.

lacy, sorry your shot hurt! i remember from doing the gonal-f on my stomach that sometimes i would hit a spot that really hurt.

katie congrats on your u/s and i'm so happy the babies are doing well! once you see them at about 10 or 11 weeks you'll think your doctor is nuts for calling them a gelatinous mass ... they are so well formed by then. i could see the face on mine today! i have to find a scanner then i'll post it. congrats on finishing PIO ... i am so glad to be off of it now too.

well i'm bummed. went to my ob for my first visit yesterday and NO ultrasound, that was anti-climatic!! At least i got to hear the heartbeat at 168 bpm for all of about 5 seconds.
so hannah, christy, since we're so close i would definately would appreciate you guys posting your u/s shots so maybe i can just imagine...

Well, while was at my appointment they asked me if I want to have a Nuchal Translucency test to measure my risk for down's syndrome. Is anyone planning on doing this? My knee jerk reaction was to say "sign me up" but the more i think about it i'm thinking NO. So many tests come up positive and require further testing to end up being negative anyway. so i just think, knowing myself, i would be better off without the extra worry. I still have the appointment, but it's not at my dr's office- I'll probably cancel it after sleeping on it tonight!.

Hannah, I vote you keep your ticker just like it to reflect babies 'true age', maybe you'll have a big baby!

Jenm, these OB appointments do seem to be anticlimatic after all of the great care we've received from our RE's! I have my first appointment on Monday and it's with a "nurse educator." What are they seriously going to "educate" me about after all I've been through and the research I've done?? I just want a new pic of my baby, but they won't do another u/s! I suppose this is what "normal" pregnant women go through, but it is still frustrating.

Hannah, congrats on the great u/s! And nice work on getting in early! So far as changing your ticker goes... I guess since they both registered at the same number of days ahead, I'd probably change it, but that's just me. Do whatever feels right for you. Also, I just read Eat, Pray, Love for my book club last month! It was an interesting read and I liked the "love" part the best, but everyone in my book club had a different favorite. Enjoy!

Christy, I'm glad that twins are doing so well! We definitely want to see those u/s pics when you get a chance!!

Ok, I'd better get ready for Grey's because it starts in 5 minutes...
