This is the reply I got from lilypie.com:
Hi Laurie, Thank you! It is lovely to read that you enjoy my tickers. Thanks also for the reminder I have been meaning to do another skin tone, but haven't yet had the chance. I will try to get it sooner rather than later and let you know when it is available. Best, Amanda |

JEN-I Can't remember exactly the measurement but it was something like 2.2mm wich she said is normal for right now so I wouldn't worry to much. Every where I read did say something like 5 mm but maybe they mean by the end of the 6th week.
I wish I had the morning sickness but not so far, crazy for hoping to be sick.

grits your numbers sound great! i've heard a few people mention worry about ectopic - is that even possible with ivf? i had no idea the little embryos could make their way up to the fallopian tube ... in any event, i'm sure that's not the case! i think you just have great numbers.
so i feel like i went from 0 to 60 overnight in terms of feeling like complete CRAP! so much so that i even checked to make sure i didn't O.D. on my progesterone shot or something. i really can't wait to get my prog checked on monday at my appointment. hoping to go au naturale soon. in any event, i wanted to feel pregnant, and i sure as heck do now! hope all of you are having a great day. laurie, i love that they are going to make you a ticker! ![]()

Hi Ladies! Wow--we're really hopping in here, eh? Looks like we might have quite a few twin pregnancies, too! Lots of great beta numbers!
Laurie--I do hope that you get your "yellow baby" on Lilypie! Sarah--OMG--I cannot believe how rude your RE was! That's just inexcusable. After our second failure with IVF, we told our RE that we were going to put more emphasis on our adoption, and he said, "There are a lot of risks with adoption. You don't know what you'll end up with." What a boneheaded thing to say! What's with these people? I was feeling bloaty earlier in the week (like I couldn't even fit into my "big" pants), but now I feel okay on that front. I am definitely tired. When I go to bed for the night, I crash *hard.* I am excited for our u/s on Monday... Then I'll be a believer! Hannah, I think it's cool that we have our appt's on the same day! Across the board, it looks like there was a lot of success in September--that's so encouraging.

Hannah, actually ectopic is more of a risk with IVF. I have no clue as to why, it really does not make sense, but when I was PG before with odd beta#s I had done a bunch of research online and read that a couple of times.
Leigh, I know what you mean about crashing, from the time I get up I am counting down til I can go to bed again! I am so unbelievably tired!

that is SO interesting about ectopics and ivf ... i'd love to know why/how that happens. i didn't realize the embryos could just cruise around like that once they were in there!
caribbean queen - are you nervous for monday? i definitely am. it's going to be a pretty intense weekend build-up to that. sounds like we're all getting sick and tired. i suspect that as the weeks go on there won't be too many more complaints about wanting to feel sick! ![]()

Grits, nice #'s. Isn't funny how the worrying never ends even after BFP. I am still worried because my #'s never completely doubled----I think it will never end.
Hannah-sorry you are feeling poopy-I guess the time has come for no more cheerleading on the symptoms! I've heard of that with the ectopic pregnancies. Our RE gave us literature on potential side effects, etc and I believe that was on there in a small percentage of IVF. I don't think the embryo implants right away so still has room to roam, move, etc. Hannah and CQ (Caribbean Queen), I can't wait to hear the US results Monday---I am nervous for you as I will be for me 4 days after you. Keeping + thoughts and faith! don't know how my writing turned to slanted italicized---must have hit some weird key

Ok, I'm so nervous anyway and now you guys are talking about ectopic???
Geez...I'm really gonna be biting my nails until u/s. I just got back from the clinic for my second beta. I really hope it's all ok. Gosh, I thought the worrying was over after bfp. I can't wait til I see my babies on the screen, then maybe I will feel more confident. |

Lisa, your #s are fine. They are certainly close enough!
http://www.betabase.info/index.php - This is a neat site and they tell you your doubling rate, and you see the averages of other woman. You are fine! leigh and Hannah, I cannot wait to hear about both of your u/s! ![]()

Yes, positive thoughts, please. I know it's a possibility, but I'm just so nervous at the moment.
My second beta is 221.9. My doctor said that she didn't think it was triplets by the number. I am relieved. I was getting a little anxious. But do you all think that my second beta number is a little low? shouldn't it have doubled? Last edited by lwiluan : 10-11-2007 at 10:51 PM. |
