MUSTLOVEDOGS
this is how I post my pictures
I scan and save the picture.
then right click on the picture and open it with paint
when the paint screen pops up hold down CTRL W and a little screen will pop up to let you resize it. once the size is smaller re-save it.

if you want it as your avator then you will need to click on quick links at the top and then edit avator.

Not sure if this helps. If you can you can send the picture to me and I could resize it for you.
good luck

Miranda

Thank you, Miranda. I will try that. It might take me a little while, but I will send the picture if I run into problems. Thank you again...

Hi ladies
So sorry to hear that so many of you have had another round of m/s over the past few days.

Miranda I really hope you're ok and that you're managing to eat somehting esp as you have two little one in there. Am impressed with you technical ability btw...if yuo don't mind I may ask your help to post some pics (I have my trans NT on the 10th of Dec and am hoping to have some good pics then). Am dying to hear how you get on with your doppler. Would definitely consider purchasing one for peace of mind sake...when will yours arrive?

Laurie
I bought organic protein power at my local health food store and add one scoop to a fruit smoothie in the mornings. I generally try to have strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana, natural yougart and some ice. It tastes great and fills me until lunch time.
We live in NY however none of us are American and so don't have any family to spend Thanksgiving with therefore 6 couples (all Brits) get together every year and alternate the venue to spend the holiday together.

Baybook, hope you feel better soon.

Just wondering if any of you twin moms are beginning to show. I am really self conscious these days especially as my clothes are very snug. My jeans won't tie anymore apart from one pair. Have any of you bought any jeans at this early stage? I am a little hesitant as I have no idea what size I will be in a few weeks nevermind a few months. I went and had a look in a copule of maternity stores this w/e and I felt like a fraud as all the shop assistants kept telling me that I don't need maternity wear yet...a bit challenging since I am running out of options in my current wardrobe. Also do you have any idea how many pounds we ought to put on the the first trimester with twins? Finally am curious if anyone else is taking 2 prenatal vitamins...my OB didn't mention anything to me...I am seeing her on Thurs so will ask then.

Btw ladies if I had my way I would tell everyone that I am pregnant...my DH is however very cautious and made me promise not to tell anyone. I was allowed to tell my best friend from uni and that's it. I am excited this week however as my oldest friend from childhood (grew up together) is in NY this w/e and I have been given the ok to tell her. Horrah!

Have a wonderful pregnancy day.
Katie

morning girls! i have my first ob/gyn appointment today and am excited - i have so many questions. sooo hoping i get an u/s. i was just looking through past posts on this thread and realized that 3 of our original girls - carribbean queen, breanna, and grits - have dropped off and not posted in a very long time. have you guys heard anything from them?

baybook, i have had a horrible chest cold for about 2 weeks now ... i wrote about it a week or so ago saying that i was afraid all the coughing may hurt the baby. (i'll save you the embarassment of making the same phone call i did to my doctor ... apparently coughing can NOT hurt the baby. ) it's really hard not being able to medicate with cough syrups and all that. i broke down twice and took a tylenol but i don't even like to do that. best (safe) remedy i can recommend is a lot of decaf tea with lemon and honey. hope you feel better!

niki, that story about your daughter is so sweet ... she sounds really adorable! it's amazing how kids are so intuitive and have a way of putting us in our place right? the horomones thing is really tough and i know what you mean about not being able to 'stop' once you start.

miranda, you poor thing - 2 hours of dry heaving? ehhh! your stomach must be sore today. i'm sure you've already investigated all the home remedies for m/s but i keep reading about ginger soda, ginger candies, etc. have you tried those? i hate to see you getting so sick because i'm worried you'll end up dehydrated. be careful about replacing fluids!

deepa, i'm sure you'll find a good ob. i would just do a lot of research online- i think you can tell a lot from the clinic's websites. sometimes can find patient reviews, that kind of thing. i bet you're excited to get moved and be back with your hubby full-time.

mustlovedogs, congrats on a good appointment yesterday! isn't it amazing to see them moving around?? so amazing. i feel the same way as you about the amnio - hoping it's not too late for me to do the NT as well.

katie, i've only got one munchkin in there but my tummy has a definite bump - almost like a little ball. the bella bands are still working really well for me because i just wear my jeans unzipped all the way down, cover the zipper area with bella band, then wear a long tank top, etc. over top. i think i'm showing sooner because i've had 2 previous surgeries where they did a caesarean cut. apparently that weakens your stomach muscles and makes your uterus pop out faster!

Hannah-It was so Great to see my baby moving around and jumping up and down. My DH, the technician and I were laughing everytime the baby jumped. It reminded me of my little beagle puppy, Peaches.
My DH said that it seems as if the baby is going to keep us very busy when he or she is born.
Thank you for telling me about the little bump. I was starting to feel a little odd when I heard some of the June ladies concealing the pregnancy, and I was asking myself "How in the world?" . I thought I was gaining more weight than I should.

hey girls, so i had my first ob appointment today and it went great! it was so fun watching the baby jump around. i measured 14 weeks and because this is my 3rd u/s where i'm measuring so much ahead, my ob changed my due date. so i'm now officially due in may (SHHH!!!) oh, and due to being "advanced maternal age" () i get to have an u/s once per month until 6 mo's, then once every 2 weeks. see, being old has its advantages apparently. here are a couple of my new pics! (my baby has a potbelly just like me)

Hannah, those are beautiful pics of your little one! Did you ask your OB about the NT scan, or did you decide not to worry about it? I think they have to use a fancier u/s machine to measure the fluid in the neck, but I could be wrong. You are soooo lucky to get so many u/s's!!

Miranda, I'm glad you were feeling a little better today. Yesterday sounds absolutely awful!

Mustlovedogs, congrats on the fun NT scan! Was the picture clearer than a regular u/s?

Katie, I wouldn't worry about showing at your stage at all! I'm just over 9 weeks and already feel like my belly is bulging. I'm with you though... it's hard to tell if it's all baby or part of Thanksgiving dinner left over!

To everyone else... I hope you had another great pregnancy day!!

I finally got my NT scan scheduled and I'll do it the same day as my first appointment with the real OB on 12/14. I decided to take the whole day off to focus on my baby!! I can't wait!!

sarah i am sooo staying with you ladies. we've been together since our babies were just embryos!

amy, i think i may have missed the NT scan. my OB said they don't do them after 14 weeks and she said they would base where i am on my most recent u/s - which means tomorrow i am 14 wks 1 day. but, she said to call the place that does it (it's not at my ob office) and ask if they can squeeze me in tomorrow. really hoping i can do that because i SO don't want to do an amnio! good idea just taking a whole 'baby' day off on 12/14.

hi ladies. are you having good days?
-miranda, am so sorry you had that terrible day. i should add the ginger biscuits if nobody has mentioned them. hope you're feeling better. so cool you are having that dopler!
-mustlovedogs - congs on your nt scan. at least you can sit back and enjoy your pregnancy without the extra worries that some of us may have to endure (am not sure they do the nt scan over here - as usual i will engineer my prayers to the big man upstairs and let him take over my worries... ha haa).
-deepa, good to hear dh's company is doing the moving worry for you. take good care of yourself and good luck in finding a good ob.
-hannah, woooow! those pics are really cool. that baby indeed has a pot like its mom. my dd is 5 going on 13 - always coming up with grown up stuff. and yes she's adorable (but ofcourse every mom will say that - you wait and see!)
-katie, i have forgotten when i actually started showing. infact like you, i thought i was really getting overweight. i can't conceal my pregnancy anymore. even if dh insists we don't tell till we have hit the 12 wk mark, many of my colleagues have noticed and have already commented. you see, i love taking good care of my body and they can't figure out why all of a sudden i look like am ready to burst out of my clothes. one of my friends insists i should go back to the gym as am becoming a 'disgrace' lol. i can't wait to see her pretty face when i let the cat out of my huge bag! i had not realized that i have a number of bottoms with elasting waists and lose strings until this happened. so am making do with those till am really ready to wear maternities. lucky enough i have a number of lose shirts that have tried to conceal the bulge. i can't wait for the whole world to see what i have under my sleeve (or should i say shirt) ha haa.

anyway - to all you june girls, am wishing you a very good day - one without m/s; flu and all those bugs. wish me luck - i have my 1st ob appointment today.
stay blessed.

nalongo I had a friend that concealed her pregnancy at work till she was 5 months (because she was dating the boss undercover) and when she finally did tell everyone said they had been talking about how fat she was getting LOL People will say anything. It will be so much fun telling all your coworkers!!
