laurie, congrats on your second beta! the 'doubling' thing is a general guideline and i wouldn't give it a second thought. your numbers look good!

lisa you are so right about the worrying never ending. tonight i feel better than last night - so of course i'm thinking, well is something wrong? i think when we're about 8 mo's along maybe we'll stop worrying! but we have to focus on the positive and think +++ thoughts, all of us! we're all doing great and each day is a blessing.

grits, i love that website !

Just talked to the nurse and asked her why my number didn't double. She had spoken with my doc and she said she suspects that the first beta showed some of the traces of my last pregnyl shot.

And, she said that they think it's a singleton.

I really don't care how many just as long as they stay put!

I had a major freak out today. I took my little doggy out for lunch(dog cafe), then we went to the pet store where we got her from and she played with her brother who is still not sold. I had started to feel some moisture down there and it just got more and more pronounced so I start having the worst thoughts. I think it's all blood and I'm having a m/c. But the worst part was that I couldn't check! There were no toilets. I decided that I needed to get home.

So, I put my dog in the car and got in, then did a quick check and it was not blood. It was just a lot of discharge(sorry, TMI).

I was so relieved. My heart was pounding so hard. i thought I was going to cry from being so scared.

All I'm thinking is: WHERE IS MY HUSBAND WHEN I NEED HIM???????

I hope I'm not alone in this paranoia. Sometimes I think I'm really going insane from all the worrying.

Laurie, I know what you mean about the constant worrying. I think it is something in the drugs they give you, or maybe because we have so much $$$ invested in it....I will not feel safe about the how many issue until I see that u/s next wed! I agree with your dr, I think it is one. And I would have had the same thought at lunch too! I am glad it was all good. While we all think about these things you must not get too worked up over them b/c it is stress on your body which is not good for the baby. Right? So relax and be happy, you are

thanks Grits for the beta site-----of course until US, I will be a tad uneasy.

Laurie-JenM mentioned that feeling of "leaking" in the beginning and I had that feeling a lot last week too, this week not so much.

We are so funny with this obsessing. Hannah, my nausea and boob thing started to die down so of course I am wondering what it wrong too. I hope this will ease up with an US and a heartbeat.

Laurie, my # did not double either. many gals gave me great info that when the # is below 1200, it should double every 48-72 hrs. of course I still worry a bit. I asked my doc when he called to congratulate me and he said many pregnancies to not double in 48hrs and it is fine.

ok, will be gone all weekend so stay postive and can't wait for the US results on Monday

Hi Everyone--Looks like we have quite a few preggos with u/s next week! That'll be nice!

Hannah--I am not really nervous about our app't--more excited, I think. When I was p/g with my DD, that was really a great moment--to see the heartbeat and to know that everything was okay. I am sure that this will put my mind at ease as well.

With my pregnancy last time, I kind of thought of it in stages. After the first u/s, I wanted to see more on the 2nd and so on. We also were able to have three 3-D scans--one for the nuchal test, one for the measurements, and one about a month before my due date (I was measuring ahead). Also, once I graduated to OB, my appt's just seemed to fly by...

By the time that I got really, really uncomfortable, it was about two weeks away from my due date. I was huuuuuuge (I gained 42 lbs without trying!)

I think that my pregnancy went by really quickly (labor was a different story!). Heck--it all goes by fast! I can't believe that our DD will be 2 in January... It's amazing.

It'll be nice to share this pregnancy with all of you. When I was p/g last time, none of my friends were, so I wasn't comparing notes with anyone. I also think that once you've been through all of the IF stuff, it really adds another layer of appreciation to the fact that you're pregnant--I know that I felt that way. I still feel so overjoyed when I am with my DD! It hasn't dimmed at all since she was born.

I was wondering where everybody went!!! Hey Y'all Missed hearing the updates!

Laurie- I have had the 'gushing' feeling more times that I can remember. it mostly happens when I wake up. Are you using the progesterone vag sup? I think alot of my "moisture" is coming from those things popping and trying to absorb.

I had my ultrasound today and there were 2 babies. one had a heartbeat already and the other didn't. my RE said that he thought that the one that didn't implanted later than the first and that we should see the heartbeat at the next appointment Friday.

I am super exited that I was able to have y'all through the IVF and can't wait for a crazy 9 months... or 35 weeks... TOGETHER

Wowie (as my DD would say)! Another set of twins! Very exciting! Congrats, Rachael! These will truly be Gemini babies--not that I'm an astrology fan...

I am sure that we'll have more twins reported after the u/s next week--I'm just feelin' it...
