I'm convinced I'm incubating the world's next soccer phenom. Our little one has started in with the kicks and yowza! It's quite different from the somersaults I had gotten used to.

On the subject of nurseries, I think I've found the bedding I want. It's yellow with pink and green circles. My walls in the nursery are already yellow. There's a nursery topic under the We're Pregnant thread that had some helpful links and ideas.

I want to get nursery accessories that are not too girly, as we hope to be lucky enough to have 2 kids and maybe the 2nd will be a boy?? So, we are looking for more gender neutral stuff.

Katie, thanks for the heads up about the nursery thread. Very cute stuff!

i love the crib pictures! so cute.

lotus, i've been calling my baby 'baby beckham' because he's kicking me so hard. today in the middle of a meeting i actually yelped out loud because it surprised me so much. it's pretty cool isn't? makes me laugh every time.

sorry to hear some of you are getting a recurrence of m/s ... remember back when we were about 8 weeks along and it was so novel to get sick? ahhh how times have changed. hope everyone is doing well!

Hi June Buddy Mommas..
How are we doing today?

Wow..the nursery and crib pictures were awesome...Thanks Lotus and Laurie...DH got some inspiration from those and wants to go baby shopping ASAP...woohoo!!

Grits...Yes I know..tigerbalm is my favourite...the only kind of balm that I apply for cold sprains etc...I am feeling much better now...I should say 90% better..
And for all the baby beckham mothers
The best news on my front is that I can finally feel my little one kick..yayy!!! How awesome is that..
All I have to do is lay straight on my back ( which btw I never do...so obsessed with sleeping on my left..)
And the baby starts the kick fiesta!

This morning at 7.30 am..thats exactly what I was doing..since my sprain was acting up..I decided that 5 mins on my back wouldnt do any harm..So here I am laying and tap...tap...constatnly !
Hari (DH) is always complaingn that whenever he tries to feel the kicks ..the baby moves away..So I said to him..this would be a good time..I pointed the correct area on my lower abdomen where i was feeling the kicks and asked him to place his face ear down ...hoping he would hear or feel it..
Bam.! there it was..almost 4 kicks in a span of 2-3 mins..
Hari was elated..smiling..grinning from ear to ear...the look on his face was Priceless
So this day has been quite nice for me so far...Also my mom will be here in the month of April..and I willhave a small Indian baby shower ceremony after all ..woohoo!!
U can see that I am quite in a talking mode today...but u girls are the only ones I chat with ...So here goes my long story for the day!!
Thanks for being there are assuring me that I would feel this baby soon enough!!!
U girls are the best!!!
Deepa

Hello Girls...

Lisa-The DVD gift from your hospital sounds wonderful. I know you will treasure that for years to come.

June-Sorry to hear about your m/s. I hope it goes away soon!

Laurie-I like the crib/colors. I can't wait to start working on my nursery now.

Deepa-That is a such a sweet story. My DH has not been able to feel the baby yet. I think he is dying to have that feeling.

Meredith-That sounds really cold. I hope you stayed warm yesterday.

Hannah-I was wondering, what did your co-workers say when you yelped out loud in that meeting? I guess it must have been funny. On the other hand, I'm still enjoying my bubbles. I know it will get rough later in the pregnancy.

Nothing else to report on this end. Hoping you are all having a Great Tuesday!

Love the cribs. I am glad you all posted ideas as it made me soften my color scheme (Thankfully, before I painted)!!!

June and Meremere I hope your M/S is not long lasting.

Grits-where do you find Tigerbalm? I want to get some.

Deepa-I loveeeeeeeeeeee your story. See, just like that and you are feeling the kicks. You are up on me because DH cannot still them thru the outside-I've only felt them a couple times thru the outside myself. His kicks are finally off the bladder and moved up a little-amazing the growth in one week-last week my bladder was a trampoline. So happy mom will be visiting you too, that will be something to look forward to and a shower after all!!!!

Martie, how the heck have you been. I was wondering about you!!! I hope all is well down there, have you found out anything or going to on gender? Hope all is well for you!

I will finally get the results from my US this Friday. Had to wait a week since the US is done separately at the hospital. Though I got to see my little boy flip and flop, I am still looking forward to some reassurance from the DOC on Friday-

Hope everybody else is doing well!!!!

hello june mommas, hope yu're all doing well.
-lisa - that u/s pic is awesome! there's certainly no mistake what gender that is!
-june - sorry about the car m/s. it must have felt like hell! hope you're doing better now.
-laurie - congs on your little girls! how wonderful! go pinkie...
-miranda -like deepa, am not doing the nursery. we may have to shift from where we live - am not looking forward to such moves right now, but it may be inevitable. even when we do shift, i may do the bassinet thingie for the 1st few weeks while we plan. but it must be so exciting to pick the colours and do the nursery. i feel terrible that i can't do that now - i always like to plan earlier ....
-mldogs - sorry about the infection. hope you're better now.
-deepa - sorry about the sprain. thank God you're now 90% better. yippee about your baby shower.
-katie - those nursery pics are fabulous! wow! i could stay there all day and all night.
-hannah- i would have loved to see your workmates' reactions on the baby kicks!

seems most of the girls are soon hitting the half-way mark. congs! am already fidgeting about the best sleeping positions in my bed. i wonder how i will be when am much bigger. i think i should also post my belly pic soon as i've worked out the technical bits.

to all of you beautiful june mommas, have a nice day.

wow, gone for a couple days, and i have about 5 pages of updates....lol

crazy weekend, ended up in the labor and delivery suite overnight on friday. i had really strong, bad lower abdominal cramps, turns out i was dehydrated (?!) which didn't make sense to me because i hadn't been sick. so i got an IV and some fluids and stuff seemed to calm down. i never had "true" contractions, and my cervix remained shut, so thank the lord for all of that. so i've been on semi-bedrest all week. doc also said no more back to back 12 hour shifts anymore and cut back on my hours (im a nurse...) i figured this might happen, but i didn't know it would happen so soon. ugh. but thankfully, no reoccurance of the pain, and my little kickers are kicking up a storm, which always makes me smile.

dominik and bella are giving their mommy a hard time already! i just want them to stay in until may. that is my goal. longer, hopefully...

ladies, i hope all is well with you all. congrats on all of the recent ultrasounds!!!! and all the nursery ideas are great!!

sarah i'm so glad everything is ok! i've heard it is easy to get dehydrated in pregnancy, but thought that was mostly from vomiting. anyway, thank goodness you went in - make sure you start carrying a big water bottle with you at all times.

mustlovedogs ... when i yelped in the meeting, everyone just turned and stared at me. of course it was all men. so i had to say, sorry i just got walloped. fortunately they thought it was funny. i didn't really start feeling the REAL kicks until the last week- i'm guessing your bubbles will turn to soccer kicks in the next few days too.

Hey there ladies! WOW I have been out of the loop a few days now (had a nasty stomach flu or something! uugggg -really sucked!) but feeling much better now.

Laurie congratulations on the girls!!!!!!

I had my level 2 ultrasound and all looks perfect and right on schedule!

We are still looking at nursery theme's but I was thinking maybe a beach/tropical/hawaii theme of some sort. It has to be unisex.

Attached is a picture of the furniture we are getting for baby room. The bed converts to a toddler bed and then to a full size bed. The only difference is we are getting all the furniture in antique black and not brown as shown in picture.
