Lacy I hope you are feeling better! Yuck! the pic is beautiful!
I wanted to give everyone a update, I had a Dr appointment yesterday all is ok! I have had a "odor" issue and turns out I have a yeast infection, so meds should help that fast! Other then that all is good! I do know that at 24 weeks I am having to change Dr's. Mind is dropping the OB part in March ( you would have thought he would have told me that when I started to go to see him for the first time in November, he announced it in December!!!) so I am new to the area, new Dr and getting dropped! I went to the new Dr yesterday that the current Dr is sending me to and set the appointment. The strange thing is one of the nurses at the new Dr is the person we, DH and I bought our house from. I walked in and said hi Christy she looked at me realized who I was and thought I was there becuase of a issue with the house! I explanied to her what was happening and she was all smiles when she found out I was to be a new patient!
I am glad that I can still keep my specialist though, not only is he REALLY CUTE but Dh loves him too becuse he is British as is DH. A bond they share!
I have my 20 week on Feb 7th next week a few days early and I am looking forward to seeing Jason again! I wish we could have U/S everytime we go in! Yesterday was the sonogram and as special as it is to hear the heartbeat I love seeing him move even more.
The one thing they are now watching me for is weight gain, due to the M/S I have not been gaining weight I am 18 wk 4 days and have only gained 3 lbs........... I am not a small woman at the start of this one so I am loosing somewhere else because the tummy is starting to pop put there, I will try to eat more but with the MS I hate eating!!! Anyway! thanks for listenting and I will talk to you all later!

Hello/nursery theme

Meredith-I had the same thing last week. It is just awful, and it seems that we prego ladies are more prone to get them. I hope you get to feel better soon.

Lacy-I was wondering where were you at. I'm sorry to hear that you were sick. Glad you are feeling better.

Brettsbabe-Sorry to hear about your ordeal w/cramps/dehydration. I bet those 12 hours are a killer. Glad to hear both babies are kicking up a storm.

Hannah-Good to hear that your co-workers (guys) understood and found it funny.

Miranda-Here are some ideas for the nursery. I really like the baby blue color on the wall, and I'm picking white furniture. I'm also thinking about installing white shutters on the windows as I don't want any blinds/strings in that bedroom (safety issues). I am torn now b/w the yellow bedding and the sea theme one (I really love dolphins). We'll see...

Niki, Lisa, Deepa and all the other June ladies. Hope you are having a great Wednesday.

Hi Girls..
Just a quick update on my front..For most part my level 2 ultrasound went good...well..until we reached the kidney part...
My Obgyn explained that the ureter in the right kidney is dilated and in her words " I wouldnt worry too much about this..but I am referring u to a high risk ob"
Ughh....I have been so down the entire day!
I just got home and have been googling this thing like crazy....Seems like a lot of prenatal ultrasounds detect it and a lot of times it resolves on its own..or thats what the websites say anywyas..
I am hoping thats exactly the case with my little guy..
Not exactly the day I was hoping for ...but everyhing else looked perfect...and its confirmed...its a BOY

I am happy about the baby ...and sad a little that..this new thing has come up...my ob will set up my high risk ob appt and let me know..so till then I am in limbo...

Sorry am not feeling upto it right..now!
I will try post later..U girls take care
Hugs!
Deepa

Deepa-try not to worry too much about the kidney. I think we know too much these days between the sonos we receive and Dr. Google. I sometimes wonder if it wasn't a better time when our mothers had us-they didn't even know to worry about things because they didn't have all the technology that we do now. I'm sure your little boy will be just fine! Which reminds me, congrats on the boy!

Martie, how the heck have you been. I was wondering about you!!! I hope all is well down there, have you found out anything or going to on gender? Hope all is well for you!

Well Lisa we find out on Friday I hope. I am kinda nervous about this ultrasound for some weird reason. Things have been going great here I really like being pregnant in the winter because I have the worst high flashes so at least I can cool down if I get hot. Sometime when we are up north we will have to get together. We usually come up at least 2 times a year for a week at a time but we may go up more once the baby is here not sure how much "free" time we will have then.

Sarah, my stomach was in knots reading your about your scare. Going into pre-term labor is my worst fear esp. after my SIL went through it. So glad things are ok. 12 hr shifts are really rough on twin mommies(not to mention non-prego people) so take it easy when you can.

Kris, it really is scary how easy it is to get dehydrated when we're pregnant. If I don't drink something every 20 mins, I feel parched. I'll have to take your suggestion and carry water with me everywhere.

Lacy, love your crib suite. At first, I didn't like the color, then you mentioned you were getting antique black and then it all made sense. It'll be such a smart looking nursery. What color bedding/walls are you going to have?

ML, I love the white furniture/baby blue wall color theme. The pic of the furniture I'm getting has that theme going on and it's beautiful. I'll post it for your further inspiration. As for the bedding, it's a hard choice to make because they are super expensive. There's a pic of the bedding I'm getting, but I hate the pic that they took. It's just overkill of that print and you can't see the beautiful aqua color that is mixed in w/the chocolate and beige.

Deepa, I'm with Lotus on your baby's issue. Sometimes too much info is a bad thing. I'm sure as your baby grows, it will work itself out. Congrats on having a boy!!!!! I'm sure your DH is just thrilled.

My DH felt the babies for the first time last night. I was just so frustrated that he hasn't had that experience yet, so I laid on my back and jiggled the spots where they had kicked before and took his hand and pressed it into those spots. He could feel the 'thump, thump, thump' I was so happy. The thumps are not very strong right now, but I'm hoping DH and babies get to 'bond' very soon.

Martie, good luck on your u/s this friday. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. I say that, but I'm nervous about mine, too. I'll have to ask the nurse what time I have to fast for my glucose test.

deepa, i'm so sorry you had to have that worry today - but he will be okay. i'm sure of it. like the others said, these days we just find out EVERYTHING because of the advanced technology. but it doesn't mean anything is going to be wrong. sometimes i think ignorance would be bliss. i think it's great you'll be going to a high-risk ob, it can't hurt and having the extra attention to your little one will put you at ease. congrats on having a boy - i think it's wonderful!

lacy i'm doing antique black for my nursery too! can i ask where your set is coming from? i saw a really pretty dresser and matching crib at babies R us - a little expensive but i think worth it right??

all of these nursery pictures are fun. i love seeing everyone's ideas - laurie those pictures are so pretty!

ok so i have to tell you guys something cute - no one else will understand but a bunch of pregnant girls. last night i was talking to my baby (everyone does that right??) and telling him all about his new room. as i was talking to him, he started going thump-thump. thump-thump. it was so utterly precious. i felt like he was responding to me. ok he probably wasn't, but it seemed that way. SO CUTE.

Deepa-Sweetheart, it is probably better said than done but try not to feel so sad. I really believe your little boy will be alright...I'll be praying for him ok. By the way, Congratulations on your baby being a boy.

Marti, I hope you have good u/s tomorrow. Keep us posted.

Laurie, Love the nursery pictures. On the other hand, I bet your DH was happy to feel the babies. My poor DH has a stetoscope, and he is being trying to hear a HB or at least feel a kick but nothing. Hopefully it will happen for him soon. It is such an amazing feeling

Hannah-I do talk to my little girl as well. I mainly tell her to stay put until it is time to get out. She has yet to kick me back. I bet that response kick from your little boy was awesome!

Kris-of course your little boy was responding to you! I read that the amniotic fluid magnifies the mother's voice by something like 5 decibels and at the same time drowns out outside noises.

Laurie-my DH would be so jealous of your DH! Everytime I call him over to feel my belly because the baby is kicking around, she stops as soon as he gets over there. He's so frustrated right now. I keep telling him he'll feel her eventually, but it's small consolation at the time. <sigh> Maybe tonight will be the night...

My nursery furniture is antique black with black and white toile bedding

Lacy, I have never listened to a podcast, I may have to check it out. Thanks.

Deepa I would not worry too much yet. And you should probably stop googling! Sometimes these things have a way of working themselves out, especially with prayer I will pray too.

I love the podcasts .... I usually listen to talk radio as I get SO tried of same music on radio. I am in my car a lot! And talk radio makes me wanna scream sometimes!!!!!!!! So now I listen to wonderful podcasts and not to mention I learn a ton of stuff about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, babies, etc.

Grits I love the bed!!! I really seem to like antique black I guess.
