oh what a day!!!!
This am ( this is a little TMI sorry) I noticed my Pj's were "wet" feeling, so I went to the restroom....... shock I was emitting white stuff in large amounts! I freaked out called the Dr talked to the head nurse she said the med I got for the yeast infection should not do that to get in as soon as I could. So I jumped in the shower, and dashed out of the house in 30 minutes to the Dr. They saw me right away, said Oh it is the yeast infection, I have a doozie of one ( never had one before!) then put me on monostat as well as the other med. BUT then tell me well you have a high number of white blood cells in your urine so they took blood to check me for gustational ( how ever you spell it) diabetes and sent me home to rest! REST????? The phone was off the hook today, the door bell rang a few times, the dogs barked and played and I think everyone that has my phone number called me. You would think they do not get me on my cell they would leave a message, they did then they hung up and called the house, this set the dogs barking the cat was mad because he was laying on me napping and I had to get up to get the phone!!! Now I have to wait until tomorrow to see the results of the blood work and worry about it. If it is positive then what? Anyone have or know what they do for diabetes in pregnancy? I have been good, not gained a lot of weight but I am worried still because I am not small starting this jourey!!! Sorry to never have good news on here............. oh but I do I forgot my In-laws are not being really really nice, and they want to buy the crib and changing table/dresser for us!!! i am not sure why the change in heart but I am not going to question it!!!
Thanks for listening ladies! Saturday is my anniversary and I am just looking forward to something happy!! A nice dinner and a movie! Yipee! We have been banned from being romantic together in bed so I feel bad for my DH, this has been since October and they have no end date for this, could be when the baby is born and I recover from the surgery!!! I am telling you things have to get easier after the pregnancy with all the "junk" we have gone through durring it!!!

What a day, Meredith! I was so tired just reading your post. I hope you don't have GD. I think no one on our thread has it thus far, right? Yeast infections are nasty things and you're lucky to have gone through life thusfar not having had one. I guess with our elevated everything, it's pretty easy for one to start. Hopefully it will clear in a few days.

Kris, I think that is so sweet. Of course, it's not cheesy or anything. Just think how much you will talk to your son once he's out! I have to say that I haven't been talking to my babies at all. More like silent communication, really. I should start. DH and I do a lot of talking about them, but not to them.

Grits, can't believe you got all that stuff in a day! Way to go! Can't wait to see your nursery pic. I think the black/white toile is so chic!

Lacy, I'll have to check out that podcast. Thanks!

Deepa, that's a good thing to be prepared and ask lots and lots of questions. And you have plenty of time to get all the nursery gear before the baby comes. Don't fret too much, ok?

I'm finding this resting at home stuff really really boring. Ugh. I'm so not this kind of person. I can only do absolutely nothing on a beach holiday. I hope this gets easier.

One of my SIL's twins has bleeding in his brain. He had bleeding in the brain before on one side, now it's on the other. He's the one that has had the heart surgery. The doctor's have said that permanent brain damage is very likely, but we're hoping for a miracle. The other one is having his surgery soon or has had it, but I haven't heard about him yet. Their names are Patrick and Edward. It's so difficult to be able to do nothing for them.

DH is going to nyc on a business trip and he'll be able to see his sister and BIL and hopefully the babies, too. I wish I could go.

Daysi, I like the colors in the bedding. I love yellow too! The shutter thing is a great idea.

Martie, Good Luck today!!

Meredith, bummer about the YI. Like we do not have enough body issues to deal with huh!? I hope you and DH have a nice anniversary. Things can be even more romantic without sex sometimes with a little effort.

Laurie, I am so sad for your SIL
As for the baby stuff, I have had it all picked out for a while justing waiting.........

Hi Girls- Hope you all have been well. Have missed so much the past few days.

Laurie- I am so sorry about you SILs twins. Sounds like they cannot catch a break! I hope the little ones are ok in the long run.

Meredith- Sorry about your yeasty! I have never had one either (knock wood!), but I hear they are terribly uncomfortable.

Martie- can't wait to hear about your u/s!

Grits- you really did take the plunge! Good for you! I fel like we are so far away to being able to buy all of that stuff. We have a few closets to finish and walls to paint before we get there.

Deepa- Hope you have stopped Googling! Keep thinking positive thoughts.

Lacy- thanks for the info about tghe podcasts! Now I will hve something to listen to on the train into work.

Well, I finally felt the baby kick a few times over the past few days. It is pretty cool. DH likes to shake my belly and waker her up He cannot feel her yet...too much belly fat for that to happen! But, he likes to know when it is happening. Still having the m/s, but it seems to be slowing down a bit.

Hope all of you June girls are feeling fine. Is everyone geared up for the superbowl on Sunday?? Go Pats!!!

Yipee!!! The Dr called to check on me and also said my blood work came back perfect for GD! the range is 66-99 to NOT have it and I am at 76! they said that also means that I have a lower chance of having it later in the pregnancy but have the yucky drink test at 28 weeks! We shall see from there! That made my day! I can tell you I did not sleep well last night thinking about it!!! WHEW!

Hey ladies!!! I have two kickers!!! I am so excited. I found the trigger..... pepsi!!! I drink pepsi, my babies move and kick. I can feel it both inside and out. My DH was home yesterday and got to feel it for the first time. It was funny... I didn't want to drink pepsi so late at night b/c of the bathroom trips but I did it for him anyway. He would talk to them, put his hand on my tummy and they would kick him. I was so happy that he got to experience that. My sister said that her DH didn't ever feel one of their boys so I consider my DH lucky!!!

Meredith- I have had high sugar levels at my OB apts. but I was able to correct it with diet. Last time I went it was normal. My glucose testing is in three weeks and that will tell all. I also had a nasty yeast infection early on in this journey. Like you, I had never had one. I was so embarrassed when my OB said that was the problem b/c I'm 31 and didn't know!!! I hope you get to feeling better. Stay away from sugars, starches, and white bread. I use splenda for sweeteners and only eat wheat bread and whole grain products. Good luck.

Grits- I love the antique black. I went with Cherry furniture... I almost wish I would have chosen black after seeing some of your pictures.

Happy FRIDAY ladies!!!! Counting down til I can nap the weekend away. I'm EXHAUSTED!!!!!

Christy

Yeah Meredith!

June Sorry you are still having m/s. But isn't it great to feel the baby!?

Okay I must have early nesting.....I just spent the morning rearranging my daughter's room/ bonus room, so I can turn the bonus/play room into the nursery. All dd toys and dolls are now in her own room, and all that is left in the bonus room is a night stand, daybed and a bookshelf. She might not be too happy when she gets home........This extra room is actually attached to her room, so I will have to go through her room to get to the nursery....but it is all we have for the baby so she will have to get over it.

hey girls, hope everyone had a good week and that you are as happy it's friday as i am. i need a long, long NAP.

that's funny about drinking soda and making the babies kick - i've noticed mine kicks after i drink something sweet too. it's so freaking cute. i don't know if you guys have noticed sleeping patterns yet - but i really am starting to the last few days. he wakes up at the same times every day- 630-700 a.m., then again around lunch, then mid afternoon, then after dinner. omg i am in love, have i said that before?

meredith, i'm glad you don't have GD (it took me awhile to figure out what that meant!) .

laurie, i am so sad about your nephew having bleeding in his brain. i hope they are wrong about the brain damage. i just think about them so often and think every day that goes by is good because they are 1 day bigger. i've been really focusing on the next big benchmark for all of us - which is 24-28 weeks, when they are really viable. we are so close!

Went to the beach today with a neighbor and our two dogs. It was really nice to get out. It rained on us, though, so that wasn't so nice. I took a too big bag for me to carry. I instantly regretted it. I'm going to have to look into those beach wheely travellers that I saw some families lugging around last year in the states.

Martie? Are you not telling us? Do we have to guess? I'm so glad you got the u/s appt and your pics are too cute. I love the foot!

Meredith, so glad you don't have GD. I'm hoping I don't have it either.

Christy, congrats on your two kickers! I've noticed mine are really active in the early morning(probably cause they're hungry) and at night after dinner.

Kris, that's so cute you have noticed your boy's schedule. I can't wait till we all have our babies and share their pics.

It's a really tough situation for my nephews, but I'm so glad they are here. I want them to keep fighting.

I skipped ahead in my preg book to weeks30+. I am so excited. I can't wait til 37 wks. I'm so looking forward to meeting my girls. We're trying to come up with some names.

DH decided he didn't like Ava, so we came up with potentials: Naomi Elizabeth and Lily Michelle. I'm not sure at this point whether we will go with those names or not, but they are in the running.
