mnobles- I'm sorry that your not feeling well right now. I would stay away from cough syrup. I don't know of any that are safe during pregnancy. I always stay away from meds while preg unless I have a fever. I hope you feel better soon, try to rest and drink O.J.
Also good luck at your u/s today!

Glad to hear that we are growing in numbers again!!!!! How many of us are there?

mattsmom- I agree with if we have a boy we will be set and if we have a girl we will have a lot of shopping to do. I am buying 1 boy's and 1 girl's newborn outfit for the hospital. Then I am hoping that my MIL and my mother (who will be here from Flordia) will buy some girly clothes if it is a girl.

This is funny but not- I am drinking Ensure plus with extra calories. Who'd ever think that I would be trying to put on weight! It tastes gross!

2nd U/S

All looks good so far!! The jellybean is measuring right on target. My RE says he only wants to see me one more time and then I am off to the OB and off the shots. Which kinda makes me nervous to be off the PIO and estrogen at 9-10 weeks. I am sure he knows what he is doing!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, mnobles. Maybe you are having girls!!

Have a great day everyone!

Jess

Shannon -
I am trying to supplement my protein since I am a vegetarian. Do you ever wonder if we are getting too many vitamins? Is that even possible? I know the protein supplement has extra vitamins and minerals. I meant to ask my RE about that today.

I know I probably think too much...

mattsmom-congrats on your u/s that must be exciting to be graduating to your OB soon. I have my next u/s next wed (1/30) and if all looks good I go to my OB on Feb 6th. That is going to be a great day because of my appt and then dh and I are taking the boys to see the Lion King (the musical/play).

I know what you mean about vitamins. My RE said the the prenatal is all you need and don't exceed 10,000mg of vitamin A. Getting vitamins from food sources is okay. I'm sure the extra protein is okay just watch how much vit A is in it.

Thanks so much Shannon for the insight on vitamin A. I didn't know that!

The Lion King will be a lot of fun for your boys. It's a great show! Enjoy!

This forum has been so busy with lots of great news and 's announcements!!! I love it. I just want to say that if I somehow miss congratulating someone please do not take it personal. I am so happy for all of you!! I am trying to keep up but I am suffering from 'prego brain'.

Shannon, I love Brayden for a name. I would definitly find out the sex of our babies. My MIL thinks I am having a girl. Boys run in my DH family...his brother has 2 boys. I will be happy with whatever I get. i am a planner too so I do want to know ahead of time.

Christine and mnobles, I hope you are feeling healthy soon!!

MattsMom congratulaitons on your u/s.. Being a vegetarian do you eat dairy products and eggs? Cottage cheese is high in protein. Be sure to eat lots of cheese, yogurt, beans and nuts. I just ordered some protein bars and powder mix today. I had some powder I bought at a health food store, but after reading that the ingredients included artificial sweetener and there was a small print warning saying - "not to take will pregnant" (that I could only read with a magnifying glass) I tossed the powder. I bought some protein powder and bars from a place that specializes in nutritional supplements for fertility and pregnancy. All I can say is read the labels. I know a bit of artifical sweetener will not hurt you but if I am going to do that I will have something that really taste good!!! Like a diet pepsi.

I am going to see a nutritionist soon because with 3 little beans I am sure I need a lot more protein. I have read between 140 and 200 grams. Wholy cow!

Hey Shelley -

Thanks for the input. What bars and mix did you buy? I would love to know what you are using.

I do eat some dairy. I have tried to start eating eggs over the past few months too. Cottage cheese is good idea too! I need to boost and watch how much protein I eat a day. It's funny cause I feel like it's all I eat

I know what you mean. Before I eat something I think about if it has protein in it. I even looked for protein in the labels when I was grocery shopping. Some bread has more protein then others! Peanut butter and almond butter is also good to add to your diet. I was surprised how much protein is in cottage cheese. Here is the like to where I buy my vitamins and protein bars and powder. I think they only sell online...not sure? Dr. Wilson also did my acupuncture.

Welcome to East West Essentials

Good luck. Happy eating!!

Look at all this activity!!!

Melissa - i got sick this weekend in San Antonio - maybe it was in the air or something.

I am actually feel 100 times better and just over all hungry all the time.

We are adding 2 more ladies who just got their BFP's today! I think with their beta's they might also be having twins

It has been a really long day at work today - so i didnt even get a chance to check the forum.....

i use a liquid vitimin as a supplement - as it is absorbed better by the body, it doesnt need to be broken down in the stomach before being released to the body..........i love it and it tastes like a litte shot of juice.

Hey Girls! Sounds like everyone is doing good!

I'm having a hard time finding any food right now that actually sounds good to eat. I wish I could eat, but when I try to find something, it never looks or sounds good. Then I get home from work and get sick once or twice and can hardly eat anything for the rest of the night and am in bed by 7pm!! Saltine crackers seem to be my best friend right now. I'm thinking of trying those ensure drinks or something similar as I feel like I'm not getting enough to eat during the day. Anything else I can do? I hope this nausea ends soon, but I told my DH, I'll deal with it! I'm just so overjoyed its finally my turn to be pregnant and go thru all of this!

I'm thinking of taking the day off tomorrow. My DH is going snowmobiling, so I'm heading to my parents house for the weekend. It would be nice to have another day to sleep in! I love sleep!!

Binkie- I'm sorrry that you have morning sickness too. I am living off of ensure and prego pops. The prego pops have ginger in them and really help. If I can keep 2 ensures down a day it is a success! They sell prego pops at babiesrus and motherhood/mimi. Hope you feel better soon.

Christine- I'm glad your feeling better too! Who are the 2 girls with there recent BFP's?
