Shellie - i hope that stone passes quickly and you can go back to enjoying this pregnancy!

Shelley - no calms before any storms here!!!

Sarah - thank goodness not amniotic fluid! hopefully since you woke up so early - you can actually get a whole nights sleep tonight.

Alana - have a wonderful time in NYC!!!! can't wait to hear about all the fun and see your pictures

Amy - sorry about the ear infection....as for organization - well, we keep putting her room off and there is really not much left to do.

We realized yesterday that we packed our hospital bag and well forgot to pack anything for Aedyn - nothing, nada, zip!
so tonight i will pack her a bag.....how awful that we would forget the most important person!

Have a great friday and weekend!!!

Amy - I had a doctor's appointment today (I know, another one!!! - but today was the GD test) and he mentioned that because of the fibroids and twins that he is thinking we will probably deliver at more like 32/33 weeks rather than the 36/37 I was thinking so I started to panic about my lack of stuff too! I don't really have anything - we have cribs but they are still in boxes, a changing table and a glider and about two outfits each!!! Luckily we are having our showers soon - one on the 12th of July and the other on the 19th so hopefully once we get some of those gifts I will feel more prepared!

Shelley-glad to hear everything went well, I cannot believe you are almost 30 weeks already! Did they check weights again? I bet they are getting crowded with three of them and at the sizes they were last time I can only imagine what it is like now!

Christine-thats too cute that you forgot the baby's things! When should you start packing a bag? It's kinda weird that we are at that point already! Seems like just yesterday that we got postive pregnancy tests!

Amy-glad to hear you are feeling better!

Shellie-you will get everything you need done, dont worry! I bet you will get tons of things at your shower, its only a few weeks away already, wahoo!!! Are you being induced or is that just when your doctor thinks you will go into labor?

Alana-have fun this weekend!

So today was a very looooong day, I went to work and literally sat around for three hours because there was nothing left to do and so my boss kicked everyone out and we are still getting paid for a whole day so I wont argue. But then my aunt, who just had surgery, is having a grad party for my cousin needed someone to take her to sams club and I ended up pushing a heaping cart around for almost an hour and then went back to her house to make literally twenty pounds of pasta salad and a fruit platter! Hope I didnt overdue it and hurt the baby, but so far he seems ok, good hb and moving a little...tonight is an early bedtime and tomorrow I am doing nothing!!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sarah - we decided to pack our bag after having a few hard contractions - thought we should be prepared for pre-term labor again.

I decided to just pack her diaper bag for us to bring with, so we will have everything we should need.

this time around, we are waiting quite a bit longer for the shower.

the ladies at work are doing one on july 27 and the ladies at church are doing one on aug 2.....then we will be pretty ready to have this little girl any time

Hi ladies,

Finally have time to check in here. Love the photos; Jill and Elisa, you both look great!

Shellie: I'm so sorry to hear about the kidney stones and thankfully you can take the meds..is there any other treatment, resolution or do you have to wait for them to pass? Very glad to hear the positive news about your cervix. Hang in there! As for your doc's mention you may deliver 32/33 wks...does that mean you'll be scheduled for a C-section or just guess you'll go into spontaneous labor at that time? My OB has not even talked to me about any of that yet, so now I'm nervous.

Shelley: Loved your perfect thank you cards and bet your friends will get a kick out of receiving them. Glad to hear you're all ready for the babies. Are you still on modified bedrest? Good for you for your hard work on diet!

SarahElaine: Wanted to commiserate on the insomnia: me too, and lots of leg aches. Sometimes I have heavier discharge, but my books say that is normal. It seems every day brings something new on this adventure. Enjoy your time off from work!!

Alana: Have fun in NYC this weekend, it will be a good change of scenery, I'm sure. I'm meeting my new OB tomorrow and am hopeful, but can relate to what you're saying. My nurse practitioner, who I see on most monthly appts is so blase, I have to ask for information about classes, books, etc. She recommended Dr. Spock. I did get that yesterday, also the Happiest Baby on the Block, which I'm halfway through and has given me a measure of confidence on calming a crying baby. It's very cool to get the baby's perspective. On youtube we found a few demo videos of the method and even my husband is looking forward to trying it.

I was wondering about the waterproof sheets and how you use them...for safety I know we are to keep it streamlined in the bedding, but was wondering if I need a waterproof pad underneath the fitted sheet as the mattress is waterproof, or to use the pads you put on top of the sheet, which do not cover the entire surface. I'll look into the ultimate crib sheets, thanks for the tip!!

I did finally buy some onesies, although just a few because they are for newborns and after washing and drying they are quite small. Granted our babies will likely be small, but you never know!! Did you hear about the woman who just gave birth to twins that weighed a total of 23 lbs? Wow...
Also bought a few pretty onesies, diapers (newborn). We're planning on getting some basics for their arrival and then taking it from there as far as sizes, what they like, etc. (e.g. bouncer seats, etc.) I'm also interested in finding a sling or carrier for twins that I can use for the first few months because I really want to go with the close contact, if I can manage it.

Also, signed up for a Parenting Multiples class, which we're REALLY' ooking forward to.

Wishing you all a great, healthy and COOL week!!

Justine-I second the legs too! and my hips are starting to ache if I lay on one side for too long, so I literally toss and turn all night! And I hope your appt goes well tomorrow, it is hard to find a doctor who is compentent and personable! I was just talking with my friend about this and it seems like the ones who know their stuff have horrible bedside manner and the ones who have great bedside manner dont seem as knowledgable...

Christine-yaaay for two showers! How exciting and I bet you will get a ton of stuff!

So I either have a bug or a sinus infection and a case of the not so pleasant bathroom issues...I have been hit by a double wammy! Good thing I dont have to go to work now, tomorrow will be spent laying on the couch and what better excuse not to do housework! Anyone else having these issues? I read somewhere both could be signs of an increase in hormones, so hopefully that is all it is because I am no fun when I am sick!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Justine, how exciting to begin to buy things for the baby. I know what you mean about the newborn onesies being small after your wash and dry them. I bought some preemie clothing and newborn clothing. I also received a bunch of newborn onesies at my shower. I am beginning to have too many preemie onesies but you never know. I may need a lot in the beginning!!

Sarah, I hope you are feeling better soon! I have had sinus issues since I became pregnant. I hope it goes away after the babies are born. My doctor told me it was ok to take sinutab but it really does not work for me, so I suffer and sound like kermit the frog most days....

Yep, I am still on moderate rest. I spend my days on the loveseat recliner. My DH is always telling me to sit down when he is home because I have a hard time sitting still for very long. This weekend I got a leather rocker recliner!! I did not want a little glider for the babies. I wanted something larger. that was comfortable and rocked and reclined. It is really comfortable!!! I originally was going to get a light cream one but I figured it would get dirty too quickly with 3 babies throwing up and stuff being spilled on it. That is also why I wanted leather. It is brown, not my favorite color but it actually does look nice with our other colors.

Justine, you and your baby bump look very beautiful. I don't think you look very big at all. You are carrying the twins very well. Thanks for sharing! You look great!

Justine-aww look how cute your bump is! And I agree with Shelley that you look great for twins!

Shelley-I love the recliner idea! And it looks like it will be very comfy and big enough to hold two babies at one time too! I too have given up on the sinus tablets...they do very little, partially because I am afraid to take a whole dose but even then I figure if it is hormones then nothing much will help anyway! LOL, kermit the frog, everyone who talks to me on the phone keeps asking me if I am sick so I must sound the same as you!

WAHOOOOO!!! No more work, my first official day off and I was able to sleep in until 8! I literally slept for almost 12 hours and I feel so good this morning! I wonder if I did have something too because my stuffiness is down and so is the other thing and maybe all I needed was a little rest and time to recoup. Hopefully I am not jinxing myself! Have a great monday ladies!

YAY Sarah for days off!!! It happened at the perfect time in your pregnancy. Your baby will love all the rest you can get. Mine decided to have a party with a bit of break dancing at 3 am! At least they are moving, it makes me nervous when I don't feel them.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Shelley-I am a little worried about going back to work in September seeing as how I will be 8 months preggo but I agree this break could not have happened at a better time! I will be able to get soooo much done and organized before the baby comes. I get nervous too when he doesnt move and while it is slightly inconvenient to have those 3 am parties it is def. reassuring to know he is still there and moving away, especially since I have been sick lately and he has been super quiet, I doppler like two or three times a day! I cannot imagine what it must be like to have three in there...do they all move at the same time or do they all have different schedules?

I have to edit this entry because I just went to check out the other threads and my belly kept jiggling...i stopped and realized that he is kicking or hitting me and every time I felt him do it my belly jiggled! Hehe, it is just tooo cool!!!

Whenever I get an u/s they are all moving at the same time but I mostly feel movement on my top and right side where the boys are. The boys are really active. Sometimes the kicking on my side feels like they are trying to move to my back!! It is amazing how far the uterus can stretch. I have a gumby uterus

I don't feel the girl as much even though she is the largest. She is really low, head done and turned facing my back. I have felt her kick my bladder.
