ALana-glad to hear everything is working out, looks like your other doc moving was a blessing in disguise!

Jill-as for curtains if you have a sewing machine it is pretty simple to make your own and that way you can pick from a lot of different materials, thats what I did. But JC Penny is a great place to get curtains, but look for the sales because they can also be expensive. My friend spent like 100 dollars a window when she first moved into her house and it just seemed like a lot to me for two panels!

MMMMM a chocolate bar sounds so good!!! But I had a frosty on the way home from our second baby class, so I better resist! Well I am off to bed to wake up this baby, he has been super quiet today and it makes me worry and of course we just sent the doppler back two days ago, ugh!! I have found that if I put my knees up to my belly he doesnt like it too much and kicks me really hard so I am going to irritate him a little!

Too funny - I am going to have to try to find a way to irritate them! The doppler is troublesome at this point - I have a really hard time finding them and when I do they move shortly thereafter and it is only a brief second that I get them. Maybe it will be easier after the ultrasound since I will have a better idea where they are - I can usually find him because I know he is up high and pushing against my ribs but I think their arms and legs are all jumbled up in the middle and I can't really distinguish her or tell exactly where she is. They are both shifting to the right side to make me pretty lopsided!

Sarah, I love your nursery!!! You and DH did a really good job. The love the bedding...I see a monkey!! heehee. The colors really look good together. I know you have been waiting for it to be done and it looks like it was worth the wait. You did a good job on the closet too. I love the wood floors too. I wish we had wood floors in the nursery. Not only do they look great but they are easier to clean.

Elisa, that looks to be a great website for baby onesies and t-shirts. I do like the worth every penny onesies.

Alana, it sounds like you are in really good hands now with your new OB. I am so happy for you because I know how unhappy you were with the other one. Wow you might deliver at 36 or 37 weeks??? That is really soon!!

You girls are making my mouth water with all the talk about frostys and chocolate bars. I have been craving a piece of cake or a cupcake. It gives me something to look forward to.

My scan and doctors appointment went well today. The babies are 4 lbs 1 oz, 4 lbs and 3 lbs 9 oz. The one boy is on the small side for a singeton but my doctor said for triplets he was happy with all their weights. My cervix is also still long and closed, the same as it was a month ago. Next week the doctor is going to talk more about a delivery date. He is very impressed with how well both me and the babies are doing and would like us to go as long as we can. At 36 weeks he woud like to plan a c-section. I am relieved that my blood pressure is still good. Yay!

Hey everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA. After getting back from vacation I was just trying to catch up around the house and catch up with all the posts!

DH and I had a great time in Florida. We did alot of relaxing on the beach (in the shade under the palm trees) and by the pool. I have attached a few pics of DH and I at the beach. (28weeks)

Sarah- The nursery looks great. We are still waiting for the furniture. We called at the beginning of the wee and were told that the manufacture had shipped it. So we shall see.

Shelley- Great weights for your little ones!!!!!!

I can relate to those who are getting too big or too small comments. Apparently I am too large. Strangers ask me if I am having twins. And I reply, No there is just one in there. And they come back with are you sure????

I had my first stranger rub me belly. We were shopping at the grocery store in Florida and she jsut walked up to me and started rubbing my stomach. She didn't even ask. That was REALLY strange!!! I can't even imagining walking up to anyone and just rubbing their stomach, especially a complete stranger .

I am going to join in with insomnia group. Some nights I feel like all I do is toss and turn from my left side to me right side. And there have been quite a few nights that I wake up at 1 or 3 in the morning and can not fall back to sleep. Since I am a teacher and have the summer off I can take naps during the day. I don't know how you ladies do it with having to work and/or take care of your other children. I am dreading school starting at the end of August. I can only imagine how I will be feeling!

As for the cravings. I have not been craving too many things... but the other night I was craving a funnel cake. So DH got online to find if any surrounding towns were having carnivals. The closes one was half hour away (right over the state line) so we hopped in the car to go get a funnel cake. Well as we were approaching the town..traffic was at a dead stop (they were having a parade) so we sat there for fifteen minutes. The carnival was SO packed. We bought a funnel cake for me and DH got a sandwich and then left!!!!!!!!! It was all worth it. It was the best funnel cake ever!!!!!!!

Shellie-I was finding the same thing with the doppler, part of the reson we decided to send it back...first it was very hard to find his hb, and then once I found it I could barely get a reading before he moved and I lost it...try putting your knees up just to see if it works, it was a fluke thing and I was stretching in bed and realized everytime I did it he kicked back, also when I have something on top of my belly, like my book when I am reading, he kicks that too! I loooove the lopsided belly, it just makes me smile when I see mine do that because it is just so funny!

Shelley-wow those are great weights! And the smaller boy is not that much behind the others and maybe they are mismeasuring...but I am sooo impressed you are still hanging in there, must be all the hard work you are doing, I mean not that many triplets make it past 30 weeks or so right? And how exciting that your BP and cervix are doing so well!

Amy-glad to hear your test went well!

Katrina-glad to hear you had a great vacation! I really hope strangers dont touch my belly, I would probably get really upset! I am afraid to start school in August too, I am actually terrified, especially because I teach Pre-K and am constantly getting on the floor and getting back up, or running after the one kid who likes to run away! That is the funniest story about your funnel cake! What a great DH you have, mine would have told me to make my own or something, lol! But now it is starting to sound really good, hmmmm wonder if there are any fairs around me!

Is it a normal test to get, the NST that is? My doc has not mentioned anything about it, just wondering if it is a standard test or just given for certain reasons. Oh and last night we got to see the nursery and they had two brand new babies in there, they were just sooooo cute!

Shelley - fantastic weights and the one boy is so close I imagine that isn't even a concern at all - way to go!

Sarah - that's funny that you mention the book. I was reading last night and noticed the book kept getting kicked and when I tried to show dh he accused me of making my belly do that - as if :-)!

Someone at my last shower is making my life miserable. Apparently, one of my friends moms or one of the new parents got in my dh's ear about the need to sleep on the left side so now if I finally get to sleep and am on my right he wakes me up and tells me to roll over - grrr, I think he might get slapped next time. Doesn't he know I only have an hour before the next pee break and one hour on the "wrong" side is not going to make a difference!

Katrina - great pics, makes me want to go to the beach! I am orignally from Florida and that is where my parents live and usually 2 or three times a year we make it down there but no this year and I am jonesing for some sun and sand!!!

Last night I tried something pretty crazy - my feet have been so, so swollen and sore so I was desperate to help them - my dh got a bucket of ice water and I soaked them in there for about 30 minutes - yikes - but it did help. Alas, they are back to swollen this morning and will inevitably be super scary swollen by the time I get to class and visiting with my family this evening :-(.

Alana-Yay!! Glad your new OB wouldn't let you go pass 40 weeks, and looks like we'll be having another August birth!

Our forum is starting to look more like August Due Dates and no longer September! There are 9 of us in the forum, (based on our 4 girls, 5 boys list) and 6 are already looking like August Births, wow, August is only weeks away!

Shelley-36 weeks for you is only 4 weeks away & then you will be holding your beautiful & healthy babies! You definitely deserve "Mother of the Year Award" for doing so well with the triplets, I am so happy for you!!

Shellie-I asked my doctor about the left side and he said it doesnt matter, the right side is fine, so I toss from the right to the left all night long because if I lay on one side too long my hips are killing me! Next doctors appt ask in front of Dh and then he will leave you alone, I had to do this with lifting things because Dh would yell at me for bringing in a gallon of milk from the car!

Katrina-Thanks for painting such a great picture-feel like I'm already there relaxing! Glad both you & DH had a good vacation & thanks for sharing the pics...oh & Y-U-M-M-Y to the funnel cakes!

Fossie-I was having swelling too very bad & just as soon as my Dr said avoid eating out for lunch and of course me following her advise- the swelling went away! But she also said it might just be how the baby is positioned and where they could be putting pressure. Hope the swelling goes away!

As for cravings the only one I've been having this week is the "Caffe Mocha" from Panera Bread-decaf of course.

Shelley great appt!!!!

Katrina - you are glowing!

went in for my NST and fluid check....they did the fluid check and skipped the NST since they could see respitory activity with her
so far so good - and my sugars are going haywire again - never thought i would do a for that.

Alana - i still think you and DH should drive down in about 3-4 wks and have the baby here

Katrina, welcome back! Sounds like you had a great vacation. Most of my family live in Florida. I don't think I can take the heat right now. I usually go down with my DD a few times a year. Will see about next year since traveling right now would be too difficult with a 5 year old who doesn't want to carry her own bag!

Fossie, I soak my hands & feet in cold water all the time! Feels great! My swelling is from the heat. I've put my rings away for the remainder of my pregnancy since I can't get them off when I'm swollen. I have the central air on 73 & my house is nice & cool. Would make it 70 but my DD & DH will complain it's too cold.

Can't really complain about anything else, just the usual heartburn & exhaustion.

Shelley, I'm so glad the babies are doing so well with their weight! And you are doing so well with everything else.

My next OB appt. is Aug. 4th. That might be the group B strep test, not positive. Then I'll go to weekly appts.

I put on my calendar a while ago that August 26th is the date I'd like to deliver! We'll see. I'm sure the OB is right, I'll end up being late just like the 1st.

Have a great weekend!

Jill

Lol...I would LOVE to do that. Do you have a pool? I could have a water birth while sipping cocktails or something.

As for an August birth, nope I will still definately be in the September group. At 36 weeks we will only be talking to the OB about scheduling it, he wouldn't do anything until 37 weeks so its more likely it will only be a week or two earlier, around 37 to 38 weeks. However if Reed were measuring small for any reason we'd obviously leave him in there to cook for a bit longer. I'll only induce if all is fine on the final u/s.

Shelley, you are growing some healthy babies there, I am so amazed and proud of you for how well you are carrying them. I think Sarah is right about the measurements too, how can they really be accurate when there are three of them in there? A girl on another thread I chat to was constantly told her baby was measuring small, she wasn't doing well etc. She ended up giving birth to an 8 pounder!!

Sarah, how are you coping without your doppler???!! I like irritating the baby in certain positions too. My favourite is sitting upright and leaning forward so my belly gets a bit squished. Thats guaranteed to get a big kick from him! I am such a mean mummy.

Katrina, you look great in your photos, glowing and relaxed. And you don't look too big at all! What is up with all these people feeling they can comment on our bellies etc?? Are they just rude or is it just once you are pregnant you are no longer your own person. We are now property of the people or something!!

Its sticky and muggy here today, but also grey. Which isn't surprising, whenever its the weekend it rains!!
