Elisa - I haven't been able to wear my rings for a couple of months now - look knocked up and unwed when I'm out and about but oh well. We have been keeping our house at about 67 and I have even convinced dh to turn it to 65 some nights when I am tossing and turning too much. The windows frost over so I know it isn't good and my bill will probably be outrageous this month but oh well. My mom who lives in Florida with no air conditioning is coming in tonight and I bet she will make me turn it up since she is bound to be cold.

Alana - crazily enough I am hoping for September 11th - my furbaby was born on THE September 11th, we were married on August 11th, my birthday is March 11th, my best friend's bday is 9/11, the only time I have won gambling was in roulette on black 11, we had 11 fertilize, our original due date was October 11th, etc. ,etc. - needless to say 11 is our lucky number! I know it has bad juju with 9/11/01 stuff but I wouldn't be too upset if that is THE day!!!

Alana-I am sooooo lost without the doppler! I am tempted to go and buy one of those ones you can get at walmart but they dont have a display and I dont know if it would work on my chubby belly, lol! I like your squishing belly idea, I will have to try that one!

As for the ac, I have mine on 69 and a fan blowing on me, but it is too cold so I cover up with a blanket and my DH asks me why I dont just turn the ac down but if I do that i get too warm, so I would rather be cold with a blanket than too hot. Well it is DH birthday and I made him fried rice for his birthday dinner and I ate two helpings so I am going to go walk it off...only so I can make room for the homemade icecream cake I made, hehe!

Wow, if anyone should have a baby on September 11 its you Shellie! I get the feeling it would be really good luck for your baby, 11 is definately your number! I'm more a number 8 person myself....I have no idea why, I just like it for some reason.

YUMMY!! I LOVE ice-cream cake. I haven't had it in years but now I'm craving it like crazy. What flavours? I think I'm going to phone DH right now and get him to bring some ice-cream home.

Katrina-yaaaaay for your furniture being in!!! How exciting! Cant wait to see the pics!

Alana-I made oreo somthing or other ice cream cake, but it was really easy because I cheated and used ice cream sandwiches and layered in this hot fudge/cool whip/pudding/oreo mixture in between the layers and then topped it with more cool whip! Here's the link if anyone wants to try it, it literally took like 5 to 10 minutes and everyone thought I made if from scratch! OREO & Fudge Ice Cream Cake recipe at Kraftfoods.com

Katrina, you and your husband are the cutest couple! Those are some amazingly beautiful pictures. With the ocean in the background, they are just a perfect memory. I think you look great and are glowing like crazy! You do not look too big at all and I can't believe a stranger touched your belly. Shame on them! Yay your furniture is in! Can't wait to see pictures

Shellie, I wondered if a bucket of ice water would help my feet. hummm I guess not. The idea sounds refreshing though. I asked about the left side sleeping thing and was told it was ok to sleep on my right side. I try to do both but I can not go a full night sleeping on my left side. At some point I have to turn away from my DH's snoring LOL Actually I was told that I have been snoring lately. I think it is because I am still so congested and can not breath through my nose.

Jill, wow Aug 26 delivery date will come quickly! Will you be having a scheduled c-section?

oohhhh that ice cream cake looks soooo yummmy!!

Shelley - i try also to sleep on my left, but find that i am always on my right side when i wake up.

DH also told me that night my sugar dropped so low, he wasnt too worried while i slept, because i was snoring so loud it kept him up half the night ..... i think he was worried okay i would rather think that.
I have caught myself snoring though, it has actually woken me up .....

Ice cream cake sounds really good!!!!

Alana - i have a neighbor with a pool and the key to their house!!!

we had to move the kats annual shot appt upto today - they hate to go there. we brought the carry cases out yesterday and they both took off, one under our bed and the other behind the couch. it was actually quite funny to watch.
i figured in a wk or two, i wont be able to help DH catch them to get their shots.

Aedyn - was such a kicker yesterday and a roller - she went from laying on her left and kicking me on my right side to pushing her butt out then laying on her right side and kicking me on the left side.
Thank God she is staying head down! however, she got her little foot stuck again yesterday in between some ribs (thats what it felt like) i had to lean to the left for quite a few hours......it was like i was one tire deflated michlan man....if you can image that!

Shellie - That is so funny, I have this weird premonition that my twins are going to be born on 9/11. Not the best date, especially living around here in NYC. But given the option of that (36 weeks) or sooner, I'll take 9/11!

Hope everyone is surviving the heat - yikes. I feel like a fried egg!

Here are the pics of the nursery so far. Now keep in mind I still need to find/make curtains, hang a mirror, and purchase wooden letters to spell out Madison's name. I also have to find something to hand above the changing table. But I am so excited to finally have the furniture.

DH made a cute comment after putting the furniture in the nursery. He said, " You realize that Madison has more drawer space than I have." My comment to him was that she is a girl so that is expected!!!!!

You did such a nice job on her nursery, and I loooove the dots on the wall!!! And I really like all the colors and they go so well together! That is too cute what your DH said, I think most of our babies will have more space than they will, lol!

Well I am off to update my registry at BRU, some of our items have recently become discontinued so I want to check on them and possibly replace them, and it doesnt hurt to look around, lol!

Anyone feeling less movement lately? I know the babies are getting bigger and have less room but my little guy has not moved that much the past three or four days, I did a kick count last night, twice, and it took less than an hour for 10 movement and this morning it took 10 minutes, so I know he is moving but not unless I lay on my left side or sit very still...just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? And of course I was stupid and googled it and did not like what I read, ugh! But I did play some Carrie Underwood youtube videos and he moved around a lot, must be he likes her, lol! Well hope you ladies had a great weekend, we are another week closer to meeting our little miracles!!!

Sarah - no worries - when you are moving around he is moving around and you just dont really feel it.
i am always amazed when i lay down or sit to count movement how many times she is moving and kicking me.

have fun at BRU - i love going there.

we have two showers, one next saturday and the following saturday, so i have swore off spending until we know what in the world everyone else has gotten for her - i check on the registry and know of some stuff. my biggest fear is that everyone will buy clothes - we have soooo soooo much clothes already.

well i am off to the kitchen to finish preparing the brisket for our church pot luck lunch today - i cooked it all night long and woke up several times hungry! never cook over night, the aroma will keep you starving all night and ravished when you wake up

Well, we finally got started on the nursery - by no means done, but we got the cribs put together, my dad brought the furniture he made, my grandmother brought the bedding and curtains that she made, and we got lots of awesome stuff at the shower so we are definitely making progress. Here are a couple of pics of the nursery in progress!
