Elisa - i am with you, i used to tell DH to slow down because he is so much taller than me and his stride is so long.....no he is like a mile ahead of me! i just tell him, i will get there when i get there!

Shelley!!! today is the day you find out the little one's birthday!!! Have you decided on the final name??

Alana - you can get the scale to go down move the zero marker .... and voila - you can lose 20lbs in a day i know if that were only true!

I had pretty lousy night last night.....it was okay when i feel asleep, but about 1230 this morning, i woke up not feeling well, i checked my sugar it was fine, but my BP was 167/99!!! not once but twice! so i stayed up checking it for over a half hour - it did finally go down a little, but when i got up this morning it was elevated again.
My swelling is now so bad in my legs and feet that I can actually feel how streatched the skin is!
I have an appt tomorrow for my fluid check I think I will ask them to chat with me on what I should do if my BP stays high. I really dont know other than to call the Nurse on call.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELISA! Have a fantastic day hun, I hope you are being spoiled by your family. I thought I'd also mention I'm having pain in my belly area too. It feels like sharp twinges and its really uncomfortable. I assume its just stretching?

Christine, definately call the nurse or doctor. Aren't those symptoms typical for pre-eclampsia? Its definately better to be safe and go get yourself checked out. Let us know what they say.

Shelley, yay we get to find out the three little amigos birthday! Which reminds me, have you thought of the name for the third baby yet? I still think Jumping Jack is cute...lol...however I like surprises too.

I had a rough night last night. Nausea and cramping all night and I was starting to freak completely out...but this morning I feel fine again. I don't really know why I always feel worse in the evenings. I think today I'll try to lie down for most of it as Reed is putting alot of pressure on my cervix which is not good. If I'm to make it to 37 weeks I have to keep this heavy little baby off there!

Elisa-happy birthday!!!! I am def. walking slower, getting up slower, everything is going slower! And I have pain too when I try to get up, DH had to help me up off of the couch the other night and he reached out with one hand, I told him it was a two hander! Now I cant lay down as much when he isnt home because I am terrified I will get stuck on the couch because I cant get up, lol!

Amy-hope you get some sleep this weekend! I took a 2 hour nap yesterday and it made me feel sooo much better, but I bet you have a hard time taking naps with three active kids huh?

Christine-I agree with alana I would call the doc just to be safe.

Shelley-cant wait to hear a final due date!!! Hope those babies are nice and big!

ALana-I am not feeling that great either, I literally feel like I have morning sickness. But I feel crappy after a busy day and get more cramping, did you maybe overdo it yesterday?

So I am horrible and constantly check my registry and worry over not getting the things we really need, guess DH and I will be taking quiet the shopping trip in a few weeks! BRU sent me some great coupons for things like swings, car seats, pack n plays, and other things so if anyone was planning on ordering some of that stuff online I have online codes I can get you, but the offers expire August 14th. Oh and they have a lot of other sales in stores too, so it will be super tough not to go shopping tomorrow!

Sarah- I am constantly checking my registry too! I am also worried about not getting the things that we need...especially after my OB appoitnment yesterday. I was told that I CANNOT start school in August meaning I will be go without pay for 7 more weeks than I had expected. So now I fear that we will not even have the money to buy the things that we do not get. I am just putting it in God's hands and praying that people give us the things that we REALLY need!

Yes, everything is in slow motion and waiting mode for me too it seems. I'm not a super high energy type, more of a night person, but I do get frustrated at my lack of ability to move about when I want.

Christine, sorry to hear of your elevated BP--do call the doctor to be checked.

Alana, sorry to hear of your rough night....just try to relax today.

Happy Birthday Elisa!

Katrina, I'm worried about money too and missing work. Let's keep fingers crossed your friends and family come through for you

Sarah and Katrina - I have been doing the same thing and finally sat down and said ok, what do I absolutely have to have to bring these babies home and care for them and the list of things that we NEED is actually reassuringly not that long. I did get some things that would be really nice to have but that I don't actually need that I am thinking about returning - a really nice swing, a double stroller (which I found a perfectly good one and a snap and go at a consignment sale yesterday), etc. that I could get the money for to get more essentials but I am dragging my feet on that because I like the ones we have better - isn't that selfish!

Alana - I too feel like I have morning sickness at night - I constantly feel nauseated and I have been chalking it up to horrible acid reflux that I can't seem to get under control even only eating the blandest of bland foods. And helping me up is definitely a two-handed job - dh helped me out of the bathtub the other day (the only place I can still manage to shave myself :-), and I literally almost dragged him in with me!

Shelley - can't wait to hear the birthday!

Elisa - Happy Birthday!

Katrina-why isnt your doc letting you go back? THat is what I am terrified of, that my doc will tell me I cant go back to school, I really worry about it not just financially but also because I know how important those first few weeks are for the kids! I will be crossing my fingers that you get all that you need!

Shellie-that is a good idea, I guess after my shower on Saturday Dh and I will have to do that! I am too terrified of the bathtub because I just know I will get stuck, lol! As for the shaving I try and go as long as possible in between shavings, its such a pain! About the time we can wear long pants again we will all be able to touch our toes again and not have a problem shaving, lol!

Sarah,
due to getting a postive result on the ffn, I am on bedrest now. I was hoping that when school starts (I will be 36 weeks) she would let me start, but she said NO that it would be too stressfull for me and the baby.

I am terrified about not being their for my kindergarteners. The first few weeks are so importnant. My substitute is right out of college. As a kindgarten teacher there are so many things that I teach that are not in a manual. My biggest fear is that I am going to go back in Jan and my kiddos won't be where they should be. Oh well, worrying is not going to solve anything. My co-workers have assured me that they will help my sub out and make sure that she is teaching my kids what they need to know!!!!!

Katrina-I know exactly how you feel and with Pre-K there is no manual! I mean we follow a certain curriculum but it is so important to get those rules and routines down and everyone does is differently, I have a new assistant this year so there is that adjustment, but luckily I asked for her because she is fantastic and I know she will do just fine its just tough because it takes time to get used to each other and they way I do things is very different from the teacher she worked with last year...but like you said there isnt much you can do and the stress is sooo not worth it, sometimes I wish I still taught 5th grade where there is such a set curriculum! So you are taking some extra time off then after the baby? I wish I could do that but financially there is no way I can do it, but it will be so nice for you to spend that time with your baby! =)

Ugh... I have to wait until 5:30 for my doctors appointment. I am getting pretty excited. If he doesn't have a date set I will make him because I am determined now to know when I will meet the little ones. Last night I am sure I felt my first real BH contractions Ok maybe they are not real but only BH but they did hurt a bit. I only had 3 all evening and there was no pattern to them but they were uncomfortable. The tightness was lower and went around to my back. I prayed for me not to go into labor before I got my hair done this morning. LOL They were just BH but they were stronger than the normal tightness of my upper belly.

Elisa, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have a great day. I don't think I have ever met a Leo I did not like My Dad's birthday was the day after mine and sometimes I think we drove my Mom crazy because we were so much a like and a little silly at times.

Christine, I hope you BP goes down. I have been really worried that I will get preeclampsia because my swelling keeps getting worse. My legs really hurt me now, especially bending my ankles and knees. My thighs are like the size my waist use to be

As far as the 3rd baby name, so far we are sticking with Luke unless something else pops into our mind. I kind of like Luke. DH read a blog about triplets and one of the boys was named Jack and he died after a couple of months, so DH says no way to Jack. That is ok...I actually knew a Jack who was a bit of a jack-a$$ LOL Nice name though....

Shelley I love the name Luke too. I'm on pins and needles here waiting to find out the birth date of your three. I think my bp might be going up like Christines with the waiting! It also sounds like your babies might be planning their own birthday! Strong BH could be a sign? Let us know what the doctor says.

Katrina, I sympathize with you on the bedrest. Theres only so much bad television you can watch and magazines you can read. Also, every episode of Baby Story I've seen in the last week has featured a preemie baby. Are they trying to torture me!

I also wanted to say I completely know how you girls feel about finances. Remember, DH and I didn't even have a baby shower (New Zealanders sadly don't seem to do them) so we have had to buy most of it ourselves. But we've decided that for a few months at least we will just have to use our credit cards and we will worry about the debts later on. Its tough...but sooooo worth it.

The triplets will be born next weekend, Saturday August 9 around 3 pm!!!!!

I will be 35w4d ~ almost 36 weeks, which was our personal goal. The doctor seems to think that the babies are ready to come out. Last weekend he delivered another set of triplets at 35 weeks and they went home with their Mommy. I am really hoping for take home babies too but the most important thing is that they are born healthy. If they need a few more days to grow that is ok. Both my husband and I knew it would either be the 9th or the 16th but it was still a shock to hear that their birthday will be the 9th. I had to fight back the tears because it was emotional to realize that the time is so close to meet my little miracles. I just have to make it through this week and then I can walk into my scheduled c-section! Wow!
