I have heard that it is typically lower in pregnancy and that is why it is even more alarming when it is exceedingly high - but I don't really know. I would go with what your docs say.

Everyone have fun at your showers - I am so glad ours are done (with the exception of one) I am just too sore and tired and swollen to play nice for too long these days!

Tracy - glad to hear it was a bladder infection and not ptl! I have never had a bladder or kidney infection either and freaked out when I started having pains with the kidney stones - never imagined that it would be like that - UTI and bladder infections are miserable but luckily easily fixed!

those bladder infections really are aweful! i am glad they got you on those antibiotics.

so far my bp is doing okay - not as high as yesterday, they think maybe i was a little dehydrated. but the appt went well.
my ob appt and nst are due again on tuesday, so i'll get more info on the amnio and induction.

tomorrow is gonna be fun - lots of presents for Aedyn! then Sunday DH and I will pick up the last things we think we will need before our beautiful girl gets here!

Charms...glad your bp is better. I am so jealous of everyone's showers. I have more than enough stuff, but I want new stuff for this baby! I just want everything to be clean and new...I think it's a weird nesting thing. I have been re-arranging cabinets like nobody's business....is anyone else doing this???

Elisa, I just LOVE your nursery. Its so big and bright....I can't wait to move out of our teeny tiny crackhouse into something much larger. Hopefully DH will hurry up and get us to LA so I can start looking at all the gorgeous big houses up near where Shelley lives.

Tracy, I'm glad to hear it was just a bladder infection. Having had them myself before I know how uncomfortable they are. Thankfully it wasn't PTL though and you can stay in the September group with us.

Shelley, I'm still so excited over here. I can't wait to see what all your babies look like. I don't blame you for getting nervous trying to figure out what you need to do. I'd be running around like a chicken with its head cut off right about now...that is if I physically could! lol. Its good your DH is organized, mine is definately not. If it were the two of us we'd probably leave the hospital and forget to bring the babies with us!

Sarah and Christine, have fun at your showers this weekend. Post pics of all your pressies if you can.

I'm having this weird stabbing pain next to my belly button at the moment. I don't know if its stretching or something else. If it gets worse I'll go get it checked out...but is anyone else feeling this?

Shelley, I feel emotional too....I remember when I first came on the board you had just received your and now you will hold your little three babies. I can't believe it! Wonderful and exciting news!! I am so proud of your accomplishment of getting these babies here in such a healthy way--you really did a great job.

Elisa, I love the lightness of the room and the stripes look great....I'd never trust my eye to be able to make straight lines. It looks airy and stylish, very cool.

Alana, glad you have no more symptoms, let's keep to our original goals of delivering in September.
Is anyone else scared of giving birth? I've been thinking of that lately after our Multiples Childbirth class.

Tracy, glad to hear you're okay, what a scare.
Christine, what a relief your BP is stable. Now you can fully enjoy your shower.

My inlaws sent us a care package yesterday with lovely and charming German baby items: very cool mobile with lights, made of wood in stars, clouds with little faces. Two identical little outfits which we'd love to use as their coming home outfits. They have such wonderful attention to detail in their craftmanship. Also bumpers which we can use until they are able to move in their cribs an then maybe attach to the walls-that's what I was thinking. It was really nice, overall the artwork looks like the illustrations you see in those old-fashioned classic children's books, which I've always loved.

To all the ladies with showers this weekend--good luck and enjoy!!

Hi ladies! I had a lot of catching up to do. Just been too tired to get on the computer & post. Our contractors finally finished Corinne's room, now we're waiting for our painter to call us back. He's a good friend of ours which is probably why he's taking so long. I hate that, but he does really good work. Anyway, just need the furniture to come in & get delivered, but again with the high gas prices deliveries are taking much longer.

Shelley, I'm so excited about your induction date! A week from today! You'll have nurses doting on you & the babies for a few days - it'll be great!

Elisa, I love the nursery! The colors & stripes are very beautiful. And Happy Belated Birthday!

I just ordered crib bedding & window treatments. I'm very late with getting things together this time around. Tired & lazy!

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I have an OB appt. on Monday afternoon & I can't remember if I'm having an internal @ this one since having a month left. But I know my appts. will be weekly. He'll only induce me @ 38 or 39 weeks if my cervix is thinning & I'm dilating. So I may still have a Sept. baby. Who knows, only time will tell.

Christine, I'm so glad your induction date is set. My DD came out face down which is much easier to deliver than a baby coming out face up. So as long as Aedyn is head 1st & face down you should be ok pushing her out.

Hope I have the same delivery as the 1st. I'm so afraid that it'll happen too fast! "They" say 2nd baby comes faster. Can anyone confirm?

Mmmm, my friend & I took our kids out to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner last night (my DH is away @ a Music Festival in Newport, RI for the weekend) & I took home a slice of dark chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake! OMG, it was heavenly. Now all is want is sweet stuff.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Can't wait to hear about everyone's shower!

Jill

Elisa, I LOVE your nursery. The color is really beautiful. I also love the windows. Your little one is so lucky!!

Tracy, sorry to hear about the bladder infection but it is great that it was not your mucus plug!!

Sarah and Christine have fun at your showers!!!!
Christine, it is good to hear that your BP is better. Take care

Tracy, I have not had the energy to do the typical nesting rearranging thing but my DH has. LOL He totally took everything out of our hall closets last weekend and put some things in storage, making room for baby stuff!! I do want everything to be new and clean though. I have been fortunate to have received lots of hand me down items and boy clothing but I went on a buying binge at the Childrens Placce sale because I just needed some brand new, coordinating clothing!

Alana, I wish my house was big but it is small. In a couple of years we will be getting a bigger one. If we move out of the community area where we are we will be able to buy a bigger house for the same money. Maybe we will end up in the same area

Awe, Justine, thanks. I remember you when I was first on here too. We have come along way!!! It really has been an amazing journey and so wonderful to share it with others going through the same thing. Your German care package from your inlaws sounds great. My MIL is German and she always finds things that remind her of her heritage. I just love it.

Jill, I can't wait to see pictures of the nursery. I am sure it is well worth the wait! I have been really tired too. Hang in there, August will go by quickly and before you know it will be Sept!!

Jill-I am super jealous of your cheesecake!!! Its my favorite food in the whole world!!! Glad to hear the babies room is done, yay!

Alana-I have random stabing pains in varous spots, I do notice at night when I have to pee I get bad pain in my lower abdomen...but if it keeps up def. get it checked.

Justine-terrified of giving birth right here!!!! I think it is pretty normal to have that fear, I was ok up until about a week or so ago and then it really hit me that this little human has to come out of me!!!

Tracy-I want to nest but am too lazy to do it, lol!

So the shower was great!!! We got a ton of stuff and of course I forgot to even get my camera out of my purse so I will have to wait until my friends and family send me pics, but DH did take one of me at home surrounded by all the gifts. I have only gone through half of the bags and already have 30 outfits, a ton of things of the registry, and 16 packages of diapers! It was insane! My mom did a thing where if you brought a package of diapers you got a raffle ticket and about half of the guests brought one. DH is quite overwhelmed (spelling is wrong on that one huh?) by all the presents and things to put away, but as with most typical men he took anything electronic and got it out and played with it! So now I am exausted and I think the baby is too because he has been really quiet today so off to bed! Christine hope your shower was great too! Have a great sunday ladies!

For the twin Mommies ~ here is a website that lists companies that offer Multiple discounts and freebies!! It is worth it to contact the formula companies if you plan on using formula. I hope to breastfeed but if I need to supplement with formula I will take advantagee of the multiple program. I talked to a local rep for Enfamil and I can get a case (6 cans) for each baby free!

Yeah Shelley, I dont think we will have to buy diapers for the first three months, lol!

Speaking of diapers I was going to tell you ladies a cute story. On friday at BRU there was a sale where if you bought two boxes of pampers diapers you got a 15 dollar gift card. So my friend and I were standing there and debating it when this woman came up with a cart and just started filling it, she was obviously preggo. Well she started talking to my friend who has a 8 month old and come to find out she is having twins (and for all you twin mommies who were told you didnt look like you were having twins, dont worry she didnt either and she only has a few weeks to go, must be she has a certain body type where it doesnt show as much), but she loaded that cart until I thought it would all come tumbling down, she had to have 10 or more boxes! She was just too cute! Oh and she didnt know the sexes, she wanted to be suprised, I couldnt believe it!

Well I am off to the flea market to hopefully find a dresser for the babies room and then to BRU to do some shopping with my gift cards, yaaaay!!!

That is a cute story Sarah. Wow that was a good deal for diapers!! I could see doing that!!!

On Friday they had a baby shower for my DH at his work. It was amazing ~ he did really well. One of his co-workers put in on. He is a Harley Davidson riding kind of guy and he put on this cute baby shower with decorations and cake and the whole thing! We got a gigantic gift basket full of onesies from ON, swaddle blankets and tons of other stuff. It was the never ending basket!! We also got $900 cash! I can see us going on a diaper buying spree soon!!

Have fun shopping!!!

Sarah, glad your shower was such a success and you feel more ready.

Shelley, thanks for the links for discounts. I've found some request birth certificates....I wonder how soon after they're born we get those?

Oh, I know, we will go through so many diapers, but I've only bought a few packs to try out; one newborn and the next up. I want to see how big the girls are. I"m feeling so overwhelmed, still, about what we need that we're really going on buying what we know we need, carseats, one bouncer, etc and a wait and see on after that. It's frustrating that each item you need there are so many choices, opinions, debate--it's confusing, none of it is simple. For instance, I've heard/read that places will inspect your car seat installation for safety and that such a high number are found to be incorrect. I've called my local police, they say they no longer have the license necessary to provide that service. They toll free number they gave me was wrong and was some lady's home. I'm probably getting frustrated too easily these days, but I put it down and go back to it later with a level head, but each step to progress seems so problematic. What bottles to use....sounds simple until you start looking/researching.

I'm getting aches and pains in lower abdomen too. I'd love to make it to 38 weeks with twins but six more weeks of this is a dreary thought right now. Sorry to be such a whiner today, that's where I'm at today.
Hope your Sundays are relaxing and healthy.

Katrina, that is a great picture of you. You are so beautiful. It is such a peaceful shot, I love it!!

Justine, I know that there is a place at my hospital where I can get the babies birth certificates. I am hoping it won't take too long to get copies but I didn't ask what the wait was. I am going to send copies to all the companies on the list, just in case. They usually do require them.

A really good friend of ours came over and gave us a brand new single stroller. Now we have a triple, double and single. Perfect!!

I am exhausted today. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
