Congratulations Christine.
to the world baby Aedyn! Justine, I struggled to find a good swaddling blanket too however luckily I discovered this brand and they are really nice and large and will be big enough as baby grows. They aren't very stretchy however I haven't found that to be a problem (while praciticing on Reed's teddy bear of course...lol). They are quite cute looking too, I bought the ones with the modern circles, and you just need to check out the 'where to buy' section to see which stores stock them. SwaddleDesigns - 123 Swaddle Blanket Collections Keep us posted on your pee-in-a-pail results. Maybe your twins will be here soon. Are any of you other girls starting to get nervous about induction? It seems to me that many people go in for one and come out having an emergency c-section. If thats the case I'd rather just book a c-section up front as I'm sure in an emergency they don't do the surgery as neatly as if it were planned. I will have to ask my OB tomorrow. So girls its my growth u/s tomorrow morning and I'm very very nervous, especially since its also my b'day tomorrow. I hope this means I'll get some good news and hes doing fine, that would be the best present in the world. If not, I guess we'll see what the OB says our next step is. I will post later in the afternoon when I know the results. Meanwhile, keep all your fingers and toes crossed ladies.

Alana-Happy Birthday!!! Hope you get the best present today that Reed is doing great!!!!
Ok ladies I have a question, have you found your baby is less active now and are you feeling less movement? I have been freaking out for the last few days because my little guy has been very quiet but I still feel movement. Now the books I read and the websites I visit say that I should still be feeling the same amount/number of kicks or movements but every other woman I have talked to has said that they did feel less movement in the last month or so...so I dont know what to think and figured I would ask you ladies....I know I have been more active the last three days because of going back to work and assumed he would not move as much if I was moving around alot but I am just worried, or maybe paranoid is a better word for it. But I dont know how much longer I can work, it is really tough already and when the kids come back to school its only going to get worse! Well TGIF!!!! Hope you ladies have a great weekend! Christine-looking forward to your first post!!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes girls. I just got back from the hair salon after the u/s as I needed a pick-me-up and that always helps.
Anyway, the u/s went much better than expected. The OB said he wouldn't be making a decision on how the growth is going until I have the 2 week one next Wednesday...he needs all the information to decide how Reed is doing. However, the technician showed us all the measurements and he gained almost a full 1/2 pound this last week! So we were so happy to hear that. His tummy is still measuring behind and is a bit skinny, but she also said many babies measure this far behind and she thought he looked very healthy. I kind of figure what with all the u/s she does she must know. So I'm feeling much more positive today. I'm back resting up for the next 2 weeks and DH still have me eating like a piggy, so hopefully the last u/s on Wednesday will confirm that hes doing okay. Either way, it was the best birthday present! Sarah, I also wanted to say that I think less movement is normal. They don't have much room in there anymore. I feel Reed when he kicks etc but other than that not much as he can't turn around like he used too. I'm sure Jackson is just all squished up in there now and can't stretch his little legs out. But if you're ever worried definately go to L&D triage and have them check hes okay. I've already decided that I don't care if I'm annoying them....I'd rather my baby was healthy and would rather bother triage on a daily basis than lose him. Maybe do a kick count? Sit down for an hour and count how often he moves. I think if he moves 10 times in that hour over a 24 hour period hes probably fine, and maybe hes just been snoozing.

Alana...glad you got much needed good news today on your birthday! Reed is going to be just fine...just keep resting and eating up...I wish someone would tell me to eat alot...my diet is SO restricted.
Sarah...I have had a lot less movement too. Plus with you working all day, you won't feel him as much as you are busy and walking around.

Ok I get really irritated when I just finish typing up a post and hit the wrong button and then it is gone!!!
Thanks girls for the responses, I think I posted a similar question a week or more ago, darn pregnancy brain, how annoying am I?! Anyhoo I am feeling some movement just not as much as I used to and sometimes I can feel with my hand from the outside his bottom or foot pushing out but cant feel it from the inside, if that makes any sense...and just now he gave me two good kicks and then kicked really low and it was super painful...so I guess he is letting me know he is there but only when he wants to! But thanks for the reassurance and I will def. go to the L&D if there is any less movement, I bet part of it could be me stressing over it too huh? Alana-that is great news!!!!!! It sounds like you have a little piggy in there! I just realized you only have about two weeks left until he comes huh? How exciting! Ok well off to make macaroni salad and brownies for a bbq tomorrow...I should have just bought some already made!

Hi ladies!
Alana, that's great news. I think the downside of being closely monitored throughout pregnancy is that smallest things are being observed and shared which really increases the anxiety we all feel. I'm thankful to be followed so closely but it has also highlighted some "scares," that really turned out to be nothing. I've also seen this happen with so many of you here. Boy the stress we feel as a result of this is more harmful to the baby, I'd say. I'm sure it will work out for us all. AND we can deal with any problems that may arise...look how far we've come!! Sarah, I've felt less movement too and the doc said they don't have much room to move, so would encourage you to not worry about it, esp if your doc is not worried. Brought my 24 hrs worth of urine into the lab today in what appeared to be a gas can container. Should hear tomorrow if I need an emergency C-section, but doubt it. I'm borderline: both bp and protein in urine, so it's not worsening. I really want to make it a few more weeks. Christine, hope all is well with you and wishing all the ladies a great weekend.

I agree Justine, the worrying and stress doesnt help, but then again I know how hard it is not to do it, its like a double edged sword! And it is amazing how far we have all come and it is super exciting that with the births coming we get to see what all our hard work was for!
So on another note I had a very interesting dream, I should start writing a book about my dreams, this one last night alone could be turned into a book! And I kept meaning to post about a comment that Dh made a week or so ago, we were laying on the couch and DH was talking to Jackson and singing him the ABC's (seems to be jacks favorite song because he moves like crazy when DH sings it to him) and Dh got quiet and then said the me, "Have you every loved someone or something so much that it hurts to breath? because that's the way I feel about jackson." Well let me tell you I had all I could do not to loose it and cry, I just wasnt expecting it because Dh is such a jokester that I thought he was going to make a smart comment about loving my swollen feet or something like that...just wanted to share it with you all, sometimes I forget I am not the only one going through this pregnancy and it means as much to him as it does to me. Another random thouigh, anyone writing a letter to their baby or babies? It suggests it in a few of my books and I just dont know how to put down in words how I feel....heck half the time I cant verbalize how I feel because pregnancy brain has affected my words!!! Have a great weekend ladies!
