Charms- My u/s is jan. 21st. It seems forever away. Thats funny you say that I can barely eat breakfast but by lunch I am starving and dinner I just want a light snack. My stomach feels icky is the only word I can use to describe it not really naustious just before that.

Nursectu- I know the feeling I popped very early with Jacob and it looks like this little one will follow in his footsteps but I think I am a bitted bloated too. I sorry you aren't feeling well it is hard especially at that time although I don't know if there is ever a really good time.

Babysteps I can't wait to see your bean count.

And a big huge CONGRATULATIONS!! to everyone else who just got their BFPs!!

persephone- your beta sounds fine. You will have to look at Charms poll. I can't remember the exact numbers but I think it was under 100 at first beta girl. I'll have to look it up again. Congratulations on your

It is getting busy in here! Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!! This is so exciting!

Do you guys know when the first ultrasound is typically done? My first one was suppose to be after 7 weeks but then they moved mine up to Monday cause of the bleeding. Now it seems it is more in line with when everyone else is getting their first. Do you think I have a chance at hearing the heartbeat?

Just curious....

you would be about 6w3d - you might see a little flicker, but i wouldnt count on acutally seeing heartbeat. although your beta is pretty high....i still think you are having twins!

my u/s isnt until 6w5d which is the same time as the twins, i am really hoping to see and hear a heartbeat, but think that this little one implanted later....and am not going to be disappointed if we dont....i have my perinatal visit 2 weeks later, they will do another u/s.

Thank you, Christine! You are too funny - we would just be so happy to see one thriving jelly bean, of course 2 would be incredible - not sure though with the bleeding and the beta not really doubling

So are you going to an RE right now or an ob/gyn right now? I don't know if we need to go to a ob or a peri...

for us all to see our healthy little jelly bean(s)!

Jess

i am seeing an RE, i skipped the OB all together, becuase i fit 2 other high risk categories. i liked my OB, but i got the boot last time after 2 appointments

so i had my PCM put the referral in to the perinatologist.

if i were you, i would try to get a perinatologist.....they seem to have a better bed side manner, they dont carry the same type of patient load and their offices can give you better attention, not to mention, they sometimes get special treatment when you are at their delivering hospital for anything.

like when my mucus plug dropped, i walked into the ER and said I am a PPA client and they put me in a chair and took me straight up the OB Triage, no questions, and I was in a room within 5 minutes.....and there were a ton of ladies in Triage that looked like they were going to pop. Fortunately for me when i got all dressed in there gown and took 3 steps out of the room to give a urine sample....the unfortunately thing happened my water broke. But I thank God that he put me in the right place at exactly the right time.

I am sticking my perinatologist for every pregnancy!

A Perinatologist is an OB who specializes in Maternal Fetal Medicine, "high risk pregnancies" and with twins you would be better suited to see a perinatologist!

Melissa - how are the twins doing?

Christine~ thanks for the info I was so lost.... LOL... I'm such a ..... Uhhhh... the twins I guess are doing great they make me sick to my stomach EVERYDAY now so I guess their having FUN!!!LOL!!! I get hungry then I eat then I get sick and if I dont eat I get sick..... I think it might actually be the foods I choose to eat.... I just went and bought some fruit so maybe that will help!!!

Ok with the perinatologist do I have to ask for it or will they just send me to one???? They just asked me the other day what hospital is closest to us and said that they would pull some OB/GYN's from that hospital for us to choose from but how do I know which one to get??? I'm kind of scares!!!
